  1. Oh, so when you said "so close to Peterman starting Week One!!!!!" you were saying that because you actually thought Peterman almost won the #1 job and you weren't mourning the almost injury that kept Taylor out? My bad... football is 10 hours away!!!
  2. At least you set up your excuse if Taylor has really good games to start the season. So tell us, what's your watermark for it no longer being a "gimmick?" If Taylor is playing well, by which game will you concede that he deserves credit? Game four? Five? Which one? because I think it's pretty obvious to everyone what your argument will be if Taylor plays well this week and or next week and or the week after that.
  3. As much as people want to dog on the talent of this team, I don't think the precipitous drop really happened that everyone says happened. LOL is the same or maybe better with Dawkins. TE is the same or better with Thomas. RB is just gonna run through McCoy and he still looks spectacular. As critical as everyone has of getting rid of those other RBs, who cares? they could all or anyone of them easily be as good or better than either of our last two great number to RBs. That leaves WR, and this position is going to totally depend upon the health of its top 2 WRs in Jones and Matthews. And I actually think that Powell coming back after his four-game suspension will help, too. He and taped are the only two wide receivers Taylor has worked with before. Outside of them you have Holmes, who has some good NFL experience. But the simple fact is that Watkins and Wood messed 11 combined games in 2016. That's a big deal. Only the Chargers had their number one and number two wide receivers miss more combined games. We had Goodwin, Tate, Powell, and Justin Hunter out there as our primary "weapons" on multiple occasions. Our WR corps is better than those guys. Combine all that with an OC who has worked with TT before and will hopefully run a system to maximize his strengths and maybe everyone should be prepared to just be surprised
  4. Seriously? The answer is obvious and has been mentioned money money money many many times. The better question, especially for someone like you who seems to have some major issues when it comes to TT, this is what happens if T team plays really well? And this team is winning? And we even *gasp* make the playoffs? What do you think we should do then?
  5. Stay safe everyone! Nature is a beautiful but frighteningly powerful beast!
  6. So this is you wishing for a serious brain injury for Taylor all because you want a guy who you thought should start based on a few preseason games would have otherwise been the starter and retained the job...? Amiright? I mean, Peterman was pretty clearly never close to winning any QB competition, so it couldn't be that. Wow, that's pretty pathetic.
  7. Why? Aren't you one of the guys who said pretty consistently that Taylor is like Smith? I'm bored with people who think they know what will happen with teams and players. Who was predicting the Patriots would get stomped yesterday? And I love the way that the entire narrative here during the preseason was how much Taylor would struggle in this offense simply because he was struggling with what we saw in preseason games. As Beane and now Culley have revealed, this is a much more complex issue regarding what offense we had Taylor run in the preseason. It's actually hilarious that people looked at what Taylor was doing in the preseason and Peterman and thought it was an apples to apples comparison of the exact same offense when the offense Peterman was running was primarily in the shotgun, like Taylor is used to running, while Taylor was primarily under center. Hell, Dennison even had Peterman hand the ball off from shotgun (something Taylor didn't do once this preseason, despite doing it consistently over the course of his career) and run the ball once on a designed run (something Taylor, obviously, is very used to doing). Hellloooooooo?!?!?!?! Overreaction City here. I can't believe the amount of people who were pretty avid Taylor supporters who suddenly think Taylor's just terrible and Peterman is better. And I'm not even saying that I think Taylor's going to light it up. Part of me is a little worried about this type of PR article after the "We're Ready" video OBD decided to put out with Taylor last year and the absolute stinker he put up vs. Baltimore. But regardless, the offense we see Taylor running on Sunday and beyond will likely barely resemble the offense folks were so critical of him over the preseason. Less than 2 days!
  8. Love it, Shaw! Great way to articulate our suffering, especially those of us who truly feel suffering after Bills losses. Like you, I've been fortunately spared from personal misery, so that's probably as good an explanation as any for why I feel so much pain when the Bills lose and joy when they win. I've actually never thought about it like that. Nice write-up
  9. Oh yeah, and the 2007 Dolphins were 1-15. 50% roster turnover. New coach & GM. 11-5 playoffs. That's about what we have. I know you like to include the practice squad numbers, but virtually every team gets new practice squad players every single year. I counted 30 new players. You say you counted 31? OK, that's 3 or 4 players over the 50% range. And the majority of our starters on both sides of the ball (8 for offense and 6 for defense) are back.
  10. I'm starting to have a funny feeling this team is going to be the surprise playoff team of 2017... in truth, I'm a little amazed people aren't seeing this massive culture change that's happening in Buffalo. Extreme culture changes are huge.
  11. Win Sunday and we'll be in sole possession of 1st place in the division baby!!!
  12. Huh? I don't understand the confusion in the context of the discussion Hey why don't I get a "thanks buddy," too? I gave you the direct quote where Beane said that
  13. No one's installing two systems, it's all about what parts of the system Taylor will be running in the regular season, and according to Brandon Beane, the offensive playcalling we saw in the preseason for Taylor in the regular season will be very different from what it was in the preseason: http://www.wkbw.com/sports/bills/joe-b-5-takeaways-from-1-on-1-interview-with-buffalo-bills-gm-brandon-beane-83117?page=2 “I think you guys have heard me say it, making plays from the pocket -- I think we've tried to force that on him and work on that, and I think he's gotten better. I think he'll be better prepared. We know he can move around, the boots, the waggles, all that stuff -- you know, the zone reads. We know he can do that and we'll definitely plan to use that in the season."
  14. I think, regarding preseason play, QB play is nearly meaningless. EJ Manuel and Jeff Tuel have proven this, to me. I watched an OC who wanted to put his QBs in positions they were least comfortable with. It was super interesting how many times Peterman took shotgun snaps, handed the ball off from shotgun, and was rolled out compared to how little Taylor was, and yet the firestorm from folks on this message board clamored that Taylor's play was somehow proof he didn't fit this offense. I watch every preseason game to get my football fix and watch players at other positions because I do think there are other positions coaches evaluate more in the preseason. I just don't think QB is one of them when you consider all the factors and withholding at play. I'm excited to see the offense Dennison rolls out here as we start the season.
  15. So are the Jets and Dolphins. 4-2 is a winning record in the division.
