Isaac Seumalo, G, **Update - Signed by Steelers

PFF final ratings for last season out of 74 qualified Gs. Whether you think PFF ratings are worth anything or not; the top ten names are all really good players and the bottom 10 are not. -
Interesting. 13th in pass blocking and 64th overall? He must be the worst run blocker in the entire NFL if that is true. What was Seumalo's pass block rank? From PFF last season BETTER PASS PRO THAN RUN BLOCKERS ANDREW NORWELL, WASHINGTON COMMANDERS ISAAC SEUMALO, PHILADELPHIA EAGLES KEVIN DOTSON, PITTSBURGH STEELERS JUSTIN PUGH, ARIZONA CARDINALS DALTON RISNER, DENVER BRONCOS Evidently Seumalo is also a better pass blocker than run blocker, and he's 10th overall compared to 64th for McGov, which means he is also a very good run blocker. Spin it any way you want, the Bills overpaid and missed out on a much more talented lineman. Last year a bunch of folks got excited about Rodger Saffold. I wasn't one of them. I said he sucked, and he did. The ***** line needs talent. Once again it looks like plug in some crap and hope for the best. Unbelievable to me that Allen is on his second contract and they still haven't given him a decent line. That should have been the first priority imo.

Seumalo 10th out of 74 G McGovern 64th out of 74 G Similar money, Beane really nailed that one. Good thing he overpaid for crap instead of waiting for better. He might have missed out on McGoverns talent. Kind of like if he had drafted the leagues best center Creed Humphrey he would have missed out on Basham's talent.(Beanes comment after the draft. He took DEs in rounds 1 and 2 because he just couldn't pass up Basham's talent). -

McGovern sucks and the Bills obviously have no idea how to evaluate offensive line talent. They think they're upgrading Saffold with McGovern? and paid about the same as Seumalo got? That's ***** laughable, what a wizard indeed. -
McGovern was rated 64th out of 77 Guards last season, great pickup. If there's one thing Beane is a wizard at its finding offensive line talent. Let's all get behind the new starting guard and pretend he is going to be good all offseason. When it turns out he sucks we can attribute it to the need for continuity and time required to gel.

Never heard of him, is he any good?

The Chiefs oline rebuild was complete when they drafted Creed Humphrey in the 2nd round of the draft 2 years ago, he has been the best center in the league since entering imo. They got him the very pick after the Bills took Basham. So not only did the Bills pass on an elite talent at a position of great need, they handed him to their main rival who really needed him to complete their line. An incredible rebuild in one offseason with Beane handing them the crown jewel. I turned the draft off after that, I was so disgusted and so convinced that Humphrey was going to be really good. I couldnt believe he fell to the Bills and then i couldnt believe they passed on him for another DE. Two years later and the Bills line is still terrible. Cmon. Get Better Beane

Final Pro Football Focus Oline Season Grades

For the 2nd year in a row, after only two years in the league, the Chiefs' Creed Humphrey is the #1 rated center. You may remember that even though the interior line was a huge need at the time, Beane decided to pass on Humphrey and draft a 2nd consecutive DE Basham. The Chiefs had the next pick and were not so stupid.- 105 replies

Old Buffalo Bills Message Board

Yes Who could ever forget Dunkirk Don and his high level meetings? We were treated as lower caste, diseased sociopaths when we got here and now look at us today! -
I’m over this defensive scheme. Bring in a new DC.

Straight up embarrassing how limp the defense was I remember after the 13 secs debacle last year; realizing nobody was gonna offer Frasier a HC gig after that freakin disaster felt like another disaster in itself. Bills were outcoached on both sides and at the top by a country mile. The Bills coaches were like amateurs -
Ed Oliver wrecks their interior line this weekend Burrow can't step up and is buried by the rush 5+ times

I thought it was an egregious no call but I really didn't care who won. The Bills just have to win the next game they play each week. Let the Fate decide the rest. We think one path is better but maybe that isn't so. Hopefully they will call a fair game on Sunday.

No question, that was an obviously illegal block in the back that was just simply not called. It is hard to believe that no official saw that. The whole world saw it plain as day. As soon as I noticed Andrews was going to catch him he was shoved in the back. I saw it clearly in real time because I was looking right at Andrews who was flying compared to the runner.

I can just as easily see them losing to the Jags tomorrow, I'm almost expecting it. -
Chargers - Mike Williams and Joey Bosa hurt in meaningless game
Turk71 replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Chargers coach defending playing his starters in a completely meaningless game, Mike Williams fractured his back and is out, Bosa also injured. Chargers coach Brandon Staley on Thursday defended his decision to play his starters against the Broncos. "It's difficult to decide who plays and who doesn't and who is more valuable than the rest," Staley said. "What you are trying to do is set a standard for your program about how you do things. That is what I believe in, and I didn't want anybody to get hurt in [the game], regardless of their status, because everybody is important." There are different schools of thought on resting players in meaningless games ... but saying it is difficult deciding who is more valuable to your team? He should have asked me, I could have easily told him that. What a moron. -
I know the first 2 games were real close... but this time I think the Bills will crush these guys and not let up. I fully expect the whole team to be fired up, laser focused, executing their plan, taking care of the ball, and scoring a lot of points. The D, along with the game script will force the Dolphins to throw and the rout will be on. Skylab Thompson will crash and burn. Like a dam bursting, the Dolphins will be overwhelmed and steamrolled. This is what I visualize and what I believe will happen. Let's Go BUFF A LO !! !!!
