  1. Pats look very good and they're playing excellent complementary football at the moment. Mac Jones looks solid. Agree with @Juice_32that having a legit team in the division nip at our heels is a good thing.
  2. Embrace the weather. Embrace you home advantage. Force the opposition to reckon with WNY in January. There is no other option to cheer for.
  3. Since I'm often bummed when I can't read their articles and have consistently heard great things, I jumped at this deal. Thanks, OP, for the rec!!
  4. The Nine-Eleven Tavern gets all the love from me. Anchor Bar is a tourist trap and once-in-a-blue moon has great wings, Duffs' original Williamsville location is excellent and pretty consistent, Bar Bill is good and has a wonderful vibe, but I find the wings there overcooked.
  5. That was awesome! Great reel and perfect music!
  6. I'm not crying, you're crying! What an amazing feeling to be back in the big conference dance after so long watching from the sidelines. I love this team! I love this board! LET'S GO BILLS!!! Punch that return ticket to Tampa!!!
  7. Looks like a TD for sure. Incredible how he managed to stay in.
  8. Regardless of how poorly we played, I was still bouncing around the living room at the end. I'll happily take this win, as we've definitely been on the other side way too much over the last couple decades. Thanks for the well wishes, Pats Fan! I'm hoping we stay the top "class of the AFC East" for as long as you were.
  9. I'm firmly on the side that believes there will be no fans and no tailgating around the stadium this season. Until there's a vaccine or robust treatment that allows people to skip hospitalization for the administer of said drug, we're just going to have to get by with televised games. The more we learn about the virus, the more its near-perfect contagion characteristics will reveal themselves. We may become even more paranoid as a result of what researchers discover.
  10. Was definitely there. I remember all the fans standing as close together as possible and constantly moving. I also remember the restrooms were the warmest place. So many people huddled inside just to steel themselves for a return to their seats.
  11. If Lamar Jackson can stay healthy, Baltimore is set up for a solid next few years. But man, it's hard to see that happening with the hits he takes. I know he's a marvel for bouncing right back up after each one, but the odds of this continuing seem low. Second hot take: I full expect Miami, much like Buffalo, to find its footing in the roaring 20s and once more compete for the AFC East. The Buff/Miami rivalry from the glory days was a blast and I wouldn't mind seeing that have a second life. New England appears due for a downturn, but stating such things sounds like a broken record. I'm pretty happy they failed to hold on to Garoppolo.
  12. Completely agree - and it wasn't the first time Daboll thought a run with Gore would somehow help move the ball downfield in a critical moment. It was maddening to see it AGAIN all the same. And yes, as a big DK Metcalf fan pre-draft, I was bummed we didn't snag him. As someone mentioned above, however, we can't fill every hole at once. I do personally believe that Allen will perform better throwing to taller targets. He seems to struggle making the tight throwing windows to shorter receivers while avoiding the interception. Could be why so many passes were either overthrown or drilled into the ground.
  13. Man, this feels so good! Giving high fives and big hugs to all Bills fans out there. WE'RE IN!!!
  14. This is where I openly wonder if the height and longer reach of Duke Williams would be beneficial. I'm not saying one guy fixes everything, but could it hurt as a short term fix?
  15. An excellent write-up with some great insights. In many ways, the growing pains associated with this team's return to playoff-calibre strength are reminiscent of the 1988/89 Bills. Back then, the pieces were coming together for what would eventually turn into our legendary dominance of the early 90s. We just have to remember that it takes time to build a truly great and dominant squad. We'll get there and damn does it feel good to know that it's coming!
  16. I know we're turning this into a wing discussion and I apologize, but... I used to love Bar Bill, but lately (as in the last time I was there a year ago), it seems like the wings are both small and overcooked. I've definitely heard great things about Gabriel's Gate. For what it's worth, I recently enjoyed a bucket of wings with family at Striker's in West Seneca and both the wings, sauce and blue cheese were excellent.
  17. If you're seeking wings, definitely hit up The Nine-Eleven Tavern if you get the chance. The owner has been making the wings personally for more than 35 years and they're phenomenal. Anchor Bar can be hit or miss in terms of quality, but the atmosphere is worth a trip. The original Duffs on Sheridan is also a sure bet.
  18. Read between the lines of what the others above are saying and you'll be rewarded with a marvelous solution.
  19. I would love to see it stay in Orchard Park. It's unique among other NFL settings, sits firmly in the snow belt and the tailgating is hard to beat. Everything is already in place for future upgrades. I understand the 'put it downtown' mentality, but OP feel like a big piece of the fabric of this team. Would be sad to see it torn away.
  20. So... we need to find our own 'good' witch? Where does one begin? Would a quasi-evil witch also fit the bill? I'm willing, especially if the candidates are as lovely to gaze upon as Giselle, to setup the interviews.
