what was Josh Allen? That is the key to everything. -
Trent Dilfer: "I don't think Josh Allen should be playing"
Matt_In_NH replied to VW82's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The reality is there is somewhere near 100% chance we see Peterman again due to injury. Between the OL play, the running plays and Allen's reckless style he is virtually guaranteed an injury at some point. How this team has not signed another vet is confusing to me. -
Looks like the bills are rubbing off on the Sabre’s. Or is it the other way around? Hmmmmm

Well the thread topic is counting this year as well so why wouldn't we count all the wins over both years? Yeah they are a worse team this year just based on talent they have lost. They also offloaded a bunch of talent last year. Is McDermott a good coach? I have some doubts as do you it sounds like. We have no choice but to let it play out so even though I have doubts I also have reasons to think he can turn out good. But it wont be this year. The key to everything is Josh Allen. If he busts, so does McDermott.

Hello From A Titans Fan -- Titans Come to Town
Matt_In_NH replied to KitchenerKaizer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills are pretty healthy but the vast majority of the players are not very good so even if they were injured no one would know. -
He sucks, how many superbowls has he won without Brady as a HC? He was HC in Cleveland before he had brady and got fired.

That was awesome

This is an outrage! Fire Schopp! -
There are fans who are not happy with him becuase of his lack of playoff success over his career. I would welcome him to Buffalo in a heartbeat.

Star and Shaq Stats Alarming
Matt_In_NH replied to BuffaloBillsMagic1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't worry about Star's tackle numbers, look at how the run defense is doing when he is in there. Lawson go injured early in week 1 I think, he gets the rest of the season to get going. I think he was showing progress in the preseason but a hurt hamstring is tough, even when you are playing, may not be 100% -
Allen had most time to throw than any QB
Matt_In_NH replied to *******'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let me say this up front, I agree with most in that Benjamin has been a total disappointment. But the QB has something to do with this. I think part of this is also the design to throw to a guy who has not gotten separation. I assume to this point Benjamin is the primary target on a fair amount of plays, he is not getting separation but the QB is throwing the ball anyway. I am not an expert but this is what I saw from attending the game. The Packers confused Allen and the offensive line before the snap in terms of where they were bring pressure from. I saw at few times where a guy was open in a zone but the opposite direction of where Allen was looking. I think the defense was adjusting after the snap based on Allen's eyes and since he is not a savvy vet, he was not able to find where the holes were, there were some though. If you dont beat the pressures, they keep bringing them and that is what happened. Allen has to beat the blitzing and make the defense pay, then they wont blitz as much. He had time on many plays, the line is not good but not as bad as many are saying. -
Allen is a budding superstar
Matt_In_NH replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont think there is evidence he is a budding superstar and I dont think there is evidence he is a bust. He has made some good plays and some awful plays. We have to just give this time to see if he learns from his mistakes and grows into the position. -
OP may be right but the reality is every team has second round busts. Last years draft was not bad....Tre White and Dawkins were good picks...White was a home run if you forget they traded back instead of taking Mahomes. Milano looks good for a fifth rounder Allen and Edmunds this year.....still too early to tell.

Would you rather have: Mahomes or both Allen & Tre?
Matt_In_NH replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OK, so both QB's had their worst statistical day of the year this past week. Mahomes through only through for 300 and one TD which is pretty bad for him. Seriously, the 81.13% of people who picked Josh Allen and Tre White have issues.....I get that is the option we wnat to work out in the big picture but based on what you know now how could you not pick Mahomes. Beane did not trade the pick to KC, Whaley and McDermott did. LOL what do you smoke? -
