This is the ultimate "rock and hard place" scenario. The organization doesn't have the time or luxury to keep him on the roster and let the investigation pan out for months. The distraction would've been ridiculous. Hopefully the truth comes out and justice is served.

Come on people. Everyone knows helmets are less dangerous in practice than in games. His "slap on the wrist" punishment will be $25k and a quick semi- sincere apology. The shield (Rams) won't jeopardize 9/8 opener. But if a 3rd string rookie had done it, he'd be cut next day. I love this world as we pick n choose punishments. 😀

Diggs is a top 5 wr and will likely be double teamed alot. Gabe might be one of the top5 WR2's in the league so he's going to see an increase in targets. Knox, Dirty and Hodgins or Shakir will round out the remaining targets nicely. And this doesn't even take into account the dump offs to Cook.

If the price is right OBJ is going to only 2 teams. The Rams or Bills. We'll see how his rehab is going, but as Logic said this cap move is more for injury insurance.
