  1. Ya know... this might make some sense now. Remember, one of his biggest problems in Washington supposedly was that he sat behind a QB the team committed to and "built around," but he never saw that same commitment. The Bills could potentially go up to him and say, "look, we have 6 picks in the first 3 rounds of this draft and 10 picks in the first 5 rounds, we're going to surround you with young talent for YEARS!!!" I could actually now see us getting into the Cousins sweepstakes.
  2. This was great for the Bills and I think it'll be great for Tyrod. Despite all the idiots saying he wouldn't even be a starter next year or would be lucky to garner a 5th round pick in a trade, an NFL team just gave up the 1st pick in the 3rd round for you Tyrod. Good for you! Plus, you'll be throwing to 2 of the most talented WRs in the NFL and possibly handing the ball off to a generational talent at RB while working FINALLY with an offensive minded HC. I wish you success, except for when you play the Bills
  3. I posted a thread back in December presenting the ideal scenario of trading with the Colts either for Luck or for Rosen/Darnold Of course, I also said it was ideal for them to have the #2 pick because that would have ensured they would have gotten either guy if we traded for Luck. Now they're at #3. Who knows... but Luck would be my #1 choice.
  4. Yep. Good for us. Good for him. I just hope McDermott and Beane are planning on swinging for the fences with a shot at our Franchise QB. That's what this feels like. Taylor could legitimately be really good in Cleveland throwing to Gordon & Landry and handing the ball off to Barkley. And none of us will care as long as we have "our guy."
  5. no no No NO NOOOOOOOO!!!!!
  6. Who cares? Taylor did net more than many ever suspected he'd net. He netted more than I thought. And the Browns reportedly weren't the only team trying to trade for him, even before his $6 million bonus. Vindication all around It was a super smart trade. Taylor's gone. I promise I won't start a single thread again on Tyrod Taylor. He's not a Buffalo Bill anymore, thus, I am no longer a Tyrod Taylor fan. Let's go get Andrew Luck/Kirk Cousins/Sam Darnold/Baker Mayfield/Josh Rosen/Lamar Jackson... in that order, please
  7. May field!!! May field!!! May field!!! I wonder if Beane and McDermott already have a plan in place for the trade up with the Giants. I guess I should start coming to terms with the fact that it's most likely for Rosen even though I'd really prefer Mayfield or Darnold.
  8. Gotta be. Or a damn good idea on what it is. Man this is exciting!
  9. Amen. Netting the 1st pick in the 3rd round is a far, far cry from what many were claiming we'd get for him. This was an absolute no-brainer in terms of pulling the trigger. But they have to know what they want to do at QB now and I sincerely sincerely sincerely hope it still involves drafting a 1st round QB even if they trade for a guy like Foles or bring in a FA like McCarron or Bridgewater. I think maybe BLM had a premonition the other day in us trading up with the Giants to #2 for Rosen. Replace Rosen with Mayfield and I'm much much more excited.
  10. Huh? But he'll get it with the Browns now...
  11. Okay... if that's what we do, I'm stoked. I just feel like if we trade for Foles we won't also draft a QB in the 1st.
  12. Unless McDermott's ties with Gettleman are going to get him a better deal than he would've gotten with the Browns.
  13. No worries. I also said that the most likely scenario for Taylor being gone was in a trade to try to trade up in the draft to get our guy. I still hope that's the case and it's not us going after Foles.
  14. I think you'll be pissed if we do trade for Foles, then. If we trade for Foles, no way are we also going after Rosen/Mayfield/Darnold. I hope we don't trade for Foles. I don't understand why people would rather trade for him than go up and get Mayfield/Rosen/Darnold.
  15. Helluva lot better than the 5th rounder everyone thought he would get. Heck, this is almost a 2nd rounder! Trade up! Trade up! Trade up! Mayfield! Mayfield! Mayfield!
  16. It's not about hating Tyrod the person... you're smarter than that. Some of you hate him as a QB, which is why I added the phrase "as a QB" after the word "hate." And what a strange double-standard... so we can crucify a player if we don't like what we see of him at the Combine because "it's against air" but can't praise them for the same reasons? Let's all just go by what scouts and teams are likely using the most of in their evaluations: game tape. And Jackson looks electrifying as both a passer and a runner. If it scares you because he's too similar to Tyrod... well... that just seems like a weak argument. And you're ridiculously generalizing the entire message board assuming that because less than 78% of the message board don't believe TT will be back this year that a similar number of people would be against Jackson. That's 2 preposterous things you've insinuated now: 1) If we draft Jackson our attendance and viewership is likely to go down and 2) Feelings about TT = Feelings about Jackson
  17. Another notch in Mayfield's belt... He's dreamy
  18. Yeah... ticket sales won't slide if we draft Jackson. That seems like a preposterous prediction on your part. Do you hate Jackson as a QB as much or more as you hate Tyrod as a QB?
  19. So you'll cringe if we draft Jackson?
  20. We want a good athlete? I thought TBD consensus was that it's time to move away from all these good athletes at the QB position... so confused My QBs I'll be excited for are Mayfield & Darnold in a trade up or Jackson & Rudolph staying put at 21/22. I'd take Jackson over Rudolph, but there's a good chance even he won't be there at 21/22. So if what we're left with is Rudolph at 21/22 and McBeane take him, it's because they really like him. So I'll be super excited. I'll deal with Rosen and get excited if we trade up for him. But seriously question both his injury history and especially his general demeanor, love for the game and being a "leader of men." For that reason I just really doubt he's on our radar in the way the National media is reporting. I just don't think he's the right type of leader McDermott would want. Just a hunch, nothing more. Don't touch Allen with an 87-foot pole... I guess a 90-footer would be okay, though Me too, but Rosen would unsettle me a little.
  21. Wow... tough crowd. The guy has the size, ability, intangibles/leadership and production. Don't know what's not to like about him. I sure as hell don't want to see us trade up for him. And I really won't be upset if we pass on him. But what about him do you dislike so much? On the flip side, I'll break my TV if we draft Allen.
  22. Good stuff... thanks for this Hap. I've been moving guys around with who I want most, but Rudolph is the guy my gut wanted 2nd most as the season ended before I really started diving into everything. Mayfield was #1, and still is. I'd be super excited about Rudolph at #21.
  23. Mayfield or Darnold please... at least we're half in agreement
