  1. That week 1 drop/int. against the Rams kinda set the tone for Isaiah. He just never settled into the slot role. He was just a gadget guy who would have a rare outlier big game. No consistency.
  2. He didn't even try to engage his man.
  3. Reason for optimism Josh Allen Reason for pessimism Sean McDermott
  4. And why did he allow Frazier to run it for the last 3 years while KC & Cincy dismantled us in the playoffs. In theory McD should be more aggressive and willing to call more press coverage opportunities. But assuming it happens and actually seeing it are 2 different things. Sean has no one left to take the fall (Farwell, Frazier).
  5. I'm shocked Brown isn't in the 40's. He's not long for this team if he plays like he did last year. Watch that week 3 Tua game. It's almost laughable.
  6. I don't know who or what is the answer for RT, but I do know both Brown or Quessenberry will get Josh hurt. Guaranteed!
  7. The line will be slightly improved. But if you had witnessed the week 3 abomination of Spencer Brown pretending to play RT, you'd pass out. He literally let his man beat him immediately off the snap. And if Kromer thinks he'll magically improve post ankle, he's dreaming.
  8. Alot of accurate assessments. His game management has only slightly improved during the regular season. But I still have little faith in him outscoring teams during the playoffs. It's as if he relies the his players' athleticism to take over. As a distributor of process, culture and player relationships I would definitely call him great. His 4th aggressiveness is appreciated. I'm excited he's taking control of the defense. There's just this underlying fear His lack of game management (13 sec) will rear it's ugly head and cost us another playoff game.
  9. Belichick needed Brady to win rings. And Andy needed Mahomes. Sean has had Josh for 5 full years and managed to struggle in the playoffs. You can't deny that McD is not the tactician or strategist that these 2 coaches are. Especially in high leverage playoff games. I don't want change for the sake of change. I just don't want to re-live watching Sean get outcoached like Marv. And waste the greatest qb this team is likely to ever have. Sorry but I'm not waiting around 14 years (Andy) for Sean to figure it out.
  10. Yes, Marty Schottenheimer. He lost in the playoffs 4 straight years with Cleveland and went on to lose 7 playoff seasons with KC. Sean has 5 down, 6 to go?
  11. I wish there was an antidote for fans simply content with fun winning regular seasons, while we've now failed in 5 McDermott era playoffs.
  12. Just do what Jeter did.
  13. I agree. The nice guy personality with Josh needs to transition to a leader willing to critique and even "get in the face" of your players for lack of performance. Brady did it his whole career. And I've seen Mahomes do it too.
  14. This question is easy. For the last 5+ years Brandon has had every opportunity to build a dominant OL around his superstar qb. But because his partner is a defensive HC, he's been influenced to lean toward somewhat failed defensive picks. And because Josh is so damn athletic and sometimes reckless, he and McD simply embrace that style.
  15. We expect him to do it all. We expect him to be a superhero. We ask him to do things no Bills qb in history has done. He walks on the field against Cincy and before he can practically react it's 14-0. And let's not forget the waves of emotional events that led up to and culminated against the Bengals. Josh is hardly without blame. He has find ways to stay more emotionally balanced. He has to avoid "Zombie Josh" as many have accurately mentioned. Stefon and Josh have to rekindle their bro-mance and get back to work.
  16. It's not for McD or Beane to deal with. Diggs' tantrum was directed 10 feet from Josh's face. These 2 need to work it out between them. And yes it's not the end of the world that Diggs is an OTA no show. But I think 99% of Bills fans consider these 2 our leaders. Leaders show up to voluntary workouts.
  17. Doesn't celery have 0 calories?
  18. Yes, either us or the NFC. F the Chiefs.
  19. Smokeshow....good for you QB1.
  20. He'll find a creative way for a 2 year deal. It will involve some more restructures. This is the WR2 we've been waiting for. Maybe he'll take less also?
  21. Yeah he probably will. He'll probably win alot of regular season games only to struggle in the playoffs. 4 years is a trend, not an anomaly. And honestly I'm giving Josh much more credit for these wins than any brilliant game day strategies by McD. 13 seconds kind of validates that. It's just so damn hard to criticize him because of pulling this organization out of the drought. And all his success with the team culture. He's just not going to ever outscheme coaches in high leverage games. Levy had the same problem.
  22. I'm only counting the bounced games. Yes Indy and last season's Mia. playoff games were also nailbiters where the D struggled late. The frustrating part in this narrative is we don't need the old Ravens or Bears D to win a SB. Just a defense that can get off the field. We couldn't get off the field in SB25. I agree. The clock starts this season. He gets 2 more years and then if we continue to get bounced, Terry will make a move. When is Dabs contract up??
  23. What do analytics say about his 4th quarter coaching in the playoffs?
  24. They should want a bright offensive mind to be HC. This league has stressed passing and offense for awhile now. So including Houston, KC twice and Cincy, we've defensively melted badly in these playoff games. That's on Sean.
  25. I could care less about this list and ranking. Whether he's 10th, 15th or 20th is irelavant. Sean McDermott's legacy will come from his playoff performance. If he gets this team to a Lombardi, the Schottenheimer stigma will forever be off his back. He will be forever exaulted.
