The Diggs, Sherfield and Cook drops were brutal but having 5 defensive starters out (yes I'm including Von) was the reason we couldn't get a KC punter on the field. I personally feel when Milano was lost, alot of air came out of that balloon. And other players are just incapable of raising their game to the level of their leader.

The only way I allow Belichick to take over is he must agree that Beane runs the personnel. Vrabel is getting a HCing job somewhere. Not a Bienemy fan. Henry would be too expensive and too old. Just run with Cook & Johnson and replace Murray/Harris. Definitely need a 1st round wr but wait till the 4th for another. Belichick would not get outcoached by Reid or Taylor. But unfortunately this is all unrealistic because Pegula loves Sean and his losing in the divisionals every year.

Mock Draft season. Mel Kiper mock draft 1.0
LABILLBACKER replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Poyer will likely play one last year. Draft a 1st round wr with size and speed. Get a FS in the 2nd round. DT in the 3rd and turn around and draft wr again in the 4th. We're fine at LB, TE and to some degree OL. SIgn Araiza and draft late a better kicker. What ever cap money we have after restructures use on defense. -
Have any of you been in this situation before??(vague title)
LABILLBACKER replied to BillsBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall
My Bills Fandom was not handed down to me by my family. I grew up and have lived north of LA my whole life. As a kid I loved watching OJ run at SC and vowed to follow whatever team drafts him. Then the journey began and was amplified. Now my 4 grown up kids who do root for the Bills are more worried about my condition after big heartbreaking loses. Thank God I don't see them needing therapy like me after a loss. As Warcodered said you gotta take a breath and let it be authentic. -
Spags didn't think Josh could stay patient
LABILLBACKER replied to beebe's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh was patient and took his shots to Sherfield and Diggs. The Sherfield throw obviously was difficult but open and catchable. The throw to Diggs was absolutely perfect. No excuses there. I personally would have liked to see Josh go to Diggs on the 2nd & 9. It definitely would've been a 1st and burned clock. Seeing Shakir open probably got him excited. We can easily run a less turnover centric offense like against KC. And take our shots when safeties pinch. The one worry I have is Cook. Can he be trusted to ever catch a ball and besides the Dallas game, can he be consistent? -
I can't wait until dabolls system is gone for good!!!!
LABILLBACKER replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Unfortunately Josh is not a WCO rhythm qb. His strength is find his 1st or 2nd read or improvise off script. Because of his athleticism that will always be his game until he gets to his mid 30's. -

One thing I will say is we've managed to get guys open on deeper routes the last 3rd of the season. Josh has either over-threw them or they dropped the ball. I don't mind the quicker routes & checkdowns. It does help the OL. But I do want to draft younger faster wrs who can occasionally stretch the field. I can live with Brady another year as long as he adds some wrinkles. -
What realistic coaching changes do you expect?

Can We End This Nonsense About Homefield Advantage Now?

Can We End This Nonsense About Homefield Advantage Now?
LABILLBACKER replied to K D's topic in The Stadium Wall
Number one priority is being relatively healthy going into the playoffs. Getting the 1 seed is just gravy and allows your team one less game to play. Those 3 games we lost cost us that 1 seed. -
Simply put we were just too hurt…
LABILLBACKER replied to BillMafia716ix's topic in The Stadium Wall
The last sentence is the big one. I'm only giving McDermott one more year. Keep your team healthy any way you can and get beyond the damn division round. -
I will give Simon alot of credit. He's gotta navigate through alot of knuckleheads like me. But thank God this forum exists if for no other reason than to vent and commiserate.

When you've seen this movie so many times, after awhile you became numb and less combative. It should be really easy and quiet next year.

He puts together just a good enough defense and system to help Josh get 11+ wins each year. But once the playoffs start everything about his defense crashes down. And until he's gone this will continue every year. He's terrible scheming against elite teams/ qbs. Gee ya think. Yet we'll be stuck with this idiot for a couple more years. I guess Pegula likes getting kicked in the face.

I'm rooting for Lamar to shut down that arrogant team/ fanbase. Then Campbell and the Lions beat Baltimore.
-
So he was only 1 sack away from a $15M sack. What a collasal bust signing.
-
....and he never will be...Sean has no clue how to stop offenses in the playoffs. Andy and Mahomes absolutely own him. Burrow owns him. I just can't get excited or optimistic anymore with him running this team.
-
No....Milano, DQ and Tre going down early. Then all the additional injuries later in the season. No way we were winning it all. Even if Bass makes that kick, we were still losing last night. This wasn't our year. 6-6 kinda validated that. I appreciate all the rallying for 5 straight but even games late against the Chargers & Patriots proved we were out of sync. Find a way to eliminate injuries and Josh turnovers and maybe I'll get excited again. And finally I don't think McD can ever take this team to the final level.
