  1. It's funny you see this post as a list of mistakes...I see it as shrewd and thus far highly successful management.
  2. It's also conceivable that we have a gm that knows how to navigate the cap and roster and we will not end up like any of the afore mentioned cautionary tales. Yea, this means cutting some guys but also funding FA gems and drafting well as we have been doing.
  3. 9 wins, on the way up and we seem to have one of the top run organizations. Pinch me, is this the Bills?? https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/28178827/the-rams-major-salary-cap-issues-their-title-window-already-closing Excerpt that matters here: (Rams are worst) Who's on the other end of this list? The team with the least amount of cap space committed to its top five players in 2020 is the Bills, who have a total of $49.925 million committed to Mitch Morse, Star Lotulelei, John Brown, Jerry Hughes and Trent Murphy. Yes, it helps when you haven't had to pay your quarterback yet. Josh Allen is projected to have Buffalo's ninth-highest 2020 cap charge, at roughly $5.8 million, and the team can't negotiate a new deal with him until after the 2020 season. Right behind (or in front of) the Bills on our list are the Dolphins (duh), who have just $51.5 million in cap space committed to their 2020 top five and could knock off another $21 million by letting go of Reshad Jones, Albert Wilson and Ryan Fitzpatrick.
  4. I dunno, his numbers don't seem gimmicky. I think Lamar is the fastest guy on the field and can sling the ball. Big, accurate armed guy. When you have that going for you, it is hard to defend. He doesn't have to make multiple reads, the offense is built for him . Plus they got a punishing bruiser for an RB.
  5. Wow. Let's hope this inspires the offense. Heartbreaking if your a browns fan, demoralizing.
  6. A win is the only status that matters. Who cares about attention. We get that when we hey to the playoffs and win.
  7. Since Vonn Miller and DeAndre Hipkins weren't available, he wanted joe schmo and his brother steve.
  8. You are missing the point, missing the entire target, in fact. The process is simply an approach, a mindset toward effort and growth. Analyzing mistakes and improving. It has zero to do with whether or not we have the right qb, wr etc. Culture is critical and if you cant see that, allow me to introduce you to Rex Ryan, Adam Gase or Jay Gruden.
  9. If the line is coming down, people are taking the eagles. You add points to induce bets on the dog.
  10. WR and QB require chemistry, it does not happen overnight. Unless you got a Tom Brady throwing or a seminal talent: ala Antonio Brown, I think a mid-season WR trade is very likely to yield little, and we know AB ain't comin' here--thank God. Two firsts for a blue chip WR seems insane to me, even a single first, unless it is a Mike Evans type, but personally, I think that guy is so full of himself, tends to be a malcontent and does not get separation. His talent is undeniable though. If we want to help this team, we get a legit pass rusher, another linebacker to backup Milano or look for value, high possible upside cast-offs. But every new addition means someone has to go. Two firsts for a certain DE/LB in Denver, that is a pool I'd swim in, maybe.
  11. Bill will win by 10. Eagles depleted secondary and the swag is gone.
  12. I have been saying this for years, the current system makes no sense.
  13. You know this is a good point, if they lose this game then they just aren't sh-it anyway, this is a game they should win easily. We will learn a little about our team Sunday-
  14. Class act, for his own sake, I hope he calls it a career, he's made plenty of money.
  15. I think he is. His lack of passion for the work required will be more evident as his superhuman skills deteriorate.
  16. I think this merely demonstrates that on any given Sunday... but also these teams are winning with these backup QBs and as such I don't think this is an indictment of the Texans. That said, I agree they are not yet consistent, but with Desean, anything is possible.
  17. This is awesome. Did you see the interview he did this week? The guy is so real, I love it. He's like, "Yeah it was cool being home in Houston. but Grandma is using my old bedroom now, so I don't have my own bed. I want to go back to my house in Buffalo." Too funny, I love that dude. He is going to be a fixture here for years to come.
