Definitely seemed like they were trying to find a partner to trade down with how long Beane took to make the pick. They were kind of stuck in no-man's land with the talent on the board so I'm okay with drafting a high ceiling guy at a position of desperate need. I don't feel any worse than I would have if they had taken Harris or Etienne anyway.

Singletary is not good, or at least not good enough. But our Oline is utterly incapable of run blocking which means that any potential new RB would also struggle until that gets fixed, so cutting Singletary is pointless since the cap savings are so small.

Rex's defense is complex and very effective...if you have the perfect personnel for it, i.e., two lockdown corners and rangey DEs and OLBs. But if you have that kind of personnel you can be just as effective running a simpler defense.

Well, Mahomes is going to be sort of gimpy most likely if he even plays, so GB is the best of the three. But TB has our bogeyman at QB and I believe that'll make it psychologically harder to play TB than GB.

Brady didn't start taking discounts until like his 3rd contract, and Gisele is worth way more than he is anyway. The exception proves the rule. Allen will get paid like a top 2 QB and he'll deserve every penny. The NFL chews players up and spits them out without a second thought, players should always get as much money as possible in contract negotiations. That said, teams should be smart enough to not structure it horribly so they hamstring themselves like the Eagles did with Wentz.
