I have really been warming up to Bene this off season, move after move and all pointing to building a contender but this move to bring back meatball for another season has gained all my respect. imagine, the draft and fa hasn't even passed and I am really impressed with what has been, so far, one of the best off seasons in decades!

I get accused of telling others what to do. so hence forth I have decided rather than look that way I will be sure to note "may I suggest" before any statement regarding what I think one should or shouldn't do. it would seem to be asking (nicely) rather then telling them, speaking for my self mind you. it was a team effort, coaches/players that contributed to ending the drought along with help from dalton. taylor certainly contributed and also fell flat at his position more than once during the season and for me it'll be the 3 points he (the most important individual position) and the offense could only muster that didn't sit well with me. so honestly I'm glad he has moved on and I have a good feeling that position will fare much better and not only score more than 3 points, but go deeper in to the post season? anyhow, looking ahead now and putting the past where it belongs, in the past. GO BILLS!!!

said it once, I'll say it again. this has been one of the most exciting off seasons in decades. how sweet it is to have a competent GM who knows what he's doing.

Reed83HOF should be thrown in the mix imo. I follow YOLO so that would give me a good couple of sources to follow through this exciting time of the off season.

not a success. not a complete failure either. success would of been developing in to the franchise guy this team has lacked for far too many years to count. the playoffs may of never happened if not for the defense playing as they did early on in the season or they could very well finished 5-11/6-10 and not sniffed the playoffs. that said, he was part of the team that won enough to have an opportunity for a wild card and ended the drought and I am grateful for that. you have to also credit andy dalton and the bengals for their help in getting the bills in to the post season, made for some real excitement at the end of the season. the first year gave me hope, the second season I started to question and last season I lost all hope he would be the future. I would not really rate him as successful yet I wish him well as the browns stop gap where maybe there when their future (likely drafted rookie) is ready to take over he can accept a back up role?

that's some hot take there OP. although I wont go as far as to say he succeeds, I wont say he'll fail either and will not compare him to the other failures from the past. I see it as like how a player (huges for example) who didn't have much success elsewhere, came here to a new team and environment and went on to contribute positively with the team. Daboll has the same opportunity and rather then feel he'll fail, I hope he succeeds, which in turn means the team succeeds. I guess some use the past as a way to predict the future?

have to say over 30 years, 33 to be ('85) exact since such an anticipated off season occurred like this one for me. that draft (smith, reed, reich) was the beginning of what would become the glory years.
