No we don't. We need to get into the playoffs to be a playoff team. If we go 2-1 in our next 3 games, we're still in pretty good shape. There's no team left on our schedule that isn't beatable, including the Patriots and Chiefs. But if we win our next 3 in a row, my thoughts will shift from merely playoffs to something better

Can you identify all of Taylor's bad games, please? You, much like Gugny are head-scratchingly asserting that the majority of Taylor's games are bad games. Gugny went so far as to say 30 of Taylor's 34 games are bad. So, name them so we can talk it out. Or is this another one of your weird "figures of speech" things like when you claimed something about 3rd down % by throwing out an actual number that was way off base? You claim that there are only 30 out of Taylor's remaining 32 games leftover were bad games after you've eliminated the good games against the Seahawks and Dolphins. So the following you would consider bad games? 2015 Indy Win @Mia Win @Ten Win Mia Win Hou Win Dal Win NYJ Win 2016 @NE Win @LA Win SF Win Jax Win Cle Win 2017 NYJ Win Den Win @Atl Win So you're arguing that 13 of those 15 games are bad games. In order to figure out those 13, why don't you tell us all which of those 15 are his 2 good games?

Week 7...Expecations should return to pre-season
transplantbillsfan replied to Jobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is the problem with looking ahead at a schedule and calling it easy or hard or impossible based on the teams you play. As oldmanfan said, I just hope McDermott is true to his weekly focus on these new opponents. Every game in the NFL is winnable. It's that simple. So anyone circling 3 automatic losses for when we play the Chiefs and Patriots twice is just misguided. Honestly, I think most people here like to circle losses in order to keep expectations super low and be pleasantly surprised when the team exceeds expectations, and if you keep expectations super low, your expectations are almost always exceeded. -
Gugny. C'mon man. You can't be serious with this, can you? So Taylor has been bad in 30 out of the 34 starts he's had in Buffalo? That's actually what you think? This doesn't even warrant any effort into trying to prove you wrong because it's just stupid. And I really hope I'm misreading what you said.

Blech!!!! Did someone seriously just bring in collegiate stats for a 7th year NFL vet as some point of comparison?!?! Incredible! Peterman has one of the weakest NFL arms I've seen. I like all the things you mentioned and still think he'll get exposed because of that. Brady has proven you can improve arm strength and compensate, but the kid needs time to develop his game. WTF?!?! So now Taylor's only had 4 good games and every other one has been bad?! This is just a ridiculous line of thinking. And it's also completely false.

Well, if the Bills get the lead, it's pretty obvious we're running the ball in order to run the clock and manage the game, so I would say if we beat the Pats, no, it's highly unlikely Taylor passes for 300 yards. So, I'll counter your question with another question: if we lose BUT Tyrod passes for 300 yards, does that somehow elevate your opinion of him over what it would be if we win and he doesn't pass for 300?

Did you notice the phrase "race-based slavery?" Yeah. Slavery has existed probably to some degree since man has existed. We conquer lands and enslave people. The triangle trade and specifically the raced based slavery involving the African race is a different animal and, probably with the exception of Jews, is largely unprecedented in human history. But thank you for the history lesson.

This is just sad. Are you drinking? Racism is a funny thing. It's undeniably prevalent in our society in many directions because humanity naturally fears what's different, but our country is one of the select few in history (maybe the only one...?) to implement a race based slavery that existed for hundreds of years and reverberated in policy for at least another century (this was merely half a century ago) and people hate it when anyone pulls the "race card" because... why exactly? We're so much better for the last 50 years than we were for the previous 500? People who don't like the race card being pulled should seriously examine why they dislike it so much. I'm not saying the race card always deserves to be pulled, but these types of reactions are always so disturbingly intriguing.

Here's another reason I actually think we're a playoff team even with Taylor at QB. Taylor's 2 worst games this year were on the road against 2 of the top 5 NFL defenses. Top 5 overall AND top 5 specifically in passing defense. We play 2 more games against top 10 defenses in Miami, and they're pretty clearly beatable with a terrible offense. After that, the rest of our games are against defenses ranked in the 23-32 range. Plus, 6 home games vs 5 away games. Taylor passing at home: 211 YPG, 65% completions, 8.0 YPA, 25 TDs, 9 INTs, team is 11-6 Taylor passing away: 199.5 YPG, 60.4% completions, 6.7 YPA, 18 TDs, 5 INTs, team is 7-10

Wow dude you are just a crotchety old man. Go get some sun. Or some Xanax. Geez. For all your complaints about "yippers" you sure as hell do a lot yourself. Oh, and not a clue what you mean about me being chased off billievers. I just posted there a couple days ago. Think I'll go post there now, too
