Pregame thread: Bills at Colts 1 pm on CBS

I think today may be a trend breaker for the Defense. I hope I’m wrong. If the offensive ineptitude continues, does the fight go out of the dog ? -

Would you draft Oliver or Bosa?

Interesting. When the Bills selected Watkins in the 2014 draft, fans ( and pundits) panned the move because there wasn’t a legit QB to throw him the ball. Before the 2018 draft, fans were clamoring for a QB because it’s obvious you draft the QB first then get the weapons .Everyone knows this, look at Matt Ryan and Julio Jones you know? So which is it ? While Mahomes likely wouldn’t be having identical success in Buffalo, his abilities to run an NFL offense vs Allen’s are apparent. I’d venture he’d be putting up more than 80-100 yards passing per game. -
McDermott's Judgement on offense is impaired.

You brought up SWs draft status, not me. Obviously that draft decision had zero to do with current Bills management. -
He looked best in a few games back in 2015. Pretty major disappointment since then.

That’s punishment for having Pats* players on your fantasy team. -

Means nothing in the big picture of what he might be doing in Buffalo. He’d likely be a bigger part of the Bills offense if still here than on a team with a plethora of targets. ( still he managed the most TDs of any Rams WR last year with 8. Using two first rounders to select SW pretty much assured he’d never live up to some mythical draft status. Two firsts should be reserved for QBs only. -

With the exception of the Watkins error and #’s 7 and 8 in the incorrect order, the list is a fairly accurate assessment. I don’t think the OP was trying to twist anything, just a couple of mistakes. There might not have been a reasonable way to retain Woods ( and Goodwin had yet to dedicate himself to football) but there was a way to keep SW in the fold. -

Beane and McDermott have shown a penchant for drafting a single player with multiple picks, so yes. Last time they traded back they passed on Mahomes. Doesn’t look like a brilliant move right now. -

Is autotype doing the “DaBoll “thing too ? I’m pretty sure it’s Daboll , but often see DaBoll used. -
Going Through WORST Possible Scenario With Allen
Boatdrinks replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The lake effect snow is actually right smack dab in Orchard Park and even further south. Not downtown Buffalo. There would be plenty of places to party pregame and a covered stadium would open things up to a more upscale fan. Not that it’s going to happen anytime soon, but a new downtown stadium wouldn’t be the apocalypse you make it out to be. -
Fans have been sold a bill of goods. The team was 9-7 last year and managed to make the playoffs. Improving the team enough to extract two more wins going forward ( 11-5 is a pretty solid record in the NFL year in and year out) was within their reach. They decided to take things unnecessarily downward. There is no rule book saying a team must scrape the depths in order to be perennial contenders. This FO has completely bungled the Bills.
