Weird connection I know... but I felt Mayfield was actually a distant 3rd to Rosen and Darnold for McBeane simply because of his height, but if it's true the Bills (with the Jets) are really going hard after Breed (who's never leaving NO), maybe that's an encouraging sign that McBeane aren't valuing the true "tall pocket passer" thing I thought they might solely value. And no, I'm not trying to say Mayfield = Brees

Good morning, boys

Welcome back from clearly being banned... kinda pathetic... 24 hours out after a month or so absence due to... umm... "high level business meetings?" ... and I don't know why or how long you're even here since this will be a super exciting and positive offseason... I mean... do I even have time to brew us a pot of coffee before you disappear into the night (voluntarily or not) after all your binge posting as you so consistently do? Oh.... psssst... I'd change the title so as not to giveaway the fact that you're also a chauvinistic douche... women are Bills fans and on this message board, too -
Report: Cousins to Vikings 27 Million per

Well... we're trading up in the 1st!!! -

Buffalo Bills (OAK mock trade) Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma. The Bills make it four quarterbacks in the top 10 by trading up to land Mayfield, who is as good a bet as any to be the first QB off the board or fourth. He'd be a great fit in Buffalo, and I can see the Bills wanting to get ahead of Miami and deny their division rivals the chance to draft him while potentially fixing their QB situation for good. For purposes of this mock, we'll say the Bills' 2019 first-rounder is the main asset going back to Oakland in addition to No. 21.

Not clinging... I've been talking about our new QB search... there are just a certain childish few posters being ridiculous in this thread and even creating call-out threads of other posters naming them individually in the titles.

Why Is No One Talking About Jay Cutler?

Darnold, Rosen, Mayfield
transplantbillsfan replied to Alvarado50's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Love Mayfield... I want him THEN Darnold THEN Rosen. -
Wait, are you saying that the crazy ideas are trading up in the draft? I think that that's probably the most likely at this point. I think Rosen, Darnold or Mayfield are quite likely going to be drafted by us and we're going to get a cheap Josh McCown or Derek Anderson in FA. Luck is a longshot, but he's choice #1 for me.

Not me. I don't care about excuses on either side... who the hell has convinced who and why does it even matter at this point? I just know 2 things that are undeniable and those are all that matter: 1- Tyrod is no longer a Buffalo Bill in a trade that netted us the 1st pick of the 3rd round 2- Beane and McDermott, as we sit here and type, are searching or finalizing a deal for our QB for the next 10-15 years, hopefully

25 pages in and some are still clinging to their criticism of a QB no longer on our team rather than excitedly chattering about what we do next at the most important position in sports. Soooo... what's the over/under when on Rya... I mean, Teddy KGB stops obsessing over Tyrod Taylor? I think he's most likely to start a thread on Tyrod on this message board during the regular season It will probably come and the form of a highlight video and the word "pantsed!" right below it. On a more positive note, can't wait to see who we pursue free agency and the draft beginning and less than a week! I'm fully on the Luck/Cousins train if it's a vet and the Mayfield/Darnold train if we're trading up. I'm on the Rosen train, too... just gotta look for my ticket

Tyrod Taylor Thanks Buffalo
transplantbillsfan replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Holy crap... post of the year Thanks Tyrod!!! You were and forever will be a huge part in breaking the longest running drought in American sports! Go get the Browns some wins, unless you're playing Buffalo! -
Ya know... this might make some sense now. Remember, one of his biggest problems in Washington supposedly was that he sat behind a QB the team committed to and "built around," but he never saw that same commitment. The Bills could potentially go up to him and say, "look, we have 6 picks in the first 3 rounds of this draft and 10 picks in the first 5 rounds, we're going to surround you with young talent for YEARS!!!" I could actually now see us getting into the Cousins sweepstakes.

Thank You Tyrod and Good Luck
transplantbillsfan replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This was great for the Bills and I think it'll be great for Tyrod. Despite all the idiots saying he wouldn't even be a starter next year or would be lucky to garner a 5th round pick in a trade, an NFL team just gave up the 1st pick in the 3rd round for you Tyrod. Good for you! Plus, you'll be throwing to 2 of the most talented WRs in the NFL and possibly handing the ball off to a generational talent at RB while working FINALLY with an offensive minded HC. I wish you success, except for when you play the Bills -
I posted a thread back in December presenting the ideal scenario of trading with the Colts either for Luck or for Rosen/Darnold Of course, I also said it was ideal for them to have the #2 pick because that would have ensured they would have gotten either guy if we traded for Luck. Now they're at #3. Who knows... but Luck would be my #1 choice.

Yep. Good for us. Good for him. I just hope McDermott and Beane are planning on swinging for the fences with a shot at our Franchise QB. That's what this feels like. Taylor could legitimately be really good in Cleveland throwing to Gordon & Landry and handing the ball off to Barkley. And none of us will care as long as we have "our guy."

THE ERA OF NATE HAS BEGUN
transplantbillsfan replied to Wagon Circler's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
no no No NO NOOOOOOOO!!!!! -
Who cares? Taylor did net more than many ever suspected he'd net. He netted more than I thought. And the Browns reportedly weren't the only team trying to trade for him, even before his $6 million bonus. Vindication all around It was a super smart trade. Taylor's gone. I promise I won't start a single thread again on Tyrod Taylor. He's not a Buffalo Bill anymore, thus, I am no longer a Tyrod Taylor fan. Let's go get Andrew Luck/Kirk Cousins/Sam Darnold/Baker Mayfield/Josh Rosen/Lamar Jackson... in that order, please
