Interesting. When the Bills selected Watkins in the 2014 draft, fans ( and pundits) panned the move because there wasn’t a legit QB to throw him the ball. Before the 2018 draft, fans were clamoring for a QB because it’s obvious you draft the QB first then get the weapons .Everyone knows this, look at Matt Ryan and Julio Jones you know? So which is it ? While Mahomes likely wouldn’t be having identical success in Buffalo, his abilities to run an NFL offense vs Allen’s are apparent. I’d venture he’d be putting up more than 80-100 yards passing per game.

( still he managed the most TDs of any Rams WR last year with 8. Using two first rounders to select SW pretty much assured he’d never live up to some mythical draft status. Beane and McDermott have shown a penchant for drafting a single player with multiple picks, so yes. Last time they traded back they passed on Mahomes. Doesn’t look like a brilliant move right now.

I’d say a Vet QB, an accomplished QB coach plus a top tier Offensive Coordinator. Then you’ve got a fighting chance to be good.

Could be , but they aren’t exactly the ‘70s or 90’s Cowboys. Boring imo. Of course, most areas only get one late game and fans will watch it anyway. I’d rather watch the Rams any day. Are the Cowboys the draw, or just a late afternoon football game?

IF everything from FA signings to draft picks work out AND Allen can actually play QB. That’s a pretty big ask. Perhaps they manage to get some of it right and are back to where they began. The step back could be wasted time that runs out on them.

The lake effect snow is actually right smack dab in Orchard Park and even further south. Not downtown Buffalo. There would be plenty of places to party pregame and a covered stadium would open things up to a more upscale fan. Not that it’s going to happen anytime soon, but a new downtown stadium wouldn’t be the apocalypse you make it out to be.

Who had a half dozen red flags against drafting him with a high pick. But then again, not surprising considering they fell for the “ fools gold” preseason by Nathan Peterman. Their ability to evaluate QB talent is suspect to say the least.

Yeah, after the imminent prime time MNF debacle vs New England sounds about right.

I’m already down to dry heaves after watching a few minutes of Peterman on Sunday, so Anderson starting is just as well.

Fans have been sold a bill of goods. The team was 9-7 last year and managed to make the playoffs. Improving the team enough to extract two more wins going forward ( 11-5 is a pretty solid record in the NFL year in and year out) was within their reach. They decided to take things unnecessarily downward. There is no rule book saying a team must scrape the depths in order to be perennial contenders. This FO has completely bungled the Bills.
