  1. A very good article. My daughters and I talk before every game about needing the good Josh vs. the bad. The article I think correctly shows how we get the good and bad Josh in each game. Certainly more good than bad most of the time, but the bad is what will lose playoff games. The other thing the article suggests is that Dorsey’s play calls and designs give Josh shorter options, but sometimes he chooses not to use them. When Daboll was around I can recall him screaming at Josh for bad decisions. Maybe Dorsey should. One last thing. The author correctly describes how we don’t have the same overall WR depth, O line quality, or offensive imagination as other teams. All the more reason why our record is incredibly impressive.
  2. Let's hope Gabe is the playoff Gabe. Regardless next week depends on Josh being the good Josh.
  3. I'm happy for Hodgins. He was at best the #4 WR on the Bills, and as such needed to play special teams. Which he didn't do. Kumerow was great on ST, and a good #4-5 WR. So he got the nod. Hodgins is now on a team where he is one of the top 2 WRs based on the guys they have, and he's taking advantage of an opportunity that was not going to be available with the Bills. Recall that Daboll could have had him on our active roster when he was our OC and did not do so.
  4. Davis played really well yesterday
  5. We all love Josh. But he made mistakes yesterday that almost cost the game. And to be truthful they are mistakes he’s been making for a while now. The fumble they ran in for the TD was egregious; he simply has to take the sack there. Continually throwing long when we were up 10, and giving them the ball back vs. running shorter routes and taking time off the clock is another. He fell into hero ball mode too much. We don’t know if these were Dorsey’s calls or not, but Josh has been around long enough now to know better on these type of things. I think it’s reasonable to wonder how much the emotions of all that’s gone on this year weigh on him. Again, we all love the guy. I am confident we will win a Lombardi with him at the helm. But unfortunately I am equally confident we have no chance of doing so if he plays like he did yesterday. And I would be delighted to be wrong.
  6. Any news on Jackson and Elam?
  7. Play calls should never stop momentum. The series with the two long ball incompletions did that. Whether Dorsey called that, or Josh tried to play hero ball, it was the opposite of what was needed.
  8. I would hope this week Frazier and McD come up with some kind of plan where we quit allowing teams to make first downs when they have more than 10 yards to make.
  9. Daboll could have had him on our active roster here last year and the years before and didn’t. It’s a numbers game. Good for the young man to take advantage of an opportunity he couldn’t get here.
  10. I just want them to play better. Good point. We did have a good effort overall against the Chiefs.
  11. Do you honestly believe we win next week playing how they played today?
  12. As much as I want us to win, I think we go in as underdogs against either team we could play next week. Maybe that’s a good thing.
  13. I get where you’re coming from but we had problems today that we’ve had for a while. Problems that will be exploited by the really good teams left.
  14. If we are to be really honest, I don’t think we’ve played a complete game on D, O, and ST since week 2. It is a credit we’ve done so well given that, but I don’t think it will be enough against teams we’d be facing from here on.
  15. I want us to win the Lombardi. Thus next week counts.
  16. We had it in D at the end. Motor sure as hell had it that last play. But Josh just seems off mentally.
  17. Glad we won, but if you think we can win next week playing the way they did today you’re mistaken
  18. I think we miss Daboll. He would get in Josh’s face or through the helmet Mike and scream at him to take the short routes. We all love Josh but too much hero ball the last half of the season. The line got killed by blitzes, mostly in the interior. I thought Brown played well, but next year we might need to let Morse retire, move Bates to C, and focus the draft on a couple high end linemen. On D the best thing might be for Frazier to get a HC job, and have a DC that is more aggressive.
  19. TBH they have not played a complete game since week 2.
  20. They are not as good as last year. Josh is not playing as well, and to me a lot of that is because we miss Daboll.
  21. Props to the Fish. They put up a helluva fight. Glad we win of course, but we play like that next week we’re toast.
  22. If both Elam and Jackson can’t play next week we’re hosed.
  23. Can’t play offense. Can’t play defense. Can’t coach. other than that we’re good.
  24. We deserve to lose.
