  1. Did anybody think going in that one of Rosen/Darnold would fall out of the top 5? We might get the QB and keep our bonanza of picks.
  2. The only fear now is for someone else to jump ahead and take him from us.
  3. We probably rank Allen and Rosen at the same level and wont try to move up until one is taken.
  4. If we get through Denver without taking Rosen, no reason we can't keep both firsts and still get Rosen at 6.
  5. Doesn't really make sense yet until you see who goes #1.
  6. Just like Christmas morning, high hopes and unrealistic expectations soon to be crushed by reality!
  7. Trade players not in the long term plans for draft picks, pick up future salary cap space to surround a young QB with help and trade the already established starting QB with no real alternative in house. Yep, we probably aren't positioning ourselves to draft a QB to rebuild with
  8. If Darnold isn't taken #1 I think we pay big to move up to #2 and grab him, if not we will try like hell to move up to take Rosen but teams will likely not trade down that far until at least 5/6. So Darnold #2 or Rosen >5
  9. I'm going to laugh when on draft night the Browns take Allen and we immediately move to #2 to take Darnold for three firsts and a 2nd/3rd
  10. I think everyone's irrational fear of missing out on a QB is blinding everyone into thinking that they are all going to be taken in the top 5 and pushing legitimate top 5 talents into the 6-10 range.
  11. Allen wont even make it to 12 in the real draft so its all moot.
  12. Wouldnt be bad at all to take Allen at 12 and hold all those picks.
  13. It's nothing more than another metric to judge. Just like arm strength and completion percentages don't mean someone will be good or bad, intelligence doesn't have to be high, but you would rather they have it than not.
  14. Or he's waiting us out. Why would he trade out now when the Bills can sweat it out all week and he can possibly leverage himself into a trade down before pick 12 with another team to still grab a top guy while collecting more picks.
  15. In that scenario, you don't screw around. You give what Denver what they need to trade down and secure your QB. It's still far cheaper at that point than getting up to #2.
  16. When you factor in age, contract and what is likely to be available they are probably best off to just keep the pick and add a RB later on a rookie deal.
