Unrest in the Middle East is a new thing? How ability the changes in the way propaganda is distributed and the ease with some of these extremists communicate? I find that is much more the problem, a crazy hand reaching out to rattle the brains of some half wit, inbred, loser who has no meaning in life. Some folks want to turn the ME to a parking lot, I think in turning the lights out you would accomplish the same thing. Isolate the infected and stop letting them influence folks outside of that war zone.

It's excuse making at its finest. What number was the pick? Every player drafted after that should be listed, those are all the could haves should haves. While you're at it provide a list of every pick selected after the 4th round pick that was also included in the deal. It's sloppy to say the trade wasn't bad because well....other teams drafted badly. The Bills tripping on their own feet has nothing to do with the other 31 teams.

Dareus is the most talented player on that side of the ball, any hope for improvement on the defense starts with a healthy motivated 99. With his talent and contract all everyone can do is hope that he chooses to take football a bit more seriously. He currently has OBD hostage if that loophole in his contract is in fact true for his drug suspensions.
-
You don't see where a scenario where he could get suspended again? I wonder if you thought the same thing about Josh Gordon, Blackmon, Bryant and on and on we go. 99 is a high risk and it isn't even debatable. What does Dareus's mistakes have to do with any Joe Blow's screw ups? He is paid handsomely to perform and hasn't done much of it since inking a huge deal. With big checks comes big responsibility.

I think you would be surprised with how many folks are also just hoping they got the hire right on accident. For the well oiled machine I don't expect anything of the sorts. I expect a lackluster start to the season and I will be looking for some mid-late season progress that could make me optimistic for 18'. New schemes, coaches, down roster, and personnel fits have me leaning low on the season win total. Whaley is gone and that's a huge plus, somewhere in this thread or the other Whaley they had an excerpt of his excuse making. Tom Brady took less money the Pats have added flexibility yada yada, no one asked you to turn OBD into Patriots Place, drafted like a fan and whined like one to. -

I have said it before and I will say it again, if McD fails then most fans will fall back to this latest hire and demand that the Pegulas not be directly involved in finding the new HC/GM in 2019? As a fan I'm remaining hopeful that this new cast of characters can get things heading in the right direction. I wanted Whaley gone, I got that. Rex is gone. Now they have new guys with a new mentality and a clean slate. Leslie Frazier? Who loves that hire? It would be so easy to slam the Pegulas and every move they make because to this date they are 100% failures with both teams. Everyone understands your view of the hire and more importantly the process. When does the fan inside you take over and just hope everything works, until it doesn't? Sure everything and everyone may fail, odds probably favor that, but everyone also knows how you feel about that. So why not ride it out and see what happens? It's going to be a long 2-3 years talking about McYacht and the meeting he had with the owners. Time will be a plenty to slam this hire if it does indeed fail. I'm supporting the coach/GM until they give me reason not to. -

Poor DW. Am I allowed to blame him for Tolbert or is that one on McD? -
Don't know, Lebron may have been busy messaging Poyer's wife.

Lol ahhhh well that was fun. Celts balled hard and the Swede seemed to get into some heads with all his yapping.

2017 NHL Playoffs.....Anybody care?
CommonCents replied to Mark Vader's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Ehh they have a lot to be proud of. They have played their back sides off the entire playoffs, the Penguins look like an all-star team out there. I hope they can recover and extend the series but I think it's over. I wouldn't be surprised to see Pitt favored over either west team in the SCF. Cheers to anyone who can take them down. -
It's an exhausted band of role players going against an all star team. They look demoralized. Stevens should send out the reserves and let them show some effort. I'm fine with losing but the lack of effort makes it unwatchable. If you are getting beat down by 30 in the second quarter knock someone on their ass and light a fire. Sure you're still going to lose by a handful of touchdowns but don't just lay down. Cavs are dangling their shorts in the Celts face and they are cool with it.

Uber finally coming to Buffalo this summer
CommonCents replied to YoloinOhio's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Lyft has the tip option but instead of take the lead they have followed Uber for the most part. Maybe that changes with the riders pricing, if they are smart they would. They could gain ground quickly. -

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-05-19/uber-s-future-may-rely-on-predicting-how-much-you-re-willing-to-pay?cmpid=socialflow-twitter-business&utm_content=business&utm_campaign=socialflow-organic&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social This is what I alluded too earlier. How do people feel about paying different prices based on their expected income which is being determined by locations of pick ups and drop offs? Fares are no longer calculated by the time and distance a driver takes you. They charge you what they want when they want, if you live in a nicer neighborhood you pay more for the same service. Uber is a **** company, unfortunately the ease of the APP has everyone fish hooked. -

Uber is convienent for the riders and drivers but everything outside of that is a shame. From tipping, to spying on its drivers, manipulating surge, now manipulating upfront fares. They expanded so fast that their habitual line stepping hasn't stopped. When they lose one lawsuit they are setting themselves up for another, that's the cost of doing buisness is what Travis would say. I wonder how riders are going to react when the newest scheme gets more media attention. Now they are overcharging for rides. The upfront fares they are charging riders are 20/30 percent more than the actual fare which they are then taking their percentage of. In the Boston area they sent out an annendum to drivers just last night explaining that this happens and it's not going to change. Of course this is in reaction to the newest lawsuit. You won't have to tip a robot, but let's face it the general public is years away from accepting these cars on the road. They pulled them off the streets quickly in CA and stopped testing. Just wait until someone dies in one or because of one, that will bring everything to a crawl. Folks have cell phone cameras going 24/7 every misstep and accident these cars cause will be on the news. Until things change continue doing the right thing and take care of those that take care of you. I did a short stint driving for Uber to pay down some bills as we recently bought a home, furniture, etc. It worked and the overwhleming majority of riders are more than pleasant, I hear the same about the drivers. The service works because the people using it/doing it make it work. The peace of mind it provides when going out for a drink or two is well worth the price. Sorry for being mouthy earlier but it is misleading to tell folks new to the service that tipping is included, many men and women out there are driving to make ends meet as a second job and taking care of eachother is what makes it work. -

You don't HAVE to tip the drivers but Uber lost a lawsuit awhile back for misleading riders with the notion tip was included. In a service based industry where you are getting door to door service in a nicer ride than a taxi, why wouldn't you tip? Does the driver load your bags for the airport trip? What a couple of cheap asses. The only people who shouldn't be tipping are ones that are using the service multiple times a day, college students etc. AAA shows up to unlock your car door, tip them to. You tip a cabbie but after saving 40 percent and having a better cleaner option you can't muscle a few bucks out of an ATM. Shame. -

What the... Exactly right. There was a bunch of concern because it was a non contact injury and everyone feared the worst. I remember people trying to find a video of it shortly after it happened.
