  1. I mean, just try to hold it tighter, and slide more. I was a bit concerned about the no sleeves for him.
  2. I envy you, sir. It's been 6 days for me. But strangely, as the game gets closer, I'm feeling better. We are such a better team than them, and there is zero comparison between Allen & Jones.
  3. I'm higher on Stevenson than most - I think he has potential if he can take care of the ball security. But the playoffs is not the time to work that out.
  4. I'm so pumped. It's not THAT cold (sub zero, like some were saying). If the Pats beat us at home twice this season, they've earned it. They won't. If we play this game 10 times, the Bills win 9.9.
  5. Allen gonna throw for 400 & 4 tonight.
  6. If I'm a Bengals fan, I'm like, how is this a one score game? Raiders in perfect position to steal it.
  7. McKenzie has been really good on returns overall - I'm happy w/ that.
  8. It's like going to Philly and getting a cheese steak at Gino's.
  9. I love that pic of Josh. I bet Jones looks freaked out.
  10. Cold isn't wind. In other news, chocolate isn't broccoli.
  11. Not to harp on the weather - but isn't 5 degrees with very low winds roughly the same as 20 degrees with, say, 15-20 mph winds? I always think about that Giants/Packers game in 2007, where it was over minus 20 with the wind. This isn't that - and Eli threw well that game.
  12. You have to think so fast in sports - that's one that has to be pre-programmed if you're a returner.
  13. Is anyone seeing a shift in the weather? I've seen a couple of sites now saying 7-8 degrees. Which is significant when it's this cold.
  14. "Look out for the team that gets hot in December" is one of the oldest narratives in sports. That's us. It ain't them.
  15. That would be my dream evening, and practically erase 2 decades completely. Beat the Pats handily, and BB announces his retirement right after.
  16. All good - I've done that too. And that guy is a troll.
  17. Patriots fans always say "it's us against everyone!" But on this one, they're right. In my job, I talk to people all across the U.S. - people aren't just casually rooting for the Bills tonight. They're Mafia for a day - they are all in. We're the Rebel Alliance tonight. But not underdogs like they were.
  18. Yeah - that was odd. Maybe he meant the other poster.
  19. Man, I just thought of this....does anyone know the Heat Miser's favorite charity?
  20. The "I just want to go home!" factor could be a big one for the visiting team. Fans won't let the Bills have that kind of letdown if it doesn't start out great, but if the Pats are behind, it's just human to start to think that at a certain point.
  21. It's oversimplifying, but the Bills have 2 essential paths to victory today: they can get off to a hot start & build a lead, or they can fall behind and come back. The Pats only have one of those options, imo. They're the team that HAS to take the early lead and hold it. On the road, in this weather & with a run-centric offense, they can't come back if they get down by more than a score, unless they get some lucky breaks. I wouldn't want to be that team. That was a defining characteristic of many of our drought-era teams, and it's very limiting.
  22. I spent the entire Chargers/Raiders game hoping that this would not be the result. Now I'm totally embracing it. We've gone a long way burying the demons w/ a sweep last year, and beating them at Gillette this year. But a win over them in the playoffs? I'd really compare it to when the Red Sox finally beat the Yankees in the playoffs in 2004 (hate to use that analogy, but if the shoe fits).
  23. It's hard to think of a coach in any sport who is less likely to continue with a worse line-up simply because he felt like he had to play a 1st rounder. Belichick is getting old. Soon, he'll be playing shuffleboard while the rest of the league is playing football.
  24. I thought Belichick was supposed to be this great coach? He didn't know that when they were all healthy?
  25. Did you clear that chowda w/ anyone? That's a very New Englandy dish. Beef on weck is, of course, universally acceptable and needs no red tape.
