No doubt wr is our 2nd biggest need after OL. Who knows what Gabe's future is. I'd love to see a fast wr and 2 olineman with our first 3 picks. But we also need to do a better job of incorporating Shakir & Hines into the receiving game to evaluate them.
Totally agree. As long as McD is in Buffalo, whoever his DC is will run the exact system he wants. I'm just hoping (maybe naively) that the new DC might be allowed to add a few new wrinkles.
We has a 16-0 lead midway thru that 3rd quarter and right on schedule our D got gassed and abused. The one thing about the bend don't break defense. As they're bending, they're tiring out.
With Von done this will probably be Epenesa's final chance to prove he's a legit pass rusher. No more rotational fill in guy. No more rushing way to deep beyond the qb. No more missed tackles.
Our defense let us down in Houston and twice in KC. You can't deny that. 13 seconds will forever stick to Leslie's legacy. I like him as a person and coach but if I get a 3rd round pick and a different direction on D, sign me up in a heartbeat.
Our last 3 losses in the playoffs were because of defensive breakdowns. I'm not worried about JA17 and our ability to score. It's losing Von, Micah and hoping other D players stay healthy ( Tre, Poy) that terrifies me.
Reggie White was dominating in his late 30's. This is a tough blow but like Tre, Von Miller will heal and be ready to contribute by late Oct or Nov. He's got 5 more years on his contract. He'll be back and have an impact.
Yes and last year our defense and lack of pass rush let us down for a 3rd straight playoff season. Groot & Ed are going to have to do the heavy lifting.
If you draft 3, maybe 1 or 2 stick. If you can draft back to back DE's in the 2nd & 3rd round than Beane can put his foot down and do the same w/ OL. Maybe another in the 6th or 7th? Dead serious after watching Q nearly get Josh killed twice. Sorry but I'm protecting our #1 asset.
I would rather win a game 42-38 then lose a game 20-17. We've given Sean enough bites at the defensive Apple. It's officially time to build a juggernaut offense around the best qb Buffalo has ever seen. I will always admire and be grateful to McD for the process, culture and player bonding he brings to this organization. It's just the game management that terrifies me?
