It really would be a move to solve it for next season. The Bills won’t be able to fix everything in just the offseason. FAs will be hard to come by, and they’ve shown little to no ability to draft offensive players. A trade for an established veteran would be a smart cost controlled move.

Excellent point. While the salary and cap hit may seem high, one need only to look at the contracts WRs were getting in FA this year. The Bills would be looking at that and then some, as they will hardly be a choice destination for vet WRs. The draft is hit or miss to put it mildly. A trade of this sort would actually be an affordable option.

Interesting. When the Bills selected Watkins in the 2014 draft, fans ( and pundits) panned the move because there wasn’t a legit QB to throw him the ball. Before the 2018 draft, fans were clamoring for a QB because it’s obvious you draft the QB first then get the weapons .Everyone knows this, look at Matt Ryan and Julio Jones you know? So which is it ? While Mahomes likely wouldn’t be having identical success in Buffalo, his abilities to run an NFL offense vs Allen’s are apparent. I’d venture he’d be putting up more than 80-100 yards passing per game.

You brought up SWs draft status, not me. Obviously that draft decision had zero to do with current Bills management.

He looked best in a few games back in 2015. Pretty major disappointment since then.

There might not have been a reasonable way to retain Woods ( and Goodwin had yet to dedicate himself to football) but there was a way to keep SW in the fold.

Beane and McDermott have shown a penchant for drafting a single player with multiple picks, so yes. Last time they traded back they passed on Mahomes. Doesn’t look like a brilliant move right now.

I’d say a Vet QB, an accomplished QB coach plus a top tier Offensive Coordinator. Then you’ve got a fighting chance to be good.

Could be , but they aren’t exactly the ‘70s or 90’s Cowboys. Boring imo. Of course, most areas only get one late game and fans will watch it anyway. I’d rather watch the Rams any day. Are the Cowboys the draw, or just a late afternoon football game?
