This season is building towards something special. Real special. Josh and this Bills team have the makings of a happy ending that even Hollywood wishes it could script. A kid who nobody believed in makes his own way in college. Many analysts write him off. He gets drafted to a snake-bitten franchise trying desperately to turn a corner they have barely made it around once in the last 18 years. He is supposed to sit and learn and is forced to play well before he was given the tools to succeed. He comes in and over time has wrestled control of the division away from the team that held them down for so long. He claws for everything and continues to improve and go further into the playoffs before getting handed a humbling loss in KC (not to mention the year before at Houston) He guts it out and works to get back there, knowing that it isn’t enough to get close and go home. You knew watching this video he promised Diggs we were coming back. Here we are. It’s been a year of buildup for this moment. Even if we win, it still won’t be enough for him. Allen is meant to be a champion. the scrappy underdogs the kid who was written off the franchise that never got it done. until now.

Our win earlier this year was revenge for the regular season loss in 2020. Sunday is revenge for the AFCCG. We knew without knowing who we would be playing. We have been preparing for a year for this moment. We know what needs to be done, and we know how to do it. All that’s left is to execute.

The biggest gripe people will have is that nearly 40% of the rushing is done by our QB. He attributed 770 yards out of 2210 total rush yards this year. Situationally it’s fine of course, but our lead rusher Singletary had only 100 more yards than Josh. Honestly i just wish we could execute runs when needed by the guys employed to do so. Devin has looked great this year when he can be consistently used. Moss hasn’t been the same back since his injury last year (something I think people gloss over or forget entirely). Despite his 4.6 YPC, nobody fears Singletary. I’m not sure why he isn’t more heavily involved, but I suspect it may do with his butterfingers he has the previous 2 years. We all know McD hates fumbles. Moss is like Frank Gore was for us… if you need 2 yards, he will get 2 yards. If you need 4 yards, he will get you 2 yards. He won’t fumble though! Breida is there. That’s about it.

The best ability is availability. Barkley hasn’t been available much in the last few years. When healthy, like CMC, he can be a game changer, but both of them are just not durable. I wouldn’t trade anything for them, but if I had to consider it absolutely nothing higher than a 6th if we were desperate to kick the tires. I’d rather give a rookie a chance (even a lower drafted one) rather than an unfortunate known quantity.

As mad as I am about the missed PI, I needed Wilson to score less than 6 fantasy points in my league to make the finals. Between that missed PI and the interception I’m on my way to the finals.
