  1. Not mad about moving on from Diggs, except we didn't really do so. We replaced Davis with Keon and Diggs with.... no one. Hoping Josh can raise the level of others around him.
  2. They actually play slightly different positions - Knox and Kincaid. Knox plays on the line and Kincaid plays the move TE role. They could actually be co-starters.
  3. We're going to play alot shallow concepts - either RB, TE or WR. I like the MVS signing in that he's a proven outside guy that can at least be a threat to keep Defenses from attacking the short zones on every play. We will need some diversity in route trees, getting depth on each play, in order to allow the under stuff to thrive. Keon might bring some of that, but we'll need a faster outside WR to step up too, either Hamler, Hollins, Claypool, or MVS. It's still not inspiring a lot of confidence, but the MVS signing gives me a little more hope.
  4. Diggs not being Diggs at the end of last year is as much Brady as anyone else. He also consistently drew the best CBs or double teams, leaving options open for Shakir and others. Despite that all he still had over 100 catches and 1100 yds, only 3rd most catches in a season by a Bills WR ever. We will miss him. We needed an upgrade from Davis, but it ain't MVS
  5. Bills made a conscious decision to not prioritize WR this offseason. We'll see if it works. Coleman does not = Diggs MVS does not = Davis Samuel is the only upgrade, over Harty Hollins = Sherfield They're definitely going for the committee approach. But I'm worried the threat of the explosive play, big chunk (15+ yds) is pretty much absent, meaning D's will stack the box making it harder to run and do much with the short passing game. It will be interesting to see how it pans out.
  6. Agree. He adds an element outside that wasn't there before he signed. Not a #1 or even a #2, but can keep Defenses honest
  7. Agree. Something was off with Bass last year. And I don't know how easily a kicker regains his confidence. McD seemed to lose confidence in him as the year went along - rarely going for 50+yds - and it culminated with that final kick. They once said Haack was the best holder in the game, maybe Martin isn't (with Haack holding in 2021, Bills' kicker Tyler Bass posted a career-best 87.5 success rate on field goals and made all 51 extra-point attempts.). So I guess by bringing Haack back to compete, they're trying to address that issue. I don't know, Bass should be a little more resilient. If the Bills are going to play a plodding, ball control style of offense they absolutely need an automatic kicker. They can't chew up 8 mins of the clock and then shank a FG. There is absolutely no room for error with that style of O and there is really no room for error in the playoffs either against quality teams. Your kicker can be the difference between losing in the division round every year to bringing home a few Lombardis. Just ask Tom Brady
  8. Boyd is more of a slot guy. We've already got like 5 of those
  9. Ty Johnson on KOs Shakir on punts....
  10. Fitz all the way. Diggs was most productive. Reich was around the longest, but Fitz is and will always be a fan favorite and a guy who LOVES Buffalo and will tell everyone so. His legend has only grown since he left.
  11. I think Allen can do some of that, but he's not Brady or Rodgers. Even Brady has Randy Moss, Gronk, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, etc... guys that were all-pros without Brady. Allen needs guys that can actually catch his rockets and because of his arm he can hit passes that Brady could never have made, opening up different areas of the field, especially downfield. But with Joe Brady's dink and dunk offense and Beane's decision to not get speedier WRs, we're wasting one of Allen's talent of attacking downfield
  12. It's a good point, but I think that's why most swallowed the Diggs trade as necessary medicine. But to not double-down in the draft with such available talent, have many scratching their heads
  13. You guys are delusional Hamler will be on IR all season Samuel is a McKenzie/Harty+. He'll be great, if used right Isabella is PS Shakir is a short-area slot Claypool won't make the team We didn't replace Diggs or Davis combination of speed/hands/routes/size. Coleman is the closest to replacing Davis, but not really on downfield stuff
  14. I think they're releasing one game of the schedule per night, via a primetime broadcast. We'll know the full schedule by August
  15. guys with checkered pasts ....who suck. Claypool and Ophelius (what ever his name is, former Det WR). I'll take a checkered past if he's solid. Like when Calvin Ridley was available for a trade and Jax got him
  16. You really think Beane was ever going to sign Chark or OBJ? We've seen how much he loves bargain bin shopping for WRs. Claypool and Mack Hollins are this year's Sheffield and Harty.
  17. Hopefully more TDs is the big "?" drive the entire field and stall in the red zone and miss a FG. no opportunities on the roster for quick strikes makes the margin of error small
  18. Well we missed out on both. But good thing we got Chase Claypool!!
  19. But they just signed OBJ instead. So we're taking their leftovers? And you can't say Claypool is high character.
  20. They've told OBJ don't sign anywhere b/c we'll come get him June 1. ...maybe....
  21. Remember during the Kelly years when Rich Stadium wouldn't sell out and local TV was blacked out? I don't think that will happen again, but used to back then (stadium was 80k+ as well) Fans get used to success and want more. Think a lot are getting anxious about the plan to get us past the Chiefs and the divisional round. Mahomes and Burrow aren't going away anytime soon and either we learn to hit them in the mouth or we out score them. Right now, I can't tell what the plan is.
  22. Looked up Hamler's injury history. Man, this guy is the definition of injury-plagued. Chronic hamstring strains - didn't even run at the combine or his pro day; two ACL tears on same knee; hip injury; and then was out all last year with a heart condition. Poor guy. Foolish if Beane is thinking anything other than a flyer Even when healthy, he had problems with drops and isn't great at tracking the ball
  23. Dude has yet to play a snap in the NFL, or catch balls from Allen. Sorry, you're deluded.
  24. It's really hard to imagine us not adding an outside WR post-June 1 The Beane smokescreen about liking Shorter and Shavers (I couldn't even remember who he was), is just that, classic Beane white lie. We need a proven outside WR vet, at the very least to show the ropes to Coleman and offer some depth.
  25. We got Von to try and apply pressure to beat Mahomes. It's just not that simple. He's too good. This last try, it was Kelce catching all over us, Pacheco running all over us, and the D letting KC score 27. Hopefully the D will be more stout with less LB injuries this year. But it was also our inability to close it out in the clutch. Part of that, imho, was a lack of potency in the passing game. We couldn't get that critical TD when we needed it. Josh threw 39 times and only got 186 yds. As much as Josh can still do it, we need to start to find alternatives to his playmaking with his legs. It makes up for, and even masks, other deficiencies. He was our leading rusher that game. How many times has he bailed out our lack of a real system or plan, with some crazy individual feat? He won't be able to keep up his whole career.
