  1. I actually prefer their second album - which I don't think had any hits at all. None of the albums after that were all that great, but each had at least a few good songs.
  2. I was hooked as soon as I heard Lump. Grew to like them a lot - they have a lot of catchy, quirky songs.
  3. By and large (I can't speak to Prince) all outstanding blues players. Zappa was that and more imo.
  4. @T&C Been waiting for someone to convince me otherwise - and I'm a huge fan of many that were mentioned but I'm with you - hands down it's Zappa. Two faves of mine - the second is a cover by his son - but ultimately who gaf anyway? :
  5. 100%. It's also hard to imagine it as ever be a 100% All Star tournament since it makes little sense for pitchers to risk their arms.
  6. In Vitale's voice: You gotta try the eggs and sausage! Their awesome baby!!!!
  7. Background: I've been running a knockout (ko) pool for Madness for a few years. 64 entrants, everyone gets randomly assigned a team, if your team wins and covers you move on. If your team doesn't cover the other guy steals your team and moves on. Got the following text from my lawyer friend that I thought was humorous: I have been out of touch with everything super busy at work havent seen a second of an ncaa game just checked into my hotel in albany for a trial Had no idea games were in albany #$%@#% indiana marching band is playing in lobby and I have miami playing indiana tonight in ko pool im gonna get my ass kicked in hotel bar
  8. I'm a big baseball fan but the timing of this tournament doesn't work for me. Probably didn't help that I saw a God-awful game in the first round between two bad teams that took over two hours to get through 4 innings - it was a complete joke. On the other hand my teen son has been all aboard which is cool and the attendance/crowds have been pretty good so I'm happy that others are enjoying it more than me.
  9. Is this all that's left Of my life before me Straight jacket memories, sedative highs No happy ending like they've always promised There's got to be something left for me And I raise my head and stare Into the eyes of a stranger I've always known that the mirror never lies
  10. He was born a pauper to a pawn on a Christmas Day When the New York Times said, "God is dead And the war's begun"
  11. Too many to choose from. Seinfeld is the only no-doubter for me. If cartoons are in play then Family Guy gets in (due in part to recency bias). The Honeymooners gets my non recency bias vote. And I'll put Cheers on the mountain - at the expense of other great choices like Barney Miller, Taxi, Munsters, The Office...I could go on and on. Nice to see My Name is Earl mentioned by @T&C . And I'd also put shows like Soap and Scrubs in the same category - loved them all but they fell just shy of greatness for me.
  12. This idea has merit. Just need to pair him up with someone that can be the yin to his yang. Maybe it's time to bring Dennis Miller back to the broadcast booth. Seriously that pair could rival the greatness of Summerall and Brookshier.
  13. Third verse, different from the first
  14. A mashup of a popular song by The Verve with an Umphreys McGee song that I like a lot:
  15. That sounds like a fun show. Enjoy!
  16. fwiw an hour or so ago my son was on a site that that .12% of the brackets were alive for a perfect bracket.
  17. The dogs are barking in the South Regional. 4 of 7 so far. Plus a cover for Texas A&M CC.
  18. My son said it best this morning: why can't we have nice things? I'm assuming Diaz will be out for the season.
  19. She was looking so right In her diamonds and frills Oh those big city nights In those high rolling hills Above all the lights She had all of her skills
  20. Don't the sunrise look so pretty Never such a sight Like a rollin' into New York City With the skyline in the morning light Roll right through the night
  21. Train death paintings, anti-meth murals Color the ghettos of N. Dakota
  22. That song hit me. Beautiful. Reminded me of a song I heard on Chappelle I liked
  23. Just added this to my Chill playlist. Thanks for the post.
