I seperate Beane from 13 seconds. A cluster of endgame coaching errors must be used as motivation for McDermott. Use that evening as a testament that it will never happen again. Beane has filled 98% of the holes. Hopefully the OL can rise up. 1 thru 53, this should be the best Bills team ever assembled.

The only time I felt encouraged by our run game during the entire JA era would be the final 4 games last season when we finally returned to "pulling guards". I think the ability of Cook to receive will open up our run game somewhat, but you're right in saying our OL still needs improvement. Hopefully Kromer can get some continuity going.

I think both their careers peeked on that play.

Elam Cook Araiza .....in that order...Elam may have a couple fixable flaws but he's got the capacity to be much better than Levi. This was our #1 position of need as we wait for Tre to return. If Cook becomes the receiving RB we've been waiting for, sky's the limit for our offense. And watching his tape tells me he will bust a few big runs along the way. Sometimes a season or home field advantage can come down to 1 game. Haack's 3 step blocked punt/TD against the Steelers was a huge play. Then 17 weeks later I finally get to my first ever Bills game only to watch Haack shank the ball 5 times including a 7 yarder. Araiza will be fun, dynamic and he'll learn to hold.

I like Elam's potential but was hoping McDuffie fell to us. Teach him tackling techniques and we should have a good replacement for Wallace. I wanted Hall but after watching Cook's tape he showed good burst and a consistent ability to be better than Duke or McKissic. Bernard seems to be high energy character guy. He'll contribute and give the staff someone to compete with Dotson. Shakir and Araiza will have the best value at their draft positions. Haack is terrible and nearly cost us 2 games last year. And when you lose home field by 1 game, it matters. Shakir will eventually assume the gadget McKittrick role. And I'm not worried about Araiza learning how to hold. I think Benford has the ability to become a decent backup db like Dane. The last 2 picks are just bodies who are not likely to make the team. Nothing intriguing there. It was a good but not great draft for us, as we got some needed help in a few areas. B-

Of course it's not for this year. They're just getting a jump on looking at some LB traits with Bernard & Spector. Next years draft is where they'll replace Tremaine somewhere in the first 2 rounds. -

I wouldn't want to be a DC preparing for Buffalo this year. -
Round 6 Pick 209 (31): OT Luke Tenuta, Virginia Tech

Pretty soon Josh won't be able to see over them. This guy will be PS. -
Rd 6, Pick 180 (1): Punter Matt Araiza, San Diego State

He'll learn how to be a capable holder and he'll blow away anything Moorman did. -
Rd 6 pick 185 (6): CB Christian Benford, Villanova

Just watched his tape. He may not have top speed but his instincts to read the route is amazing. -

We got some sneaky good picks today. -

You do have a point. I wish they'd hurry up and raise the 53. -

I don't get the obsession with punters holding kicks. Qbs spin the ball off shotgun snaps constantly. Just train Case Keenum. -

Just replace Hodgins with Kyle Phillips. It's not like he's ever going to see the field. -

They literally wait till Buffalo picks to go to commercial break every time. They ghosted the Shakir pick. -
Apparently the Punt God has no hang time or holding ability.

Maybe we'll hold Hodgins hostage for 4 years like Wade. If you had told me we wouldn't draft one wr in the first 4 rounds I'd call you crazy. -

Yes it is. Elam would've still been there. Punters gone, Austin gone. I guess no wr this draft? -

Having 4 6th round picks is ridiculous. There's no room for them. I'd get rid of all of our last 5 picks to move up. Quality over quantity. -

There won't be anyone left of value by the 7th round. The 7th round might as well be udfa. The Bills are basically 95% set. We needed Stout and I'm sure Araiza will be gone soon.
