Should NFL Adopt 3rd Place Game Week Before Super Bowl?

No doubt. Kids will still play hard in a consolation game. Can you imagine an NFL lineman giving a $%^& about coming in 3rd place instead of 4th? -

Consolation games are good for youth sports. Seems pointless for professionals. -

Low country blushing bride, blind to the ways of time Clear crystal burning mind, (she flies) Falling through liquid air with music everywhere Stone faces silent stare, (she flies) The old guard on the hill can feel the chill Deep into the freeze of those who don't believe Been a long time (Waiting on love) Been a long time (Waiting on love) Been a long time (Waiting on love) Been a long time (Waiting on love)

Strange thing for me was they went for it on 4th down around midfield on the first drive (loved it) and then made some questionable/conservative decisions that I disagreed with later in the game. As folks on this board over-analyze why we got out played by a great team I will eagerly await the thread on how McD's clapping contributed to the loss.

Diggs after game watching KC ceremony....
SinceThe70s replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Off the top of my head only guy I can think of that came close in between was Moulds. Players on the losing side watching on field celebrations is nothing new in sports. But it's usually viewed in a positive way. -

So what Diggs did is a negative? He's a self-absorbed grandstander? Is that your opinion of him? -
I'm heartbroken. Words of comfort?

Well put, my thoughts exactly. I could quibble about questionable calls by McD, missed plays, etc...but in reality we got out played by a superior team. -
The odds were low but that doesn't change the fact that you can't trade TDs for FGs against a team you can't stop. Sometimes you gotta go all in even when the odds are against you. I thought McD made some bad decisions tonight but I also don't think that's why we lost. Sometimes you just tip your hat to a better team.

Thank you Buffalo Bills
SinceThe70s replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I said pretty much the exact same thing to my wife and kids a few minutes ago. Before the season started I was looking for Josh to show improvement and a playoff win. They blew the doors off on both. Go Bills! -
Out of respect for the TOS I won't embed the Pantera video I have in mind but I hope the Bills come out $%#@! Hostile tomorrow! Go Bills!

Fun fact about Hank Aaron: growing up he batted cross-handed (left hand above right for a righty) and it wasn't until he made it to the minor leagues that the habit was broken. Fun fact about HR #715: it was caught in the Braves bullpen by relief pitcher Tom House. After his baseball career he was a pitching coach for awhile and then somehow morphed that into coaching some pretty big name QB's on throwing mechanics. As per wikipedia this included: Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Alex Smith, Carson Palmer, Jared Goff, Andrew Luck, Jimmy Garoppolo, Carson Wentz, Andy Dalton, and Matt Ryan. RIP to another baseball legend.

A Super Bowl win wouldn't change a damn thing with regard to my opinion of the franchise, legends and history. Our history is what it is, we've had some great players/memories and some remarkably painful memories. That's the gig with fandom. We're still waiting for the first SB win, when we get it - and we will - the wait for the next one will start immediately. As an out of market fan I got a laugh at my own expense at the bolded above. I think as a defense mechanism against that I've been wearing by most beat up Bills hat around town lately. Drought colors...b!tches!
