Agreed on this. I got cross examined for jury duty twice (both civil cases). The first time I thought it would be nice to sit on a jury for a week instead of going to work (I got paid either way) so I answered all of the questions in a way that neither the defense nor the prosecution would have a reason to disqualify me and I got selected. When the trial started I realized what a dumb-ass I was for wanting to be on the jury but fortunately the case settled that morning and I went back to work the next day. The second time I made it clear that I couldn't be partial and I got thrown out.

This is one of my top 100 or 200 or 300 or... songs in my top 10. I love everything about this song - but most of all the solos.

New John Mayer album “Sob Rock” is fantastic!

Thanks for sharing, great song, just wish it was a bit longer. It's aching for a pronounced guitar solo imo. Listening to the rest of the album the lyric that struck me first time through was "I shouldn't leave messages in every little song". -

No doubt about the Patriots - and I thought similar as I was typing my post. I've spent the majority of my life rooting for teams with limited success. I want more! And as it turns out the three teams I root for are all looking pretty good right now. But I need at least one to dominate. Bills may be the most likely of the three to do that.

Fun fact: At 41 years and 136 days, Rich Hill was the second-oldest pitcher to make his Mets debut. Warren Spahn’s debut with the Mets came at 43 years and 356 days when he pitched against the Astros on April 14, 1965. I had no idea Warren Spahn ever threw a pitch for the Mets - or pitched into his 40's.

I want a team that can beat everyone else no matter how hard it is. This team and Josh gives me hope that we are on that path. I don't think the 90's Bills would have won a SB if Marino wasn't in our division - and if Watson becomes a Dolphin I'll still expect Josh and the Bills to still be better. IMO, great teams/players embrace playing and beating other great teams/players. Go Bills!

Cleveland Indians announce their new name: Cleveland Guardians

They missed an opportunity to change the name to Midges in honor of Joba. I would've bought that dumb hat for sure! -

For the record I totally get that these are my perceptions and that others don't share them. I don't think I ever lobbied for retaining Chief Wahoo, I'm just happy that I got my dumb hat before it was too late. The reality is that I don't/won't wear it publicly as I understand that others view it as offensive. I considered wearing it when I went to an Indians game a few weeks ago but decided against it. -

It is pretty close - which is why I didn't dismiss it but chose to address it instead. But just so I understand your point of view with regard to 'pure racism' - if I'm as cool with a HR-hitting Indian as I am with a TD-scoring Cowboy, as if I am with a HR-hitting Marlin as I am with a HR-hitting ecclesiast (Padre, Angel), as I am with a HR-hitting guy that wears red socks (actually I'm not too cool with them - but that's another post), as I am with a HR-hitting sea-faring dude (Mariner), as I am with a HR-hitting guy who makes one of my favorite drinks (Brewers) as I am with etc.... am I displaying pure racism? IMO nicknames are intended to acknowledge/celebrate strength not to denigrate or diminish. I don't believe that Cleveland Indian was ever intended to denigrate or diminish anyone and for me personally the connotation was that of strong people and a formidable opponent. With kindest regards, Dumb hat -
LAMP Alert! Read on at your own discretion. Today I learned that when my teenage boys are waiting for their video games to start up they watch Bob Ross paint sh!t.

That's not the image on my hat that I referred to as iconic. With that said, your image shows an ultra happy/confident guy who thinks he's gonna hit the next pitch over the wall. I'm cool with that regardless the color of his skin. -

A few years ago I saw this coming and my youngest remembered something I said - resulting in a Chief Wahoo hat for my birthday. Greatest gift my kids have given me. The Guardians logo will never be as iconic as Chief Wahoo. -
