Fracking industry projected to have $300B in losses
oldmanfan replied to cage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No. Owners can own two teams in different leagues if they are in the same market. They cannot if in different markets. It’s why the Jacobs family could not own the Bills since they also own the Bruins. If Pegula sold the Sabres it has no effect on owning the Bills. -

Should Steve Tasker be in the Hall of Fame?

Yes. He revolutionized the importance of special teams. -
I run an IVF lab and the toughest cases we have are the recurrent miscarriage ones. Great news for the Goodwins after all they’ve struggled through.

A member of the enemy but he was a helluva player. Sad to hear.

I've been a fan since opening day 1960 as a 4 year old kid. My feelings about the Jets is: meh. Don't like them because they are a divisional rival but otherwise don't care much either way. Can't stand the Patriots, but that is due to the Cheatriot era ((and some envy) of the Brady/Belicheat years. But I suspect many of the folks from my generation will tell you they have a special hatred for the Fish, after having to live through the 70's, the smugness of Shula, and then the Marino years and Cox. I still get charged up on Squish the Fish weekends.

You are ridiculous. He is the preeminent infectious disease expert in the country if not the world.

MLB seems to be trying to kill itself

Fauci is the pre-eminent infectious disease specialist in the country. Really the world.

My read is they are looking for the kind of communication and process building they have with Bean and McD. They see how successful things like process and culture are there, and I think Krueger fits the same mindset, similar to McD. If Adams does as well, then hopefully they get the ship righted. Now, if I were Adams I'd park my butt down with Beane and pick his brain on how to establish his organization, how to get good alignment, and such. As for hemmorhaging money, an't comment on that since I don't see the books. But the Sabres are Terry's thing, hockey is more his passion than football, so I'd be shocked if he ever sold. Not terribly surprised by most of the firings; Adams and Krueger no doubt has their ideas there with scouting and such. But the Rochester firings don't add up for me; they were doing well down there so unless it was a loyalty thing to Botterill then it doesn't make much sense. Put Skinner back with Eichel, sign a real goalie or bring the Finnish kid up, have Cosins join the big leagues and you should be OK.

You claim that only one side has to be tolerant of the other. You claim liberals have stereotyped actions. All you are is the flip side of the same coin. Gundy as a coach has a different responsibility. If you don’t get that you’re clueless. Let’s say you’re in a position of authority with several young women in your office, and you wear T shirts with demeaning slogans against women. Is it your position they should just get over it?

The lethal force used against George Floyd was the spark that lit the fuse. I encourage all of us who are not black to talk to some of your black neighbors, or read some literature. It is about being pulled over more frequently for no reason. It is about different housing opportunities, business opportunities. And so on. I don’t pretend to understand the plight of black men in America, and I don’t necessarily agree with each point. But if you take the time to listen it becomes a lot easier to understand why blacks feel systemic racism exists. And hard to argue.
