  1. Chip Kelly’s endorsement is a positive?
  2. @YoloinOhio @Blaise321 I submit the missed block on Judon last year that cost the sack fumble, the missed block on the QB sweep vs Texans that might have won the game, and most recently the missed block on Miami DE first drive of second half last game that resulted in third down sack as proof. He is lost as a blocker I am open to evidence to the contrary
  3. His blocking is and has been below average borderline terrible
  4. I thought the guy you responded to was questioning why Rodgers and Wilson hadn't been included in the Allen/Mahomes comparison
  5. Also the fact that one of the biggest draws of Brady/Manning was that they were in the same conference which kind of excludes Wilson and Rodgers.
  6. Correct. In fact, going into the Buffalo game people would have said the strength of the Dolphins team was their defense and in particular their secondary against the pass.
  7. Revisionist history. They said he was inconsistent, yes, but they also said he didn't have the tools to be a great QB. They said he was just a big arm and used the occasional misfire as proof.
  8. He’s got a live arm. It’s similar to Mahomes in that he can make basically any throw off platform so occasionally his lower body is sloppy. Usually they can get away with it. Sometimes they can’t. The difference is that Allen’s get used as proof he’s inaccurate and Mahomes’s are called misfires.
  9. Part of the pass blocking looking so good vs Dolphins was because a bunch of the time they were only rushing 4 and keeping a LB back to spy Allen. Iirc they were also pretty shy about getting upfield or out of position so not a ton of twists/stunts or different looks in passrush. As teams have to start respecting the pass game they will begin to send more pressure w different fronts which should in theory open up his run lanes again. Might be a seesaw kind of year for the pass/run statistics depending on whether the opposition plays Allen as more of a run threat or pass threat.
  10. He has the athleticism you love but he can’t catch and he’s a below average blocker.
  11. IMO saying Knox has been okay is generous. He has been below average/bad. The potential and talent are there, but he is not close to putting it together.
  12. I thought I saw Davis lined up at TE a couple times and stayed home to block but haven't rewatched the game in detail tbh
  13. I mean he's still basically a rookie
  14. I’m a data guy myself but let’s not pretend the argument that analytics is much less predictive in a game as variable as football hasn’t been had for at least several years now.
  15. I mean Schatz did call him a ‘parody of an NFL quarterback prospect’ which seems more ad hominem than analytical.
  16. At least the rest of the team is good enough to balance out the terrible quarterback
  17. i read that link and rams fans sound kinda dumb
  18. Difficult to replace ok one of the best in the game sorry no way
  19. lmfao he says 'Allen wasn't bad through the first three quarters of the game'
  20. Are you under the impression that Seattle has a good defense or something?
  21. Well that and the fact that they put out these 'grades' first thing Monday...which means they're just using broadcast footage. And in Allen's case, it's missing about 20 mins of tape because of the power outage. PFF is to be safely ignored by people who actually know football.
