  1. Nice. Nice.
  2. You were posting normally in a thread and I checked the board. That needs an alert? This coaching talk has really made you a bit unraveled this week. On occasion we just have to take a step away from the internet. You think you’re anywhere close to that? Just looking out.
  3. Well at least it’s not turning you into an insane poster.
  4. they really were like games minus the tackling. funny you mention that story. they loved weird matchups. a coach who brought a number of his guys with him had a tackle that was an absolute monster. they were running OL/DL drills, and while i wasn't even part of it, i was called over to go against this giant kid because i assumed they thought it would be funny. i couldn't go right at him, (i was 5'9" and 180 lbs) so i tried to quickly skirt around him. well...this kid just took a weird turn and fell right to the ground. he must have twisted something because he didn't take part in a single drill for the rest of the camp. just bad luck.
  5. and those scrimmages, while flag, were pretty intense.
  6. he was a genuinely nice guy. i almost have too much of his stuff as he would give things to give to his aunt to give to my mom. i first me him at a saturday practice walk through, and he wanted to talk to the point of where he needed to be called back to practice.
  7. it was actually a good camp for technique and concepts. they had regular "chalk board" meeting, clinics, and brought in coaches from around the area. i remember entire offensive lines of schools being there. more of a camp than you would think. i was a bit late coming out one morning for stretches, and jim kelly made me run laps.
  8. I think we were at the camp at the same time! i was there the year they brought warren moon in, (i'm guessing between 97-99). Everyone was very nice, but i remember thurman thomas being the least pleasant out of the group. almost off-ish to the kids. i've met john fina a number of times. incredibly nice. my mom and his aunt went to church together, and the aunt was the head secretary at my high school. i met steve christie in his rookie year, and he was just happy to have someone interested in him. Saw ruben brown at the mall...said hi and was very nice back. i've also meet flutie on a number of occasions while in college, and he was super friendly and engaging.
  9. at what point did you and i ever discuss kc in this thread? not once. the only thing you and i have ever talked about in this thread was whether to use just the 2021 season or all of his seasons when evaluating mcd. the thread of the title is, "we don't have the mentality to win close games". that just means we're talking about the bills. no other teams were mentioned, until you decided to do so. you had the choice of answering a yes or no question. you didn't because it didn't back up your argument. then you started adding other factors, making up standards, skewing stats based on your own opinions, yet you have the nerve to call someone obtuse? it's obvious you just don't have the ability to comprehend what's being discussed. you may want to, but you can't. and this isn't just me...this is with many other posters on this board. you need to give up on this one my friend. at this point i truly don't think he understands.
  10. and what does this have to do with anything? no one ever disputed this, or even discussed this. only you. you don't need to make it simpler, because it has zero to do with what was being discussed.
  11. what does it matter? it wasn't what was being discussed. again, you're trying too hard.
  12. what do other wining team's results have to do with anything. you add information that doesn't really mean anything. listen...you have an idea/opinion in your head based on how you're looking at the information. multiple good posters, (not saying me) have explained why your methods just aren't accurate. your choice is to learn from it or not. this is just a situation where someone can't admit they're wrong. on top of that, you're skewing data just to fit your argument. no one is seeing red. you just can't let it go. i have no idea why. look at this @Billsfan1972. this is all you need to know. it shouldn't have gone any further than this, but apparently these results don't make you angry at mcd enough. isn't that what's really going on here?
  13. i don't think you even understand what is being discussed anymore. you know what this is all about? it's was about people using and 0-7 record to describe mcd's record in close games. the argument was that's only the record for one year, (2021) and wasn't a true representation of close game records. to get an accurate representation, you'd have to use his entire career here. you were asked multiple times whether you agree, and you wouldn't answer. instead, you just start manipulating date to prove a point that wasn't even asked in the first place. we all see it. you just can't. want to know how to end this? just answer whether you think it's more appropriate to look at an entire career, or just one year when evaluating a coaches win/loss record in close games. do that and people will have a reasonable conversation with you. this is not on everyone else.
  14. i always thought anyone running onto the field was fair game. if you're going to be dumb enough to do it, you're getting roughed up a bit at the end. the guy got knocked down and that's it. to try to get money out of this is gross.
  15. it's pretty similar to your argument.
  16. Any flight schedules would also be appreciated.
  17. this dude needs to learn to retire at half time like a normal person.
  18. i'm enjoying the massive range of reactions.
  19. this also means nothing. do you not realize that one of the best posters on this board is trying to be reasonable and explain something to you? have you ever once considered that maybe your thinking was wrong, and others weren't just coming down you you? this is almost getting sad.
  20. because when you're arguing your case, common sense and reasoning seem to fly out the window.
  21. didn't you make the comment that the head coach of our team has no say on the 4th down calls? people make crazy comment all the time. you're not above it. you also told us that allen would never be good, and people were just saying so out of emotion. LMFAO!!!!!
  22. i wouldn't bother. he's just avoiding answering a simple question.
