2023 Offseason Primer: Offensive Line
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can't hate on any of those moves but it might be tough to sign all 3 OL when we still have Edmunds to re-sign , he is going to be at least 14M a season or more if we decide to keep him. Also we have to evaluate Tre White, has he lost a step or was it just rust from missing a year? He was slow and grabbed on almost every single play and was terrible in the Bengals game. Can he take Poyer's spot at S? Or do we have to wait until 2025 to rid ourselves of that contract if he's not the same player? I think this would definitely help the OL with those 3 players but to think all 3 would come here is also a stretch imo. -
I agree somewhat to what Simms is saying but take the 3 teams Simms is mentioning here.... The Bengals, Eagles and 49ers, all 3 of these teams have QB's on rookie contracts, when Burrow, Hurts and either Purdy or Lance reup the contract they'll also be making big decisions. We should have more talent around Josh and on defense but that's what happens when you don't draft well or is it on coaching? Yes Leslie Frazier runs a version of Sean McDermott's defense but another DC may have a much better version that allows us to get to the QB better, we can't just keep doing the same things and expecting different results. I don't know if Dorsey's offense is good enough for where we want to be but it's hard to tell in just 1 season.

How many chances will McDermott get?
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to Awwufelloff's topic in The Stadium Wall
Are you sure you want to pick a new HC, our last 4 before McDermott were Rex Ryan, Doug Marrone, Chan Gailey and Dick Jauron. Are you positive this is what you want? Who other than Sean Payton would you like as HC here? Payton doesn't make sense for us, giving up a 1st or multiple 1sts for a HC when we need OL to protect Josh Allen doesn't make much sense imo so who else would be your choice. -
The Bengals opening drive

I'm a huge "It's not how you start , it's how you finish" guy and the team did not start or finish. You will never win a game if you can't start or finish no matter what sport. -
Gregory Rousseau is becoming elite
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
3 sacks and a forced fumble. -
Rodgers- 1 SB ring Brees- 1 SB ring Wilson- 1 SB ring Favre- 1 SB ring Stafford- 1 SB ring Marino- 0 SB rings Kelly- 0SB rings It's very difficult to go to a SB yet win it multiple times. There are some big names who only have 1 or never won any, I'll start with even 1 I'm not greedy!

McDermott and Beane Have to Go

Other than Sean Payton who is now everyones shiny new toy who is the HC you want to replace him with? -
Gregory Rousseau is becoming elite
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
I never recall calling Rousseau elite but I think he's turning into a really solid pass rusher for us, it's unfortunate he didn't show up today when we needed him but he isn't a bum like Epenesa that's for sure. -
I totally disagree with this take of yours and you can go back to the last few SB's for actual proof. It was the defense of the Rams that won that SB last year, 7 sacks and were in Burrows face all game long. The Bengals defense were also really good with 2 sacks, 2 INT and that's why the game was so close. How about the Bucs vs Chiefs SB? 3 sacks, 2 INT, 0 TD passes or rushing TD and they harassed Mahomes the entire game. Brady only threw for 201 yards yards that game. To think we can just let the defense ***** the bed and hope to win a SB like that is stupid. Make smart moves in FA like another Lorax pickup or something like that because there is no way we can afford to re-sign everyone.

We are in HC purgatory
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
You do know that Tomlin has a SB ring and no losing season in 18 years correct? What HC is coming in and beating that? -
We have Singletary who can catch, Cook who can take any pass to the house and Hines who is noted for his catching ability. There is no reason why we don't try more RB screen plays to use these players to our advantage.

Man I wish we would do more RB screens, that would be a thing of beauty once in awhile.

AP Coach of the Year <Poll>
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall
I went with Dan Campbell, what he did with the Lions this season is nothing short of a miracle with Jared Goff as his QB, the team played hard against almost every team they played. -
Mitch Morse, Defender of Honor

We can't him losing consciousness anymore. -
How confident are you the Bills beat the Bengals?
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
100%, not even a doubt we will win. People/fans are really underselling our defense, it gives up plays but also gets a bunch of pressure, 4 sacks, 2 INT last game against a division opponent that wouldn't go down without a fight but guess what we won yet another close game that we were told we can't win close games. The Bengals won on a miracle fumble, Joe Burrow only had 209 passing yards 1 TD and 1 rushing TD, the best WR Jamarr Chase had 9 REC, 84 yards, 1 TD. They are very beatable and we now know the blue print, run on them or pass on them since they are giving up yards in the air and on the ground. 226 passing yards 2 TD from Huntley and over 150 yards total rushing. They are definitely beatable and the defense of the Bengals had 1 INT, 2 sacks and a FR for a TD, other than that miracle fumble the team as a whole didn't play all that great imo and yes another tough division opponent for them also. -
That sucks, I want to beat these guys fair and square. Not sure why many are afraid of this game, these are the games that put you on another level like the Chiefs, to be the best you have to beat the best and no doubt were going to slay the kitty cats this weekend, no doubts whatsoever.

I don't think his arm looked dead I think his OL was letting him get killed. It was almost a free runner coming at him every pass play and that was before the game was out of hand. That is the blueprint to beating a high flying offense, get to the QB. All of Brady's SB losses were to to the pressure he received, same with mahomes against the Bucs, they dominated the Chiefs OL and what did the Chiefs do? Went out and revamped the OL which is exactly what we should do at the end of this season.
