  1. This is fact. We will have to see what the offense looks like with added talent around Allen to get a true evaluation on him. However the addition of this WR talent won’t change his accuracy. He will be what he will be, and it may work. Or he may constantly miss open targets and flame out. Data is mixed thus far, and Allen’s deficiencies reading coverages and recognizing pressures compound the difficulty in evaluating him as a passer.
  2. Interesting stat. A sub-82 yard passing day looks closer to a 50/50 win proposition than I would have thought.
  3. They inquired and apparently made an offer. Since the Raiders were pretty set on trading Mack out of Conference, (and the Bears paid a steep price )the Bills would have needed to pay even more.
  4. Ten picks and a lot of $$ is great, but can Beane and McD realize that it’s better to draft 10 players with those picks instead of 5 ? Good players are found all over the draft and the Bills need a lot more good players. The current regime’s penchant for paying multiple draft picks for one player isn’t a good strategy.
  5. The ‘04 Steelers limited Roethlisberger to around 20 attempts per game, coupled with a persistent ground game and solid defense. That Pittsburgh squad was far more talented than the current Bills, and no one is predicting that the Bills will finish anywhere near the AFC title game. The concept can work and even make sense. Allen can be developed without throwing 35 passes a contest. It will take creative and judicious play calling from Daboll, and the Titans gameplan can / should be expanded on.
  6. No, I meant post as I stated. Today’s Offense would definitely have looked right at home in the NFL circa 1975. The question I answered was “ when are the Bills going to get respect from Vegas “ btw.
  7. Too soon. Cost controlled for 3 more seasons.
  8. Allen has been in the league 2 years ? Tyrod is gone because he couldn’t produce decent passing numbers even after 7 years in the NFL. Allen has started 4 games. If he can’t show big time improvement after a couple seasons he will be gone too.
  9. It’s annoying, but they had zero money to spend this year. I don’t agree with the offensive talent they let go, but it’s apparent there will be no reinforcements until 2019. The defense during Rex’s last year here ( two years ago) wasn’t very good, btw.
  10. No, but he’s very good. A good season and he may be considered top 5 or so
  11. It’s at least as bad. Fwiw McCoys 85 yards was a top ten rushing yardage performance in the NFL today. It’s a passing league plain and simple. The offense will only be good if Allen develops as a passer. Trying to hide him behind a running game isn’t going to produce many wins in the modern NFL game. Find out if Allen can do it; passing on first down once in awhile would be a good start. Then hammer Allen with the mantra that throwing to the outlet when downfield is covered is a good thing. These are easy yards that all good QBs will gladly take today.
  12. This coupled with passing on Mahomes might be this FO/ HC’ s undoing.
  13. Don’t know what could lead Bills fans to this conclusion today. We still don’t have enough information. There has been encouraging and not so encouraging data thus far. Of the 2018 rookie QBs, Allen looks to be the least impressive passer. That’s a huge concern going forward.
  14. I’d love if he didn’t call a run on almost every first down though
  15. Out of TOs.... tick this down ... I’d love a TD tho instead of FG try with this ST
  16. Lol he got in the way that’s about it from him
  17. Close, but didn’t get the hand inside the jersey collar/ shoulder pads
  18. Earth to Daboll.... NFL teams make excellent yardage throwing on first down
  19. Captain McCoy still easily the Bills best player
  20. Passing on first down is anathema to Daboll
