Yeah, cause there’s no way to develop talent. all the young guys on the bills are hopeless. Beasley and Brown are going to be too overworked this year.
-
I thought they’d keep him, but I am extremely happy I don’t have to watch him taking multiple losses dancing all over the place hoping to break a big one. He was always a dancer and homerun hitter but with Allen at quarterback I would rather see Gore get 3 and make it 2nd and 7 than McCoy get -3 and seeing 2nd and 13. This was an impactful move on first downs for the majority of the possessions this season

Devin Singletary, welcome to RB1 of the Buffalo Bills

I hope he gets a new # I don’t know why it bothers me so much but it does -
That was really good. Kudos

Enjoy the red shirt year rookie. Smart move if he wasn’t ready but I figured for sure the kid would be ready to make a contribution later in the season.
-
Why? I mean can’t any big athletic guy convert to one of the hardest positions in the NFL? They only need to know every passing route, blocking scheme, catch, block, stay healthy. Sounds super easy.

Shots fired.

Smart. They know his market is next to nothing, and they’ll have a easy shot to bring him back. Gives them kind of a free roster spot to work with until later

Kareem Hunt News, Will be ready for the Bills Game
Rc2catch replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I surely wouldn’t worry about his first game back. I never considered him very deadly, especially after seeing what Damien Williams did after KC cut him. Andy Reid is the master at getting maximum production from the skill positions in the regular season. If hunt has anywhere close to the same success under a different coach I’ll gladly admit i was wrong. As far as this specific game though I would be much more scared of Chubb if he’s still healthy by then -
Predict Bills Cuts That Will Make Other Teams' 53 Man Roster
Rc2catch replied to jwhit34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I see a lot of the guys listed up top sitting home for awhile, they may get a call during the year after injuries ravage some teams but not the initial 53. Especially not when there’s about to be a buffet of talented players hitting the market -

Predict Bills Cuts That Will Make Other Teams' 53 Man Roster

Some of you really really overvalue some of these fringe players. -
Depends on how important he is, if the whole team is rallied around him it’s better to keep one key player who may not produce than piss off 53 guys you need to go out and die for you once a week
-
Maybe we can lure all time fan favorite Brian Moorman out of retirement? He’s the Jim kelly of punters, left shoes so big to fill it can take 20+ years to find a suitable replacement
-
I don’t know what this guy does behind closed doors, but I know he doesn’t do much on the field. I find it strange but he must be one helluva locker room guy or something
-
Great trade for both teams. This tells you buffalo was cutting him, and he has an amazing chance to start in Cleveland. I liked teller but this move makes total sense

You win, that is waaaaay too much work and time consumption for me to dive into to make a point. I stand by my statements while they may have been broad side of a barn kind of statements and you make valid points to pick some of that apart. Well done sir ?

I never said the pass defense wasn’t good. Just that teams didn’t pass as much against them because they ran more. And ran successfully. The pass defense better be good when teams are passing against you less than almost every other team. I posted my opinions on the defense, you posted stats to counter my opinion, and I just told you to look up the stats you missed. Go look up the stats I listed and then come back and tell me the run defense was middling, even though they were next to last in the league in rushing 3rd down first down % Stats are misleading, and can be used to make almost any point. You found some to make yours, I found some to make mine. In the end, the big picture was the 2018 buffalo bills defense was not a top of the league defense. Not a defense to be scared of, and certainly don’t deserve credit from the national media when compared to the super bowl champs.
-
Stats don’t always tell the whole story and can be misleading. Each game flow is different. What are the stats/ranks for the defense in opponents pass attempts per game? Incompletions per game? Completions? How about rushing first downs per game? Passing play %? Rushing play %? All of those stats tell a different story for the defense.
-
The bills defense doesn’t deserve the credit. They played well last year but they were not a top defense. Teams ran all over us. They ranked well against the pass because in the blowouts and some other games the other teams didn’t need to throw, just run the ball and kill clock for multiple quarters. Week one Flacco just abused poor edmunds over and over hitting his tight ends non stop in the middle of the field. We watched the games guys, that was not a top 5 or dominant defense. I expect better this year although I don’t expect the national media to pay any attention to buffalo unless they start like 6-2 or something great
-
I think he specifically picked buffalo for those reasons. He wants a team to feed him the ball. Dak does not read the field well at all. Beasley was always open and dak rarely looked his way. I think Beasley picked buffalo for their lack of playmakers at receiver, a young influential quarterback he can build rapport with, and to be a focal point of the offense. I think Beasley will see the most targets every game. He is just not coverable

The Watkins/Darby trades was a strategy move for the following season. Not sure how that relates to this year. Teams are not stupid, there’s about to be 100’s of players cut to shop from. Cowboys aren’t giving up a pick for shady, you know dang well Zeke will be back at some point. If they have to run Alfred Morris and this pollard kid a couple weeks they will. Zeke has no actual leverage on a contract he’s just wasting money and game checks if he sits into the season. And possibly delaying free agency for himself in 2 years if he really wants it to get ugly. Beane isn’t actively shopping for picks this year, maybe a player but we’re not stockpiling draft picks anymore.
