  1. Holy crap!!! Even better
  2. If it's really 2 years for $16.5 million this is awesome!!! But if it's a sign we're targeting a project QB I really hope it's Jackson.
  3. Looked at the first and last page... Cost? Man I hope this doesn't mean we're targeting Allen.
  4. I hope so... it sure looks like it. I don't think Beane and McDermott would be sitting on their hands like this if they didn't already have a damn good idea what they were doing at QB.
  5. I would really be fine with Siemian. He'd be a backup QB who could start in a pinch if needed to start the year. And he's immensely cheaper than McCarron. At this point it's pretty clear that Beane's intention is to draft our long term Franchise QB.
  6. Well that seemed pretty obvious based on moving up. Ever since we acquired all those draft picks in last year's draft and then over the summer, I figured the Bills were destined to trade up for a QB in this draft. That was my initial feeling when it all happened. Of course, I second-guessed that and third-guessed it and 27th-guessed it, but ultimately, it's obvious Buffalo is going up to draft Mayfield/Darnold/Rosen. Just say NO to Allen!!!
  7. Remember how absolutely no one linked the Bears to Trubisky last year? That's what I'm hoping is going on here. Mayfield, in terms of leadership and intangibles and competitive fire and "chip-on-his-shoulder" mentality all combined with very underrated physical attributes really make him look, to me, like he's going to be the best NFL QB of this bunch.
  8. Not exactly the truth... just your opinion, because I'd argue that trading down to acquire at least 2 first round draft picks (and probably one more later round pick) to help shore up the OL in front of your potential All-World QB wouldn't be "mucking up" his first draft. OR Trading the QB he inherited with a questionable injury history even if he's medically cleared for players/draft picks while drafting one of the 2-3 best QBs in one of the seemingly best draft classes in decades doesn't seem like "mucking up" his first draft. There's a price for everything. The Colts pick at #3 and/or Andrew Luck I'm sure are in play. And given McDermott's and Beane's pretty obvious intent to get a Franchise QB this offseason, they would be one of probably just 3 or 4 teams we'll realistically be dealing with.
  9. Seriously??? Unless Luck's shoulder is completely shot and/or a medical team rules he needs another surgery, the answer is obviously Andrew Luck... duuuuhhhh.
  10. Holy crap... are there posters seriously arguing Allen's going to be the best in this draft class?! Ummm.... have you watched the NFL lately? Rookie QBs play and take fire in year 1. The best way for a QB to learn the game is on field experience with the bullets firing. Countless QBs have said this. And NFL rules are so QB friendly nowadays you can easily afford to do so if your team isn't in complete shambles and it's not a "project QB;" like Allen, who should sit if we draft him.
  11. Hey guys... sooooo anyone think this ideal scenario I laid out in December might play out? Do we trade up with the Colts to draft a QB? Or, in an even more earth-shattering move, do we trade for Andrew Luck? Stay tuned
  12. As long as it's Mayfield/Darnold/Rosen as that top drafted QB, I'd be fine with it. Maybe McDermott can bring Joe Webb back as the #3 QB. Peterman would clearly be the backup at that point. Build up the team with talent, otherwise.
  13. Thurm. Without question you are just incredible at evasive maneuvers. You were obviously and pretty clearly implying something by mentioning Duccasse, Humber and Zay Jones in the same breath as Taylor. So you respond to Stank's post that says this: And try to act as though he finally gets you when you still imply, pretty obviously, that Taylor's role was minimal and could be fairly compared with players like Humber, Ducasse, and Jones, which is absolutely preposterous. You are the King of wiggling out of admitting you say stupid stuff, which makes you look even worse than when you initially say it. As for my previous predictions regarding Taylor. Yep, ya got me. I predicted Taylor would still be on the roster unless the Bills had a clear and obvious upgrade. But it looks like with all our draft moves it's clear we're going to be drafting that upgrade in the draft somewhere likely in the top 5 when we trade up. I also predicted he'd still be on the roster because I didn't think the McDermott and Beane would get good value in a trade for him and they weren't just going to give a capable starting QB away for peanuts, unlike what some wanted them to do. So yes, I was wrong predicting Taylor would still be on the roster (even though I said they would definitely try trading him before his bonus was due and probably in an effort to move up in the draft ) and wrong predicting Taylor would still be on the roster until we had a clear and obvious upgrade (I don't even know if I said that this guy had to be on the roster at the time he was let go of... but you clearly want to be right, so I'll give you that technicality... even though they're obviously arguing that clear and obvious upgrade in the draft ) to take over at QB. So good for you Thurm. You're right on technicalities even if you ended up making a "dumb-on-the-face-of-it" comparison between Taylor and Duccasse/Humber/Jones
  14. Who cares about rushing the rookie on the field at this point? Unless it's Jackson or Allen, let Mayfield/Darnold/Rosen start day 1 and take their lumps. It's what QBs do nowadays. KC last year was an anomaly. High 1st round rookie QBs don't need this time on the bench anymore and we can use the money we save from not spending a lot of money on McCown or McCarron on other positions like OL to strengthen the team and surround our young QB with more talent to succeed.
  15. An expensive backup plan who's bound to cost way too much for his value in terms of both finances and trade capital... Yeah... no....
  16. I'd be generally okay with McCown if we got him fairly cheap, but I think he'll go back to the Jets for another year now. I don't want Foles or McCarron. I want Mayfield/Rosen/Darnold. Or Andrew Luck.
  17. Who cares? If the option is to trade into the top 5 for one of the top 3 QBs in this draft OR trade for Foles, why would anyone choose the latter???? As long as McDermott and Beane don't think Allen is worthy of a top 5 pick, ignore Foles, get a QB like Savage/Moor/Anderson and draft Mayfield/Darnold/Rosen and just let him roll under center from the start of the season.
  18. I disagree. I don't want McCarron, Foles, or McCown because all will be fairly expensive and I want our rookie to start right away, unless it's Allen (GOD PLEASE NOOOO!!!!)... in which case, get McCarron or Foles who could start for a couple years potentially.
  19. Good! I didn't want him. My only worry now is that we're going to be left without a serious viable starting QB because we're obviously drafting a guy. That might cause other teams to leverage us as we try to move into the top 5, which is clearly what we're doing.
  20. Hope it's cheap... he's only starting for a year at best. And I really really hope this isn't a sign we're going after Allen.
  21. Yessssss!!!!! Championship!!!! No... seriously :flirt:
  22. Mayfield, Darnold, Rosen and Jackson can. Luckily, I'll put money down on us drafting one of those 4 guys
