Monday Night Games - Miami/Titans/Lions/Seahawks

I would hope so. It's not that Tua is elite. It's just that the complete lack of a backup plan for someone with similar strengths tailored to their offense is mind boggling for an injury prone QB. -
The defense never would've expected it.

Brandon McManus reinstated - Bass replacement?
Doc Brown replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just another JAG. I hate wasting practice squad spots on kickers but Bass's inconsistencies should force their hand. -
Defense Playing Undermanned Due To Performance Issues.

Yeah. He looked like a zombie out there. -
Geez. I put 75% of that on Brady, 15% on Dawkins, and 10% on Allen. The first two are obvious but Allen needs to throw that ball away once he saw nobody was open.

I'd be more concerned if we only squeaked by the Fins and Jags. The optimist in me tells me this game was the perfect storm of desperation by the Ravens, a poorly prepared Bills team feeling themselves playing at half speed on a short week, a defense exploited in the middle that desperately needs T. Johnson and Bernard back, and Josh Allen still developing chemistry with his new WR's (I hate we didn't do more to address the position this off-season). We'll see what this team is made of the next two weeks.

I think he wanted it to work because they're pry practiced it repeatedly since training camp. I've got to see the All 22 but I don't think he saw Van Noy. If he throws a TD to Coleman there then Brady's a genius. Having said that, it was just the wrong time to run the play against the wrong team. I've seen this defense get gashed early many times over the years and then McD quickly adapting shutting the opponent down for most of the rest of the game. The Cardinals game comes to mind. I don't think it was scheme as much tonight as it was personnel with them attacking what should be backups in Spector, Williams, and Lewis.

I'm pretty sure they make you leave in a walking boot even if a bee stings your foot. -

Are we meeting them at the airport? -
Good thing Rice wasn't driving the cart.

9/29/24 GAMEDAY Bills at Ravens SNF PREGAME THREAD
Doc Brown replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
God no. There's a reason they went out and signed Jon Brown and Cole Beasley in 2019. Zay Jones was awful at that point in his career and a long with Foster they barely put up over 1,000 yards combined. -

Whenever I think of at Baltimore this tweet comes to mind Allen's rookie year. I know there's been a lot of talk about moving on from Diggs but my god we've come a long way. -
Week 4 - Bills at Ravens Game Week Thread

Oh God. He made a lot of clutch catches over the years. We don't have to diminish his contributions because we don't like how he exited. -
If Hopkins becomes available, would you want Beane to trade for him?
Doc Brown replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not exactly a trade but pretty much the same thing is the Rams acquiring OBJ mid season in 2021 just after the Browns released Beckham. The Rams don't win the Super Bowl without him as he was still elite. -

Doc Brown replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beane isn't if we lose more than we win before the trade deadline and are around .500. He'll make a move whether it's for a WR or another position of need. BTW, if we lose three straight (we're playing way better defenses) this idea is going to be a lot more popular. We'll see 100 page threads on Hopkins, Adams, Cooper and maybe even Diontae Johnson. I'm glad they pushed the trade deadline back a week. -
What's somewhat even more surprising to me is Coleman pry being ahead of him if he wasn't disciplined for being late. I thought MVS and Samuel would get more snaps in place of him.

If you could get a day 2 pick for Cook would you pull the trigger…
Doc Brown replied to julian's topic in The Stadium Wall
He's averaging the same ypc as Barkley did last year (3.9 ypc) because of the Giants porous offensive line and teams load up the box and dare Daniel Jones to beat them. Motor isn't the problem with the Giants offense. -

Doc Brown replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
True. The Douglas trade last year was needed because Elam wasn't up to the task of replacing T. White. Also, he had another year left on his deal. I think you'd need just an avalanche of injuries at the WR position for Beane to try and trade for an expensive WR like Hopkins. Learning the playbook and developing chemistry with Allen takes time. Do you really want to spend $7m or whatever it is on a rental player with the hope that he'll be a meaningful contributor in January? -

Doc Brown replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's not happening. This regime has clearly told us this off-season that this WR by committee approach is what they're going with for better or worse. They also told us they're going younger and cheaper. Hopkins is the opposite of that at this point in his career and he's too expensive for a rental player. Now if the Browns want to dump Amari Cooper........ -

Low scoring tight game assuming it rains like it was two years ago. Douglas picks off Lamar with 30 seconds left. Bills -21 Ravens -17 -
