    You don’t really want guys ‘locked’ into roles right now. You won’t know how this years Hamler or Isabella will look in a starting role without letting them, you know, run with starters. You won’t know if a guy has taken a step without giving them a chance to show you.

    One thing with the new kickoff rule and Zach Davidson, coaches speculate that kickers will be significantly more involved with tackles now, due to rule changes. Davidson is a former Punter and could hold up better to the physicality.

    One positive, one negative. Positive: We know he shows up when pads come on, he’s at his best when physical. Negative: He seems to consistently be running with the second team, let’s see how he looks with first team reps.
