  1. I am glad he is gone. I hate the soft nonaggressive defense. A good QB makes it the Death of a Thousand cuts, so frustrating to watch. I'd rather be aggressive and get beat down the field once in a while than watch that garbage. With such a potent offense the Bills focus on D should be getting off the field. Get after them, create turnovers, get off the ***** field. No more 8 minute drives while Josh is waiting on the sideline. The downside is sometimes they break a play and now the ball is back in Josh Allen's hands. I'll take that tradeoff anyday. Strictly from an entertainment perspective there is no comparison, soft d and long drives with Allen off the field is unbearable. Compare watching that to watching an aggressive defense and more Allen possessions. There is no guarantee that is what we will get but I know I have seen enough of Frazier's defense that I welcome whatever comes next.
  2. Grew up in S Buffalo 6th out of 7 w 4 brothers My dad finished our basement in '64, put in a small bar and a big rec/tv room. My dad, my brothers and I, and various assortments of grandpas, uncles, cousins, and friends would gather on Sundays for the football on a big b/w console tv. It would get so rowdy down there, my family really likes to laugh and it would get pretty hilarious. I was the 4 year old beer runner. The grandparents, parents, uncles and aunts have all passed on, as well as 2 of my brothers. Hearing that Jim Brown passed brought me immediately back to those basement gatherings that I hadn't thought about for a long time. It feels good to remember them ❤️ RIP
  3. RIP Jim Brown Before the merger the Browns were the favorite NFL team in my family. Jim Brown, Leroy Kelly and Paul Warfield were my favorites Had his poster on my wall Loved seeing him in the Dirty Dozen at the theater as a kid.
  4. I could be in the minority but I am not expecting Rodgers to be that great this year for the Jets. I think the honeymoon wears off quickly, starting with getting badly beaten in their season opening primetime home game vs the Bills. Their reconstructed oline will need to gel quickly. They were terrible last year and I dont expect them to be very good starting the season.
  5. Murray faced a higher % stacked boxes than any rb w over 150 carries in the NFL last year, and still ran for 171 carries 760 yds 6 tds 4.5yds/carry. He didnt look washed up at all. No idea how it will shake out but I thought he looked good whenever I saw him. Maybe they just stash him for insurance.
  6. I didnt realize he ran 4.38 at his pro day. I know it was years ago but that is pretty incredible for his size. His 3 cone time was amazing as well. https://nflcombineresults.com/playerpage.php?f=Latavius&l=Murray&i=28913
  7. 171 carries last season for 745 yards avg 4.5, ranked 8th out of 60 qualified backs on PFF. Wanted to play for Buffalo for chance at the SB He is not just a camp body, he will be on the field.
  8. I like this pickup. I thought Murray played really well platooning in Denver last year. Really liked the Harris pickup too, Bills backfield is now fully stacked
  9. Shorter was the top ranked wr in 2018 college recruiting class that included Amon Ra, Waddle, and Chase; so the potential is definitely there. Penn St was a bad fit and it seems he was much improved his last seasons at Fla. I hope he is a diamond in the rough and contributes immediately
  10. Bills should have already snagged Vorhees He will be a good starter in a year or 2
  11. I think he will be a great weapon if they use him. That said, a 1st and a 4th for a TE when you just signed your underutilized mediocre te to a huge contract? This makes that ridiculous contract they gave Knox look even worse.
  12. Build a decent ***** line you idiots. These guys are unbelievable. No running game.....get a new running back Not enough time to throw......need new receivers who can get open
  13. Yes, there are not enough top ten guys at each position for every team to have one. There are only ten. Every team is assembling and developing talent from the same pool. Yet somehow it seems every year ~2/3rds of NFL teams have a better line than the Bills. Either the Bills don't value the position group as much or they're not as good at evaluating and developing the talent available. Probably a combination of the 2 imo.
  14. I sincerely hope you are right and I am wrong.
  15. Time will tell I think he is and will be the far better player He probably started out asking for a lot and settled for less My point is that the Bills weren't aiming that high and overpaid instead of getting the bargain on the better player. The line needs more talent, plain and simple; not more let's bring in some jags and hope for the best.
  16. Seumalo was that guy Highly rated at both pass pro and run blocking by numerous analysts, a proven commodity The Bills are paying McGovern more cash up front and the same 8mil per for 3 years Bills will also have a higher dead cap hit (6mil) if they let him go after a year. Seumalo should have been the target but the word is that McGovern was their target all along. Judging by the offensive line additions the last few years that does not surprise me.
  17. He can sub for McGovern on running plays 🤣
  18. PFF final ratings for last season out of 74 qualified Gs. Whether you think PFF ratings are worth anything or not; the top ten names are all really good players and the bottom 10 are not.
  19. Interesting. 13th in pass blocking and 64th overall? He must be the worst run blocker in the entire NFL if that is true. What was Seumalo's pass block rank? From PFF last season BETTER PASS PRO THAN RUN BLOCKERS ANDREW NORWELL, WASHINGTON COMMANDERS ISAAC SEUMALO, PHILADELPHIA EAGLES KEVIN DOTSON, PITTSBURGH STEELERS JUSTIN PUGH, ARIZONA CARDINALS DALTON RISNER, DENVER BRONCOS Evidently Seumalo is also a better pass blocker than run blocker, and he's 10th overall compared to 64th for McGov, which means he is also a very good run blocker. Spin it any way you want, the Bills overpaid and missed out on a much more talented lineman. Last year a bunch of folks got excited about Rodger Saffold. I wasn't one of them. I said he sucked, and he did. The ***** line needs talent. Once again it looks like plug in some crap and hope for the best. Unbelievable to me that Allen is on his second contract and they still haven't given him a decent line. That should have been the first priority imo.
  20. Seumalo 10th out of 74 G McGovern 64th out of 74 G Similar money, Beane really nailed that one. Good thing he overpaid for crap instead of waiting for better. He might have missed out on McGoverns talent. Kind of like if he had drafted the leagues best center Creed Humphrey he would have missed out on Basham's talent.(Beanes comment after the draft. He took DEs in rounds 1 and 2 because he just couldn't pass up Basham's talent).
  21. McGovern sucks and the Bills obviously have no idea how to evaluate offensive line talent. They think they're upgrading Saffold with McGovern? and paid about the same as Seumalo got? That's ***** laughable, what a wizard indeed.
