  1. Like most of these deals, the most recently signed contract will be the largest.
  2. What is Simms supposed to say, that the Bills will blow out the Ravens ? This is a very close matchup and the game will probably reflect that. I thought the line on the Colts game was a just a bit high at 7 or 6.5 or whatever. I had the Bills winning 31-24 and I wasn’t too far off. The weakest link in the AFC playoffs was probably the Steelers as their play had been spotty to poor for the last month and a half. Not surprisingly, they’re one and done. I’d have loved for them to eek out a win vs the Browns and come to Buffalo ready to be vanquished. So would most Bills fans. Anyway, the AFC is a tougher hill to climb, even as the 2 seed. The Bills are a very good team as well as the Ravens. Each team has a way to win this game, we’ll have to do a lot of things right on both sides of the ball to get the W and advance. Anyone that was expecting a cakewalk with the Colts wasn’t being realistic.
  3. The Bills played below par on offense and scored 27 against a good defense. The Bills defense played below their level as of late and the game got tight. This is a close matchup as reflected by the line, but I don’t think the Colts game has much to do with the next one.
  4. No one would have predicted this heading into the 2020 season, that’s for sure. Another incredible stat in a season full of superlatives for Allen. As for Jackson, he’s the outlier in this bunch and surely illustrates why he’s such an X factor. He’s the only one in the bottom five that was a winner this weekend.
  5. I think they changed the rules re: practice squad, roster call ups etc for the playoffs. They’ve been signing players since that was implemented at WR etc.
  6. If it means Deshaun Watson stays in HOU, by all means I hope Frazier gets the job.
  7. I don’t have last year’s Ravens game on the DVR anymore lol, anyone remember who spied Jackson in that game. Edmunds had a good day iirc. How about snap counts? How big was Lawson, Phillips , Star etc. I still think many elements of that game plan will be used , with a few wrinkles by McD / Frazier because the Ravens are mostly the same. Other players on our D will have to step into those roles, but curious how it was done. I think Poyer or Hyde blew the coverage on the big catch and run TD by their TE.
  8. Almost ALL commercials these days are annoying and awful. Funny thing is, there was a time when they were clever and humorous enough to overcome their built in annoyance. Seems to have infected greeting cards as well.
  9. Every scheme has a weakness, and it’s somewhat of a choice with the Bills combined with personnel issues. Bottom line, there is no perfect defense . You choose what damage you most want to limit. That’s the chess match. The Colts are a balanced offense that does a lot of things well, if nothing exceptionally. The vanilla gameplan by McD and Frazier was a reflection of that. The Ravens, on the other hand are a very specialized offense and the Bills defensive gameplan is sure to reflect that. Just review last year’s Ravens game for evidence. The Defense will need to execute at a high level , no doubt. It’s a big ask, but far from an impossible one. Jackson can blow up even a great gameplan, but it’s not inevitable that he will. The flip side of the equation is the Bills offense. They were a weak unit last season , but are now at an elite level. The Ravens scored 20 points on a very bad 3rd down defense. If the Bills offense functions at a level near what they’ve been the last 6 or 7 weeks they will be able to win this game.
  10. Both are correct. Frazier’s gameplan Vs Colts was pure vanilla, and no that won’t get it done vs Ravens. They’re highly specific and require a certain less conventional defense.
  11. Yes, HE’S COMING TO BUFFALO.....confirmed. This thread should die.
  12. Part matchups, part mental errors. No easy fix and it will be interesting who draws that assignment with the Ravens tight end heavy scheme.
  13. Defending the Ravens is completely about doing your specific assignment , discipline and sure tackling. No hero ball on defense this week. McD and Frazier came up with a great scheme last season and this year’s Ravens aren’t much different on that side of the ball. They’ll do it again; will the players execute ? One blown assignment cost the Bills last years game , but this year’s Bills have a much better offense so a bigger margin for error. Weather permitting , of course.
  14. The seeding played out as designed; the Chiefs got the weakest remaining AFC team. Could have still gone our way if Tomlin had any feel for the flow of the game. Oh well. One thing for certain, Josh Allen will have earned that contract extension if the Bills emerge with a win on Saturday night.
  15. Maybe, but .....maybe not. As the saying goes, that’s why they play the games.
  16. Raiders AFC championship game in 1991 was not a weather game. If it was played a day or even two days before, it may have been. But the weather was fine that day, not really frigid at all maybe a light mist of precipitation. The divisional round vs Miami the previous week got snowy at times. The divisional round vs Raiders in January 94 was the frigid, bone chilling game with negative windchill. Anyway, the last thing Bills fans should hope for is a weather game vs the Ravens this Saturday night. It most certainly would not favor Buffalo; this team isn’t built for a slow track slugfest and major snow issues would give Jackson the edge. Hope for a clean field , perhaps a slight bit of snow and little wind. The Bills need to pass often and score often to win this matchup.
  17. My mistake, misheard Nantz on earlier game. Fwiw Michaels already stated a little but earlier in the broadcast that Bills / Ravens is “ their game” next week so it I’ll be him and Collinsworth .
  18. This one’s done. Hope for a relatively dry field next Saturday night and good viability. Basically no major snow during game. Bills need to throw often and keep Jackson hemmed in.
  19. He will not. It’s about Covid related restrictions. The Bills night game next Saturday is a CBS game I believe.
  20. As aBills fan, I’d prefer the Steelers because I don’t think the Browns can take down KC. Baltimore or Tennessee would have a shot at giving the Bills a home AFC title game imo
  21. He believes the problem is far more severe and common than it actually is because he is biased against the police. Police already receive a lot of training in this area. If he’s not satisfied until no instances of excessive force etc occur, then he’ll be waiting his entire life and it still won’t happen. There are going to be some bad cops. This isn’t a systemic ( very overused buzzword that implies mass racism as accepted fact) problem, but rather a human one. Cops are human, and there will be some bad actors. This isn’t the 1950’s or 60’s. That’s a media driven creation. It’s like saying America has a systemic murder problem, or a systemic mass shooting problem. There isn’t a complete cure. It’s a movement to get soft on criminals and crime in general.
  22. Yeah, seems like another indoctrinated individual. One of the sheep... Ha ha. Good show !
  23. It’s a sad commentary, but some are.
  24. Incredible. Protesting the actual infringement of Constitutional rights by Governors saying you cannot pursue happiness by running your legal business to provide for your family isn’t in the same orbit ? The same orbit as protesting some unfounded “ feelz” that everyone and everything around you is somehow unacceptably racist but just don’t know it ? My goodness , how have these politicians managed to get elected ?
  25. I agree. While Floyd’s past is irrelevant to his completely unjustifiable death, the unjustified deaths of others as a result of the riots are now being swept aside as just so much collateral damage. It’s flat out wrong.
