Can you explain why you think that? How could a conference that morphed into a pinball machine not inflate YPA? I'm at work now but I can dig into some conference numbers later and figuere it out. I'm assuming you already have though, based on the declaration that it's automatically contextual. YPA on average has to have risen for QB's in the Big 12 since 06-08, which was the meat of Daniels college career.

His last season in the Big 12 was 08', I would venture to guess QB stats have inflated quite a bit since then and that conference deserves special mention.

Referring to Ragland as a 1st round pick is just another example of over reaching in attempt to prove a point. Rags dropped like a rock and was one of Whaley's many "fantasy" picks. We will see soon enough, I try to convince myself that they can compete but when I see someone go to such lengths it sure puts things in perspective.

This post really twists and turns to make a false conclusion. One of the more talented rosters? Look at what the oddsmakers think of this team, 6 wins or less. They have revamped their entire secondary outside of a one year wonder in Darby. The LB group is among the slowest in the NFL. Hughes looks to have been a product of his teammates success. I don't see 14' Mario out there opposite him. I want this team to be good but this is not an honest evaluation of their current talent.

Last year I said 6-10, this year I'm going to 6-10 as well. More disciplined, less talented at key spots, younger, new schemes and some misfits. They will look better late than they do early. I don't like how the schedule fell, I would like the Bills to be playing a different group of teams the last month of the season. Biggest hope for the season...a Bills team on the rise has a late season victory over Tom Brady and ends his last chance at an undefeated season.

Sorry I'm a little bit defensive of Theo. I wish he would try the NFL once he gets bored with baseball, IMO the NFL is the ultimate challenge for a GM.

I'd suggest searching your posting history and seeing what percentage of YOUR posts are football related vs. the number that are directed at other posters.

Exactly right. I have said repeatedly...3 starters is more indicative of the lack of depth and talent on this team than it is the success of the draft!

I said weeks ago once the Whaley rumors surfaced again that I thought the Pegula's were taking advice from someone outside of OBD. We can both speculate who was giving the advice, that won't prove anything unless we get more details. McD's dinner date is Rex Ryan's red bottle of wine and you're relating them both back to Brandon. Let's say it went down the same way with McD... Now McD gets a recommendation from Brandon, the Pegula's once again take the same advice that steered them so far of course on Rex...following? So the Pegula's are total fools? Then they fall in love with McD and empower him to run the organization and even go as far as letting him hand pick his own GM... I'm not buying the Brandon piece but if what you want to believe is true, then you should also admit Brandon shot himself in the foot with the McD recommendation.
