Well... they have the same record, the same number of TDs, the same number of turnovers, but Allen has more yards. On top of that Stafford is throwing to another MVP candidate in Kupp, while Allen is not. That probably hurts Stafford the slightest bit... unless he loses Kupp for a game or 2 and does what Rodgers just did without Adams. So... Allen

Diggs #'s way down - Is this an issue
transplantbillsfan replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
Diggs is still on pace for 1,200 yards. I'm just not concerned. the team is still winning convincingly. We just have room for improvement... and that's a good thing. -
How can that not be an angry run nominee? He has to break 3 tackles. And they were all tackles that should have happened. The one guy hanging onto his waste should have had him and then the 2 guys in front of him should have had him. Allen is just a special angry beast.

Over the last few days we've had 2 of the biggest MVP candidates talked about in this thread essentially exit the conversation. Kyler Murray has an ankle injury that's going to keep him out 1-3 weeks. Still possible for him, but I don't even think he would be a favorite over Allen pre-injury. Henry--unfortunately for all real football fans--is done for weeks and potentially the season. Such a shame.

Brady just sealed a loss throwing a pick 6 today. He's played 1 more game than Allen so he has a handful more TDs but also a handful more Turnovers. Stafford? Really? Yeah... he's definitely in the MVP conversation, but he wouldn't be so far ahead of Allen, if at all. He's played 1 more game and has 2 more TDs and the same number of Turnovers. And they average about the same amount of yards per game. And Murray is about to exit the MVP conversation because he's gonna miss 1-3 games with an ankle injury. And besides, he's also played 1 more game than Allen, has the same number of TDs and a handful more Turnovers. This is not going well for you.

Anyone else wonder why we bother running the ball sometimes? Solid game by Josh. It seemed clear our OL was a lesser version of itself without Brown at RT. Sloppy 1st half but the team looked much stronger in the 2nd. Love the focus on getting Beasley the ball. Anyone else impressed that for what appeared to be an average game for Allen still had him with over 300 total yards, 3 TDs and 0 turnovers?

Mahomes vs Allen - The Long Term Knight

I've made my case. Argue with people in the NFL or who make their living working with them and studying them: -
Mahomes vs Allen - The Long Term Knight

Ummmm... are you being serious? I said Allen is the most physically gifted QB in the NFL and possibly NFL history. Natural gifts broadens the scope too much to intangibles like mental makeup, leadership, competitiveness and instincts--though I'd say Allen is in the upper echelon of 3/4 of those... to me it's his instincts that could hold him back. I'm going to repeat the physical traits that Allen has that really can't be taught: Size... and I'm talking height and body frame combined. Herbert and Lawrence might be taller, but they don't have Allen’s thick frame. That matters for obvious reasons including injury risk and diffdifficulty to tackle. Strength... Herbert and Lawrence aren't as strong as Allen. No QB in the NFL is as strong as him from toes to shoulders. Also matters for obvious reasons like shedding tacklers, which we've seen Allen do over and over. Speed... Lamar and Kyler are faster, but they don't compare to Allen in other categories. It's pretty obvious to anyone watching Allen that he has unique speed especially for a man his size. Athleticism... I said elusiveness before, but even that should fall under the category of athleticism. And I say that because of the hurdling of defenders we've seen from Allen. He’s also twitchy and elusive for a guy his size. Arm Strength... obviously unique to a QB so a separate category from Strength in general. The only QBs comparable in terms of arm strength to Allen would be Mahomes and Rodgers. So yes, Allen is more physically gifted than Herbert and Lawrence. I agree. -

Allen is a combination of size, speed, elusiveness and arm strength that you simply can't teach. Those are what you call "traits" because you really don't get noticeably better at them. What you mentioned that he lacks is touch. That can be taught. Greg Cosell has called Allen the most physically gifted QB in the NFL on multiple occasions. -

Allen might be the most physically gifted QB to ever play the position. He also has a farm boy work ethic and has been overlooked as a QB most of his life. Mahomes is great. I believe Allen will be greater. Give me Allen. -
Emanuel Sanders - is What Was Lost Worth the Gain ?

Wait... what? Beasley was our #3 WR last year and he's our #3 WR this year. The difference is that we've had a Tight End who's been exceptional so far this year... Get healthy Knox!!! -
Hmmm... this was a pretty useless post. I see he's #10. Was that supposed to debunk something I said? If so, do you have a medical problem where you can't see zeros and you actually thought he was #1? I wonder if you actually read that post. Also, based on these pretty useless posts, I think it's important for you to go see a therapist regarding your severe insecurity over your online persona.

Oh I see... you're trying desperately to win an argument of semantics by not considering the need to immediately run the play as opposed to calling a timeout and giving the D time to prepare. The whole point is catching the D off guard when running those QB sneaks and running the play right away. That's how Brady has always done it.
