2024 concerns at Saftey and Defensive Gloom and Doom
LABILLBACKER replied to Lenigmusx's topic in The Stadium Wall
I totally agree but to go all in on offense will require something McDermott is not willing to do. It's easier for him to keep throwing darts at defensive draft picks and tell Josh to do it all. If we lose both Floyd and Jones our DL will be ass. -
I will be shocked if Babich & Brady don't get the jobs within the week.

I'm so sorry to hear that Whorl. We've known each other for years. My prayers go out to you for your wife's recovery. Hang in there buddy. 🙏🙏🙏

Chalk it up to another stupid and premature extension. His dead cap this season is $7.4 and 3.5 in 2025. We're stuck with him, Knox, Miller and Diggs. Yay

Ok and what did those 2 look like in our first playoff game? Did Sean coach them up against Jacksonville. 7 fricken points....give me a break. This ridiculous narrative that Sean is some state of the art coach because Andy and Boyd complete a miracle play is staggering. Honestly what kind of a yearly record would Sean McDermott have without Josh Allen? 4-5 wins?....maybe 7-9 Jauron level?
-
Oh so only the bright posters support McDermott....got it...let me ask you this question? How much of Sean's success is about his coaching ability and how much is Josh's ability?

People donating to charity TBass has worked with
LABILLBACKER replied to klumzyfule66's topic in The Stadium Wall
This whole idea of donating to every cause is starting to get over the top and creepy. Obviously I don't condone this awful behavior forcing Tyler to shut down his social media. X / Twitter whatever the hell we're calling it this week is the epitome of evil bullying. But what's next? Every time Von misses a tackle we'll donate. Gabe drops a ball we donate. Sean calls a fake punt we donate. The way our defense played all night there was about a 10% chance we were stopping Andy/ Mahomes from easily marching into FG territory. -
Bills Last Great Defensive Lineman

I hope 5 sacks a year isn't "as good as he is"...... -
Is the #2 WR already on this team?
LABILLBACKER replied to TheyCallMeAndy's topic in The Stadium Wall
Could he be our FT#2?....absolutely, but there's still the issue of who's replacing Diggs in the next year or 2? Kincaid will help take defensive focus off Shakir. And I'm somewhat confident Shorter & Hamler will produce beyond the nonsense Sherfield, Harty and Hines provided. It's critical we find Josh's future #1 in this draft. Khalil's catch% is incredible. -
Bills to interview Thad Lewis for OC
LABILLBACKER replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
If McDermott and Brady can't get beyond the divisional round next season, they'll both be gone. I honestly think this will be Sean's last stand to take a HOF qb beyond early playoff exits. -

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - I Just Love the Bills
LABILLBACKER replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
And that's why we've become more numb and less destroyed with each heartbreaking loss. Even Simon commented on how semi civil fans were afterward. Your trained...programed to expect the loss. I said to myself even if Bass makes this kick, we're still losing this game. It's too bad we've been beaten down so much. Maybe that's part of the narrative by many fans to just enjoy the ride. Appreciate the regular season wins and divisions. It's just hard for me to fall down that rabbit hole. -
I'm just waiting for our culture to translate to a good playoff defense. That's the only boat I want to rock.

Josh Allen the turnover machine
LABILLBACKER replied to D. L. Hot-Flamethrower's topic in The Stadium Wall
The goal should always be the 1 seed by week 17. With all our injuries late this year and suffered in the Steeler game, it would've made a huge difference. We basically would've been able to rest starters week 18, then get an extra week to heal. Between week 18 and wild card we lost Gabe, Douglas, Rapp, Benford, Bernard, Spector. And I'm sure Josh's shoulder and Stef's foot could've used 2 weeks off. Home field has been proven inconsequential. -
Yup, Josh will be runner up a 3rd time.

McDermott - Excuses, Valid but concerning
LABILLBACKER replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Every damn accolade Sean McDermott receives during his career with Buffalo will be 100% because of Josh Allen. Not because he's this amazing defensive strategist. Without Josh this team would be 5-12 every year and clappy would've been fired ages ago. The only process he preaches is the excuses every damn year for his worthless playoff defense. -
McDermott - Excuses, Valid but concerning
LABILLBACKER replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Terry is so smart and made all this money why can't he see the obvious. Does he have to get kicked in the face by the same horse 8 straight years to figure it out. I knew our coaching future was in trouble after Houston & 13 seconds. -
Can We End This Nonsense About Homefield Advantage Now?
LABILLBACKER replied to K D's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree. It's not just getting the 1 seed but if you can wrap it up after week 17, you can rest/ rehab your starters for nearly 3 weeks. Could you imagine our banged up guys getting that much time to strengthen up. Home field is nice but not necessary. 3 weeks to heal is tantamount. -
The Ripoff Report 2023 Finale - Autopsy and Prognosis
LABILLBACKER replied to WhitewalkerInPhilly's topic in The Stadium Wall
Apparently the coaches have rarely been great evaluators of defensive responsibilities based on athleticism. Klein guarding Kelce was as much a fail as Wallace on Travis 2 years ago. It should've been Dorian playing man. -

My only disagreement would be Cook. Albeit a very good RB, superstars don't drop 4 tds in a season. Cook still has alot of jugs work to do. Agree with must do everything to retain Floyd, Jones & Dane. Also Ty Johnson as RB2. Must be 2 WR's drafted in the 1st & 4th.
