  1. Excellent move- the first of many hopefully
  2. This is a harder question to answer than I thought. Here’s my order: 1. Dallas - because you know the stigma that would come with the game, especially after all this time. Gotta take one of those back... plus it’s the damn Cowboys. 2. New York - Hit a field goal and seal the game with the shot heard round the world. Haus$ gets a statue in Buffalo and the key to the city. On a more serious note: I’m married to a Giants fan and most of my friends are sadly giants fans too. This is the one I probably want more on a personal level just to stick it to them, but I have respect for the Giants after stopping Brady twice. 3. Minnesota - Only other team to dance 4 times and lose. I know it’s cruel, but I’d love to finally get that W against them. Each team would be clawing away at each other and to earn it like that would be very nice. 4. Los Angeles - The Rams are probably the best coached and most talented team in the NFL. To beat them is to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt you had either a better team or better plan of attack.
  3. Does anyone remember how he wouldn’t stop gushing about Johnny Football during that draft? I mean, it was like the second coming of Elway from the way he said his name every 3 minutes. He was legit angry when teams passed on him. i wouldn’t trust him to properly evaluate a QB if my life depended on it. He throws darts at the board and if they ever hit he says “I told you so”. I suppose we will see next year when he can draft one of his own. As for Carr, well, I see him heading to NY or Denver. Maybe even Jacksonville but I think Marrone goes and new coach drafts his own guy. If the Chargers make the Super Bowl and win I think Rivers retires and he could easily head there to own the Raiders twice a year.
  4. I’m in the fight for my life as far as playoffs go- I’ve had Ertz all season doing his thing and always being reliable. Last week he puts up 8 points in my league, and I’m getting a bit nervous with Wentz now out. On my bench I have George Kittle going against the Seahawks, and coming off a 34 point game vs Denver. He only put up 13 2 weeks ago against the Seahawks. Eagles are away in LA, SF is at home. Who would you play?
  5. It’s not like we just lost Tyrod and kept everything the same- we lost 2 very good O-Linemen. One from a freak injury, the other from a mental breakdown. Dawkins stepped up and I don’t miss Glenn all that much because of it. KB was basically a zombie on the field this year, and we asked. Rookie QB who was supposed to sit and learn for a year to make us into contenders. The coach gets a “pass” because we need to jettison bad contracts and need to shore up the offense- there was no way we would do it all within 1 offseason. I admit he needs to manage the clock and stop playing conservative (especially when we aren’t in the playoffs). Let’s see what this D has got and let the offense just do its thing. This season is over- play to see what we have, and don’t worry about the result. This offseason and draft is when we need to get things corrected, and then I think we can fairly evaluate this team.
  6. Urban Meyer is stepping down at Ohio- I can see a phone call or two being made to Green Bay very soon
  7. Well, I think we can all agree that today was a ball breaker. The defense was amazing and likely would have got the job done if the offense could have maintained some form of momentum. It is what it is... but how did it get so bad? You may think it started last year when Sammy was traded, or with Jordan Matthews getting hurt or the KB trade. At the time the moves made sense for us, and I don’t think that’s it. Sammy would still be gone even if we didn’t trade him I believe. It truly started in Jacksonville in January. Tyrod goes down, Nate does exactly what he did today and the game is over. Eric Woods has, unbeknownst to him, played his last game ever. They now have a glaring OL hole (on top of an already suspect right side. Incognito, who has been absolutely great since rejoining the Bills, loses his mind and has an incredibly bad offseason- to the point we grant him his release. Now we have a left tackle and 4 meatbags who are entrusted to protect our QB- who happens to be a Rookie we threw out there before we initially intended. I’m honestly frustrated with Allen but not ready to blame him for it- he is a raw rookie who we knew needed to sit and watch. On top of that, the support around him is lacking severely. Kelvin is disinterested, we have a hodge podge receiving team (with Zak being the only one who is trying to ball out. I really am encouraged by his production this year and I think he’s going to be fine). We have a RB and a left tackle who are safe as far as starting goes, and I don’t honestly think you can bench Allen at this point because he needs to grow and get these lessons learned as soon as possible so that next year we can put some talent around him and see what he’s got. How do we fix it? We need to get talent as far as the WR are concerned, and fast (if we intend to save this season). If anyone’s got feelers out there for trade candidates we need to be on the phone. Amari Cooper, Mohammad Sanu, hell if you could snag Golden Tate from Detroit to light a fire in the offense I’m all for it. Spend a third on whoever and get a sure thing. If KB is really phoning it in, he has to be shipped out. Set the precedent that crap like that isn’t acceptable. Simplify routes and work on getting the run game involved more- we have a great RB group and we are not utilizing their abilities enough. Play to i don’t think we are going to have much luck here and now with the OL. As people start dropping teams are going to preserve anything they have. We wait until FA to get that handled. It sucks, but that’s the reality- we would have to seriously overpay I think to land quality OL help. These guys have to gel for now and hopefully there’s some hope out there for us next year. Barring another unforeseen injury like Woods we need to get the draft set up for the offense. WR priority #1. If we can get a veteran in FA or a trade, the Erik and Zay will likely be competent enough. Whatever we don’t fill on OL before the draft is next. Get a RT or guard. If there’s a good Cebter out there we get him too unless Bodine or Groh get it together. I don’t mind some defense (like a DT or CB) but that can’t take presidence over the Offense. ...Daboll better be able to figure something out soon or I think he doesn’t make it to next season. Even with the lack of talent he needs to find plays and gameplan to what he has to work with.
  8. I’m predicting that if you swapped Allen and Mahomes from each team Allen would look like a superstar and we would be saying “WE REACHED AND HAD THE BEST DRAFT CLASS OF QBS SINCE 2004 A YEAR LATER.” The fact is Reid is a QB coach who can pull hidden potential out of his guys, and the KC offense is currently stacked with playmakers (and one expensive decoy lol). If Patrick was a Bill he’d likely have similar problems we see in Allen. its a bummer watching him ball out right now, but I’m more interested in seeing Allen once he has an O-line and a few WRs who can catch a football on his team. I’m hoping we turn the corner here soon and become the Rams- Goff started slow and they built around him... now he looks great. I get the frustration but Allen has 3 games and no help right now. Let him learn and let’s see what we have.
  9. The Dolphins will find a way to implode on their own. I think Tannehill hits a slump and fatigue hits their players. They’ll be in contention for a Wildcard spot, but it’s still only week 3 and the Jets and Bills have plenty of time to find their identity. The brady bunch needs to get taken down and held down if there’s any chance to keep them from winning the division. They’ve been here before, and angry Tommy likes to make examples out of teams when given the opportunity. They shouldn’t be underestimated. Every time we think maybe age caught up to Brady he seems to respond by de-aging 5 years and making a playoff run. Let’s just wait and see.
  10. Best win since the home game against the Pats where we picked Brady off 4 times and broke the loss streak. Maybe 2011? Fitzy was the WB and I think we won 34 to 31
  11. You can’t turn a Rumble Pony into a Buffalo. (yes, that’s the name our minor league team goes by. If you think that’s bad some of the other options were Timber Jockeys, Gobblers, and Stud Muffins)
  12. Needed to revive a thread from April for this? Weak sauce.
  13. Knew the price would be too much, but it was nice to dream. We have too many other needs right now to trade it all away for one player. I wish him well and am happy we don’t need to see him 2x a year
  14. I don’t know too many punters who have thrown touchdowns and blasted by defenders for first downs (except that one time in the pro bowl). He was a valuable part of our team for a long time. I always liked the guy, and he was damn good at what he did.
  15. With everythinng they gave, I say Kyle, Freddy, and Moorman should be up there. They were mainstays during the drought years. At least we got one to the playoffs
  16. Can we get a reboot of “Hanging with Hamden” too?
  17. Lol Josh must’ve hit on his girl at a bar once or something- dude is a good player but he has way too big a grudge against a rookie. Maybe St Doug is chirping in his ear because he hasn’t burned that bridge long enough. Either way it seems a bit petty. Here’s hoping Allen torches this guy and cooks his crow well done.
  18. What do you think will expire first- the timer on the lock or the beer?
  19. I can’t believe how many people are acting like the sky is falling or preaching doomsday after the kids plays 2 quarters of preseason football with the 3rd string. McDermott and Beane proved last year that they’re not inept at their jobs. Let them develop Allen and sit tight for a while- we’ve been waiting since Bledsoe (or Flutie, or Kelly, whomever you’d like to argue for) for a QB with this set of skills and potential. Jimmy did 3 years in USFL before coming to Buffalo and doing his thing. Let Allen have a season to acclimate to the game. Theres no need to drag him through the mud. Some people act like this kid spent the night with their sister and didn’t call her afterwords... and let it be known I wasn’t pumped at first about him being our guy... but he’s here and he’s gonna do his best. I think we will be pleased with the pick.
  20. Maybe there’s a better angle on the cameras, but from my vantage point it looked alright. If I’m wrong I’ll certainly own it. That being said, I feel TT got thrown under the bus a few times. I actually liked him in spite of some of his shortcomings and I’m not a Peterman apologist. I have no problem calling him out for a lame duck pass- it’s just that from my angle it didn’t look so bad. If it was behind him I hope he learns from this and has a good remaining preseason to prove himself.
  21. Honestly I wish TT the best- he’s not a bad guy and was always a class act while here. He deserves success- as long as it isn’t against us that is. I hope he does well and can improve his game. there is no reason anyone here should wish him unwell or hope he is unsuccessful. Good dude, good teammate, and ultimately we just needed a change. Better for both parties.
  22. Ford definitely hurt his chances last night with the penalties too. The one series just didn’t go his way at all. Was hoping Cadet got in after that but didn’t. I guess next Week we will see
