  1. I think if they ran no huddle for an extended time, and the line is sitting there in formation as I would hope they would to eat time, it will be an issue for them penalty wise. Again my view is we'd need sit there, and roll clock, playing some ugly, time-consuming football to have any chance win. And if we do, I think they false start. You can disagree but it's not hard to follow. You apparently assume our line is simply bad physically but NOT bad/raw mentally, and I don't see why you do. Newer unit "gel-wise", not that talented, not that strong. I'd just call the damn plays in the huddle, go out, and freakin' run block. A-B-Cs, 1-2-3s, because it's all I think they can handle. I think that deflects some of our weakness (line) and plays to our strength (LeSean).
  2. Very re-assuring, considering how great all the other things things they practiced all summer have worked out. No reason to worry about 31 other flavors when you can't do vanilla right. Just play a normal game and RUN THE BALL.
  3. I agree but I trust him with the ball more than anyone else right now, and if they stack the box...then Josh's life should get easier. So like I said earlier, then they have to get to the line and sit there. How many false starts you think this line or this group of receivers will have if they have to line up for a ton of time each play? Was it our first game this year where our hard count got our OWN guy to jump? (legit Q, I think it was but I may be confusing it with another game)
  4. From an offensive line perspective, yes. From a RB perspective? Not really. Lesean is the best and most proven player on offense and is the type of back who can make things happen on his own. I also like our depth there, though there is a lot more to prove to be sure. So of a BUNCH of unknowns on O, Lesean, all by his lonesome, is still our best bet IMO. And even a moderately effective run game should help with the clock and keeping the D fresh. Frankly I think we have to keep these games ugly-close for a while, Dick Jauron style, to have any chance to win.
  5. He still better sit at the line and use every second of clock if this is the case. We can barely afford to be bad slowly, we can't afford to be bad quickly. What we should do regardless of how/when we line up is RUN THE BALL.
  6. "While the past is the past, it’s interesting to hear what many of us assumed, the starting QB decision was much closer than perhaps it appeared and the Josh Allen Era was seemingly always one bad game (or half) away. " Who thought it wasn't close? And who didn't know Allen was likely always one game away? Do these guys even Bills?
  7. Everybody gets some wrong. And I was prepared for what this year might/probably will become (A throwaway, record wise). But the whole Peterman process (Drafting him period, thinking he was ready last year, thinking he was ready this year) does have me worried so far as their general QB-evaluation skills go, since the same guys also just chose the future of the franchise. Peterman stinks, stinks too badly to even be a PLACEHOLDER qb. It's their job to know that before I do. They blew it. Here's hoping they got it right with Josh.
  8. How about we just run the hell out of the ball??? Literally the safest and best plan I can see right now. At least we'll be using clock....
  9. This situation is not ideal and we shouldn't be here. But, David Carr was always gonna be David Carr IMO. I do worry about Josh's physical self. And obviously a team's make up and plans effect the Qb's career performance. But if a rough year "ruins" him mentally, like really turns him into a Carr-esque turtle who hides in his shell, he wasn't that mentally strong to begin with. Adversity doesn't build character, it reveals it, and all that.
  10. It's bad enough they drafted the guy (thought they saw something), and then inserted him last year (thought he was ready, part 1), and then let him start THIS year (thought he was ready, part 2)...if they start Peterman again I'll have 0 faith in the coaches' Qb judging abilities. I'm ALREADY pretty down on said abilities, and man does that worry me about Allen.
  11. Whelp....the only thing I can say is that I never want to see him play for us again.
  12. There's bad...and then there is this. They look completely ineffective and lost. Coach should yell some more. That'll fix it.
  13. Go Bills! Protect the ball and steal a sloppy win in the rain.
  14. 7-9. Ugh. We'll see...here's hoping they do a lot better than that! ?
  15. Lets go Bills! It's a long season but it's hard not to get overly excited for the first game....
  16. I always enjoyed seeing his columns rile up the usual BB.com suspects who then claimed they'd never read or click his links again. Wash, rinse, repeat.
  17. I really don't know what to expect from the offense, but I could totally see a scenario where our secondary gets a few picks from Jump Ball Joe and if that's the case we're in it. Just like how we won early last year, create turnovers, don't blow it when we have the ball.
  18. I try to act like I'm not about to explode from excitement, but I am. Though I was kind of actually enjoying NOT having my emotions for 6 days of the week revolve around what happens on the first day of the week. Seriously losses stick with me until Wednesday AM at least.
  19. The click bait title of the article really isn't even addressed IN the article. Who's really the worst. IMO the worst team from recent history is the worst until proven otherwise (sorry Cleveland, but your track record is hard to argue with, as Tatonka pointed out) OTOH, the final summation of the article, is this really an outrageous statement? "The Bills are lacking in too many areas, and those shortcomings will sack the season." Because it seems very possible to me.
  20. I mean I would have thought they'd consider Denver at Balitmore their top game for week 3 @ 1pm. Not complaining, just seems weird. Maybe the CBS guys want to feature a top NFC team while they can...it's hard to believe they're giving the Bills any real credit (call me jaded).
  21. Why did they give us their "A-team" (I know, I know) for the Minny game??? 1pm game, not a rivalry...huh?
  22. Ah now this is an interesting question to me...how do people feel about having friends/relations that are fans of other teams over while you watch the Bills? My best buddy for 30 years lives about 1000 ft from me. He is a Giants fan. He is never rude during Bills games, doesn't say wide right, or make any other salty comments about the Bills. In fact, he tries to be semi-supportive of the Bills. I STILL don't like having him there sometimes. When **** goes bad...I somehow want to blame him!!! (I have also been known to smoke an "or whatever" during the game. Never makes me any calmer, oddly)
  23. Home. I turn the projector on downstairs...I turn the 55 inch on upstairs...I bounce back and forth wherever I feel like the mojo is best. When games get ugly, I stay downstairs and the family lets me seethe in peace (that is, they leave so they don't hear me swearing).
