2 first round picks and 2 second round picks on the DL and we're 43rd in win rate? That's not alarming!

Singletary or Hines or neither?
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
I see us letting Singletary walk and drafting a 4th-5th round lead type back, a guy like Kendre Miller TCU or Sean Tucker of Syracuse. Drafting Cook in the 2nd round makes me believe he's going to be the man and Hines has years on his deal and will be cheaper than Singletary. Although I like Singletary he doesn't get the carries that would justify the contract he'll be getting/wanting imo but I really liked him when he was called upon. -
We have a great #2 WR in Dawson Knox, it was unfortunate that his brother passed away but this guy imo can be another Travis Kelce when his head is back in the game. Towards the end of the season he started showing his dominance but the fact that they needed him to block more and the situation with his brother took away a solid option for us. Get this man a bunch of dedicated plays to get him open.

Mel Kiper is back and you won’t like it
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm a fan of Mel Kiper Jr., my father used to do light scouting back in the day on college players back in the early to late 80's . He used to get Mel Kiper's books of all the college players. If you actually read the books he doesn't project who a team should take or what holes they have he picks based on value, both value of the player to the value of where you're actually picking. All the major college players are ranked by coaching staffs and draft gurus, that's why so many so called gurus/experts don't get the picks right. Most gurus don't have the same rankings at all compared to the actual coaching staffs/scouts etc. so when Mel Kiper put we need a pass rusher it's because the value of the player fits the value of the pick but it could be totally different now since I haven't read anything from him since the 90's. -

I seriously doubt they'll get rid of Dorsey since Allen put up about the exact same stats when Daboll was here not that I agree with it but for those hoping for a new OC may be disappointed. If he stays OC (I believe he will) then I hope he gets more creative with screens to RB's and also incorporate TE Dawson Know alot more, this guy should be on Travis Kelce type of level but his brother passing away clearly had an affect on him and understandably so. Lets hope for bigger things in 2023-2024

The Bills have a Tre White problem
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to Back2Buff's topic in The Stadium Wall
What are you going on about? Mac Jones had 195 yards and 1 TD in the 1st meeting, 2nd meeting Mac Jones threw for 243 yards 3 TD and 3 INT (Tre White had an INT in this game) . If you're going to trash someone at least do a little homework first. -

Do you still trust the defense at all?
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to Sharky7337's topic in The Stadium Wall
This just isn't true, the notion that you don't need a good to great defense is just false. Patrick Mahomes lost because of that swarming TB defense. Joe Burrow was harassed all game by the Rams and got 7 sacks on Burrow but it was a close game because the Bengals defense was very good also getting 2 INT and 2 sacks on Stafford. Even the SB where Mahomes played the 49ers he had lots of trouble for most of the game, it was 20-10 49ers until the 4th QTR. Rams vs Patriots was an all defensive game as well. -
The misuse of Cook and Hines was borderline criminal

Can't agree more, scary thing is that we know this as fans how doesn't the OC? -
The misuse of Cook and Hines was borderline criminal
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is why when people say they haven't given Allen enough weapons, it's just not true, look around the league and you'll see teams would love to have Diggs/Knox/Davis/Cook/Hines/Shakir/Beasley, I just don't think Dorsey utilized them at all. There should have been so many designed plays for Cook/Hines and Knox but there wasn't much creativity imo. He gets a pass I guess for being new at this but I really hope there is alot more creativity if they keep him. -
He's been mentioned I think the past 2 years as a DC candidate for a bunch of different teams, I'm not sure if he interviews well or not but he's an up and comer for sure. I find it hard to believe he can't implement a version of McDermott's defense.

I really like Greg Williams CB coach of the Arizona Cardinals, He has done a great job with very little to work with in the secondary so he should have no trouble with our group imo.

Aaron Rodgers to the Jets for 2 first round picks?
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to Lost's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Jets would be roughly 44 million over the cap with this move so I'd 100% be for this, yeah there are ways of manipulating it like we've done but they'd most definitely be cutting at least 2 of their top players like Mosley. -
Beane End of Year Presser
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to thenorthremembers's topic in The Stadium Wall
Unfortunately it doesn't matter what he says or what questions he answers, unless we win the SB this is the fate of a solid franchise. You can call McDermott and Beane trash all you want but they've put this franchise in an awesome spot and like Von Miller stated "it's really hard to win in this league" , only 1 team can win the SB. Many want Sean Payton, he's only won 1 SB with soon to be HOF QB Drew Brees, the great Don Shula won 0 SB with 1 of the greatest QB's I've ever seen in Dan Marino. I'm making no excuses for this team, they should be a SB contender every year and they are, it's unfortunate we haven't won it yet, I still have faith in this group, it's no doubt running thin and some quite possibly might get their wish if we lose again next year but like everything the grass isn't always greener. -
So we're cutting our most reliable OL in Mitch Morse, replacing Saffold with a mediocre G, replacing Morse with a rookie C, and adding a rookie RT, so 2 rookies and a mediocre G is the plan to fix the OL? That's definitely not good enough. They are going to have to be creative unless they want another Andrew Luck situation in Buffalo with Allen.

So you're saying the talent at the top of the draft is as good as the bottom? -
2023 Offseason Primer: Offensive Line
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's hard to find top end talent when you're picking at the bottom of the rounds, hard enough at the top of the rounds.
