  1. Cook proved he can be the lead back. No need for a vet other than Ty. Get young and fast through the draft
  2. what about that RB, Isaac Guerendo. Lit it up. 4.33 40. 6' 220 lbs
  3. Given the depth of 1st round talent at WR this year, BPA will likely be WR. However, we know Beane never really does BPA, but instead trades up for a guy he likes. Hopefully it's WR, but given the Bills historical emphasis on DL, I wouldn't be surprised if they chase a DT. We're thin behind Jones and Oliver
  4. #2 for a season or two, fills that opposite X role, giving us a vertical threat. Then takes over for Diggs as #1. Samuel and Shakir in the slot. That's a nasty 4 WR set.
  5. some of this was addressed by the Samuel signing. We also need a starting FS still and another DT. We have a lot of draft picks that should make the roster as backups, except we keep signing FAs that will likely outcompete them, resulting in losing many of our draft picks to practice squad signings.
  6. Finally! Glad we didn't totally sit out the first week of higher paid FA starters. Samuel will be a great addition for Allen. Huge upgrade over Harty. Now go get a future #1, X receiver in Rd 1
  7. Man, I'd sure like the Bills to give Allen those kind of weapons
  8. I don't dislike Ty, but did we really need to prioritize a backup RB at this stage in FA, or a backup S (Cam Lewis), or a backup LB/ST (Morrow), or a ST gunner/backup WR (Mack Hollins), or a backup QB (Trubisky) or a FB/backup TE (Morris), or a Punter? We have massive holes in the starting lineup and need to improve our roster with significant talent to keep up/pass the Chiefs, Ravens, etc... yet we're focused on backups. None of these guys are impact players and they can all just as easily be replaced with rookies or signings later closer to training camp. Take their collective salaries (Hollins, $3M, Lewis $4m, Trubisky ..., etc.) and sign a real impact player, before they're all gone. It's not about the RB per se. Its about prioritizing signing backups when we need starters in key areas. Meanwhile the best FAs are quickly disappearing.
  9. I'm getting the sense OBD has no sense of urgency to improve this offseason. Stay the course and hope we're luckier this year won't do it I'm afraid.
  10. Mahomes is clutch, consistently clutch. Allen is not. He's had some good clutch moments, but not as consistently as Mahomes. Allen would probably have won a SB with KC by now, but it wouldn't be as one-sided in the playoffs as it currently is
  11. We can find depth/starting CBs for our zone D in the later rounds. No need to pay big.
  12. He's basically a Gabe replacement, in terms of talent and measurables. Put Mack on the Bills as a rookie with Allen and he probably does a lot better in production. He can block all game and have 0 receptions on 0 targets.
  13. he had a high ceiling coming out of college and always looked like next year he'd break out. Never really did, but could with Josh....
  14. Exactly. We need at least 4 quality WRs for depth and to plan for Stephs eventual demise. We also run enough 4 WR sets or have sub packages to give guys a rest, etc... It's no coincidence one of Allen's best passing seasons was with Steph, Beasley, Sanders and Davis. All brought different, complementary skills to attack the defense at multiple levels
  15. Bills need to sign a FA WR - Samuel, Ridley - to upgrade from Harty, then get a top WR with rd 1 pick. Josh needs more weapons and Offense needs more speed to be able to attack defenses downfield
  16. Hoping we re-sign Daquan Jones and/or Epenesa before Monday. Then on Monday, target: Geno Stone Mooney or Samuel
  17. Why is that? Seems every media outlet has a suggested Diggs trade
  18. Could we swap Evans for Diggs? Trade Diggs to someone to get out from under his salary and sign Evans to a more team-friendly deal.
  19. Still a need a short yardage guy. I wonder if Damien Harris is cleared to return. Or we just go full tush push, but I don't really like Josh taking those hits and I think he's a little to tall to do it effectively when the D knows its coming.
  20. Agree, which is why I think Beane's strategy of keeping the window open as long as possible is valid. Reid will eventually retire and hopefully we'll still be competitive then.
  21. Not likely to get any better in the near future either. Brady will be outmatched by Spags. McD/Babich by Reid. We will have to win with an abundance of superior talent.
  22. We need the WR depth anyways, even if the rookie shines. Sheffield and Davis are FAs. Harty will probably be cut (we overpaid him anyways) We can get a decent vet WR for $3-5m for a 1 year contract. Last year Brown was $2.6m. Chark was $5m. Agholor was $3.25. Crowder was $1.3. You can go multiple years and spread it out. Cap won't be a problem for depth signings.
  23. We need a vet WR addition, to go along with the rookie 1st rounder. Someone that can help with production as the rookie inevitably gets caught up. I mean I'd love a guy like Ridley, in addition to a rookie, but more likely we get a guy like Noah Brown, Chark or Bourne.
  24. Should probably re-sign AJ and let him start on the right side, Groot on the left side and Von rotating in for passing downs with all $120M of his albatross contract. Re-sign Shaq for the rotation. I like re-signing Daquan and adding some cheaper FAs and Day 2 DT Is Hyde gone for sure? The QB role of him an Poyer in the back of the D will be hard to replace immediately. We should draft a mid-round S to learn from him.
