  1. Thats likely it, you keep pushing as high as you can get as it buys you more flexibility as the draft approaches. Say we can go up to #3, doesnt mean we don't stop talking to the Giants to move up to #2 but at the very least you have hedged in the security at that spot then you would giving other teams an opportunity to move up.
  2. I have to say, its pretty awesome to have a front office that is on a mission to secure a QB they believe in.
  3. Lost in the trade up is the cap value we just opened up. Suddenly we are sitting with what, $40 million in cap room?
  4. Suddenly going up to top 5 looks realistic.
  5. My god if we moved up to 12, Beane is the !@#$ing man.
  6. To you, but what if they hit on most of those first 6 picks and get probowlers all over the team? Suddenly you don't need an Aaron Rodgers, a middle tier QB will do.
  7. It's only going to be "fun" if the Bills do what each one wants them to do. If they simply draft with all those picks the BPA and don't end up with a consensus top QB in the draft I'm sure it will be a horror for many who expect to be drafting their guy top 3.
  8. I don't think there can be another Ryan Leaf. Part of what made him the biggest bust was the fact it was a coin toss between Manning and Leaf as the by far best two players in the class. Manning going down as arguably the best QB all time and Leaf going down slowly with all the drama of his attitude and addiction later on. It's very hard to repeat all those circumstances and not every bust is Ryan Leaf just as every non 1st round QB success is a Tom Brady.
  9. He could go on to be the next Brady and he will still go down as the worst QB in NFL history for the SD game in many minds.
  10. Depends on a million variables. What fans feel should be done isn't always what is feasible or smart to do.
  11. I wonder if trading Tyrod will stop the rumours that we are interested in Jackson.
  12. Experience and intelligence are different though, many players need experience to gain confidence in themselves in their ability to analyze reads and progressions but to suggest someone can learn to do that sounds the same to me as being able to learn to grow 3" or learn to run faster.
  13. I disagree, you can't teach someone to improve mental qualities. Intelligence just like physical traits are something you either have or you don't.
  14. Rosen, looks like the safest QB ATM although the attitude stigma doesn't help.
  15. Everyone knows that what a player does in their first game ever is indicative of the career they will have.
  16. Or literally the first in the third...
  17. He should probably run to Cleveland, he will get there faster than through the air.
  18. Can't believe we got such a high pick for him. I'm so happy!
  19. So three white guys are offended at the thought of perceived racism due to legitimate criticism (that all prospects get) of a players weaknesses... Never heard of this before.
  20. I think its more that they want to add depth and competition without having to mess up the compensation formula. Its much easier to stick with BPA on your draft board when you don't have glaring needs.
  21. Draft regret won't kick in until after all the Qb's people want get picked before 21 and even then they will be mad we didn't trade the next two drafts for their guy.
  22. Old players with expensive years left under contract are not valuable.
