After 10 games were 24th @ 17.9% rate. I think because of the high rate of 3rd & longs we've given up lately and with Groot out we have no choice. We have to bump it up to 25%. If Micah, Poyer and Tre were all available we could have the luxury of less blitzes. And honestly the only true blitzers on our D are Milano and Poyer.
His capacity to do so much more than just returns is ridiculous. Remember his first game as a Bill when Josh missed him on an open wheel route. Dorsey has to stop dicking around and use this guy. Scheme up some plays dude.
I'm letting McKenzie go and doing whatever I can to renegotiate a contract with Hines. Trust me his potential as more than a returner in this offense is too much to just let him go.
Finally saw the whole play. Gilliam could've blocked better but why doesn't Isaiah dive for the cone at the 2 yard line, rather than plant his foot inside the 1 and engage the db? McKenzie is 165 pounds dripping wet. Dude you're not a power back. Dumb on his part not to dive for the cone.
Edmunds next contract falls with each lost game. I guess Von gets doubled again with Boogie bull rushing on the other side. I expected a heavy dose of running but they might let Goff go some?
I think we'll have to dial up a few more blitzes the remainder of the season because of Groot's injury and little production from AJE/ Boogie. Obviously Milano has the biggest impact on blitzes but we gotta get some dbs home on the blitz too. Really disappointing neither Boogie or AJ seem to have much with pass rush skills...
2 picks we could've used on OL?
Using him only on returns is a colossal waste. And unlike Reid, it shouldn't take Dorsey a month to figure out how to use him on offense. Wheelroutes, dumpoffs, screens, slot wr? Anything Ken, figure it out dude.
Sorry but constant ankle injuries are a testament to his inconsistent play these last 2 seasons. The drops continue and you never know from week to week which Gabe you're getting? I'm sure Dorsey & not having aa good slot wr also contributes. But he's gotta step it up.
