And if the Chiefs lost, would you say everyone let Mahomes down? As focused as we are on how perfectly Allen played, Mahomes played every bit as well. This loss sucks, but that doesn't mean you have to find someone to blame.

It was a hard loss AND we closed the gap
BullBuchanan replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
No, because in the end they're more talented. Mahomes has now taken his team to the AFC championship all 4 years he's played. He'll likely go to the SB making that 3/4. We played on their level today, but we couldn't stop them when we needed to. This team overachieved today against a team that played flawless football. Maybe we'll be the team to beat down the road, but they're #1 until proven otherwise. -

You better learn to live with it, because it's probably all you're going to get. We had a great season and played the best team in the league to the final whistle. Outside of winning, there's nothing more that you can ask for. What do you think they'd be saying if they were on the receiving end? Neither team deserved to lose today, but someone had to. -

If McD gives you the results we have had over the last 2 years, I keep him until he retires. Yea, he made an error, so did both coordinators and the defense made plenty. Just one of them needed to make a play to turn this into a win and they didn't. There were absolutely scheme problems, but the players had a chance to win it and they didn't. Truthfully, we may never be better than the Chiefs over the long haul and may have to get used to being on the losing end of the rivalry. They're a perfect team with a perfect quarterback. We're both going to be in cap hell in a couple of years because of our QBs, but I think we'll have our shots over the next 10 years or so. I really don't see a future where they're chasing us though, as long as Mahomes stays healthy and their organization keeps the same philosophy. If that's as good as it gets for us, I'm ok with that. I think we can get a ring or two with this group if we have the right kind of year. The last couple of weeks covered up a season that really didn't go according to plan. We played poorly a lot and often looked like a team that regressed from last year. The Chiefs started poorly but went 9-1 in their last 10 while we went 6-4. Our defensive strategy needs a shakeup, and we need to find some playmakers on the d-line to help out the secondary in games like this. There were so many times we almost had Mahomes today, but then he just walked on water and saved the day. As long as we let him play perfect football, he will. It's not that different from playing against Brady all these years, except he's far more athletically gifted. -
But it wasn't an apocalypse when coaches do it? What about when players leave for the draft?

100%. Singletary/Moss are close enough in ability despite different styles that I don't think we benefit that much by activating the two of them at Breida's expense. Neither one is a starting caliber player, IMO.

Picking up Edmunds Option a Rare Beane Mistake
BullBuchanan replied to Billy Zabka's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would say that honor easily goes to London Fletcher. he isn't even the best pass coverage LB on the team now. Traditionally, MLB has been a more physical player unless you had one of the greats (and even that's kind of a late 90's to present thing. It's little surprise we've had few athletic players at the position. Edmunds is completely expendable IMO and I'd like to see us target a replacement high in next year's draft. -
Is the #1 seed that big of a deal anymore?
BullBuchanan replied to streetkings01's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's a bigger deal than it's ever been with only 1 bye now. It's the biggest negative side effect of expanding the playoffs imo. -
OBJ Hasn't been a relevant player in the league since his 3rd season. After he got paid, he's never been the same.

Why? Their performance was unacceptable last week too, as well as the game before that.

Injuries Show how Little Depth Bills Have
BullBuchanan replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall
We have as much depth as you can expect any team to have. Lack of talent is not really an excuse for what happened today. -
I think a speedster WR is one of the last things we need. Every WR we have is fast besides Beasley and Kumerow. We need a 3 down RB and help in the trenches on both sides. We still can't get pressure on 4 man rushes. I saw some more BS about how Jerry Hughes is generating a top 5 pass rush, but I feel like it's been nearly a decade since he was actually any real threat to opposing QBs.

Running game...why do we never run outside

Brieda is one of the fastest RB's in the league. https://nextgenstats.nfl.com/stats/top-plays/fastest-ball-carriers/2019/REG/all -
I find it interesting that an offensive line that has had largely the same cast for 3 season is suddenly garbage. It's undeniable that they're playing like garbage, but how much of this blame lies on the coaches and how much lies on the players? They were good enough last year to be ranked PFF's 10th best unit, yet the same personnel is now the NFL's worst? I don't buy that these guys all of a sudden can't play football. I think it's far more likely that they're being exploited by what they put out there on tape, and they're refusing to adjust to the adjustments of other teams. Mitch Morse isn't great and Cody Ford is pretty clearly not cut out to be a starting NFL player, but Ike was very good most of last season, and Dawkins and Williams have plenty of tape to show they can play. Even when Feliciano was in, he wasn't playing well either. Yes, the players have to go out there and get it done, but when guys have shown you in the past that they're good enough, and now they look awful, that's exactly a coaching staff's responsibility to address. They need to diagnose exactly what's going on and make positive steps to address it. Maybe it's a player move, a coaching change, or a scheme adjustment, but ultimately they're responsible when guys don't get it done. https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-final-2020-offensive-line-rankings

Allen was embarrassed today. The Jags pulled his pants down all afternoon and he didn't even bother pulling them up. His o-line was hot garbage, his receivers had critical drops, and the playcalling seemed to be horrible most of the day. Still, Josh's decision making was abysmal. Honestly it's been a problem throughout the year from my seats. He's just so good of a talent (as is most of the rest of the team) that he keeps overcoming it, but something is off with him this year. There were like 10 plays today that could have made this a W, but that shouldn't have even been the issue. We should have beat this team by 30.

Tough to do that when Breida is inactive

The founders were classic liberals
BullBuchanan replied to Buffalo716's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
When you live in a society, you get to share the cost of living in that society. It's part of the deal. Unless you make around 400k, close to 10% of that 30% is going directly to services that fund seniors (medicare and SS), so while you're technically paying for today's seniors you can really think of it as paying for your own future care. I agree with you on the lobbing missiles bit, and there is plenty of corruption and waste. Taxes are a necessity in a capitalist society though. If you're interested in doing away with that altogether, I'm listening. -

BullBuchanan replied to Buffalo716's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It seems to me that you have "The left" confused with "Liberals" and liberals confused with "conservatives" here. The actual left has nothing to do with liberals or Democrats and the things you seem to be crying about on the left has been the republican platform for decades. "Conservatives" want to tell you: What medical procedures you're allowed to have What bathroom you're allowed to use Who you can marry What you're allowed to eat/smoke/drink and when what you can teach in schools and what you cant What you're allowed to protest and how That the government can kill you for any reason at any time And that's before we even get into the whole situation about how they forcibly allow other people to infringe on your rights to safety and security. Liberals are mostly just conservatives when it comes to their big business cronyism, but on the social side they prefer to make empty gestures which ends up being better than the conservative goal of making life as horrible as possible for anyone besides old rich white christian men. -
Maybe Biden will finally grow up and stop believing in magical wizards that live in the sky and care about what types of medical procedures are allowed for women or what kind of food you can eat on Fridays. Glad to see you kids couldn't stay away in Trumptardville for more than a couple months. Glad to have you all back.

1. Chiefs 2. Browns 3. Bills
BullBuchanan replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Browns couldn't beat Chad Henne who did everything he could to hand them the game. That said, the Browns got a lot better on paper this offseason. It's going to come down to Mayfield I think. If he takes a leap forward, they'll be very tough to beat and should have us eclipsed in talent.
