If he can play after suffering a Grade 2 MCL sprain nine days later the military should hire him to singlehandedly take out Isis. -

Wild Card Weekend - Wild Card Weather
Doc Brown replied to WEATHER DOT COM's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think her and her speech writer were the only one's who thought it was a good idea. As far as weird vibes go, I'm more worried about McDermott bringing up the Nazis not letting the freezing weather deter them from occupying Poland as a pre game pep talk. -

Guys. He's on FS1. I hope ESPN hires him just to piss people off some more though. LOL. -

If they put a travel ban into effect even CBS might have to sacrifice a few million viewers if it’s moved to Monday. -
Steelers @ Bills. Monday, January 15th at 4:30pm.

If we lose this game because of the weather the anger will be turned to Pegula. -
I would never hire a defensive minded coach with no experience as a head coach if I was an owner. We'll see how good the Texans are when they lose another Shanahan disciple in Bobby Slowik. No because they already met the Rooney Rule requirement I believe.

The NFL is terrified about losing that Iowa demographic. -
A 4th down throw into the EZ is not a suitable substitute for a punt
Doc Brown replied to AKC's topic in The Stadium Wall
The term "as good as a punt" really only applies on a 3rd and long and launch it deep hoping a WR can make a play. Even then there's some debate about whether the potential reward outweighs the risk as it's more likely for a defensive back with the INT to return it for a long game or TD than a punt returner on 4th down. In this particular situation though Josh made the best play he could've made after missing his first read. I wonder if visions of 4th and goal against the Bucs flashed in his head with a similar route to Kincaid. -

Doc Brown replied to AKC's topic in The Stadium Wall
My problem with Josh on that play is he had Kincaid open for an easy first down. He absolutely made the right play to heave it to the end zone though once he went off that read. There was nobody open and he wasn't going to be able to pick it up with his legs. You just heave it up and hope your guy can make a play and if he can't then maybe the other team will be dumb enough to pick it off. -
Wild Card Round, Squeelers v. Bills - PREDICT THE SCORE
Doc Brown replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
14-10 Bills. Reverse score of NE wind game. Bills get two TD's (make one two point, miss the other). Steelers block punt for safety and score one TD with the two point conversion. Bills double them in total yards. -
Sam Martin named AFC Special Teams Player of the Month
Doc Brown replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
You don't set the NCAA record in yards per punt and win the Ray Guy award if you're not good. The infatuation with him is because we spent a draft pick on him and he made the team before being falsely accused. The case against him wasn't settled until December of this season this year and it's rare for a team to sign a free agent punter mid-season. I think he'll get a shot next training camp and I hope it's with the Bills. -
Wild Card Weekend - Wild Card Weather

We had the perfect playoff game at sub zero temperatures. We won 32-29 against the Fish last year where Allen threw for 305 yards and 4 TD's (he played best when the snow started falling heavily in the 4th quarter). I can buy the wind argument but not the cold/snow. -

I'm guessing Cam Lewis plays the Rapp role and I'd argue that Dane Jackson is arguably a better tackler than Douglas. Dodson may be our biggest loss but next man up. -
Jan 11. 2017: Sean McDermott is hired to coach the Bills
Doc Brown replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
Found an old NFL article ranking them.... 1.) Anthony Lynn 2.) Sean McVay 3.) Vance Joseph 4.) Kyle Shanahan 5.) Doug Marrone 6.) Sean McDermott - It's unfair to rank McDermott this low, but someone has to bring up the rear. McDermott is well respected throughout the NFL, but he has the fewest tangible assets and perhaps the most difficult job of the new coaches. The Bills have high expectations and a flawed roster. The organization also has an entrenched GM in Doug Whaley who hasn't shown a great aptitude for finding talent. McDermott made his name as a defensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers under a defensive-minded head coach in Ron Rivera, so it's difficult to tease out what his impact was. The Panthers' defense wasn't exactly a shutdown unit in his tenure, despite being well-coached. McDermott has been a defensive coordinator the last eight seasons between his time in Philadelphia and Carolina. Those defenses ranked in the top 10 in points allowed twice. McDermott's offensive coordinator will be former Broncos OC Rick Dennison, a coach who was attached at the hip to Gary Kubiak for most of the last two decades. The Bills will likely be breaking in a new quarterback, one of many challenges for Dennison in the role. Perhaps McDermott and Dennison are NFL lifers who just needed this chance to show their value. They will have to be exceptional to excel in Buffalo, where they face an uphill task. -
Wild Card Weekend - Wild Card Weather
Doc Brown replied to WEATHER DOT COM's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bengals divisional game memories. Patriot wind game meories. The belief that weather is the great equalizer if there's a talent difference. The fact that the Steelers script to win is run the ball to control the clock and force/capitalize on Bills offensive mistakes (that is more likely in inclement weather). I'd rather have ideal conditions to be honest but I agree that we may be a little too concerned about the weather. -
