My first game at Shea was 1971, some of us have fond memories. Just yesterday I was at a virtual baby shower for a co-worker and she's naming her first daughter Shea.

LOL. I've never come across a Crankee fan who tried to hide it - and why should they? I embrace the (sports) hatred of the Mets, it's all good to me. LFGM! (if they they ever get to play)

All good bro. Appreciate the responses. I'm hyper-sensitive to Met criticism (usually warranted). I've been the same way about the Bills for way too long. Hopefully it's changed for both! Go Bills!

Love the response! OP was an obvious d-bag/troll post. I'm a big Mets fan but didn't engage until a few 'real' posts came through. My bad.

I think your claim of being Mets agnostic isn't self aware otherwise why did you love the "Worst case..." quote. Own it. How could you be agnostic about the Mets and love a quote that predicts a worst case scenario for the upcoming season?
-
Thanks for responding. Are you a Yankee fan, Yankee hater or Yankee agnostic?
-
Maybe I'm missing something here, but why do you love the quote? Are you a Met hater, Met lover or Met agnostic and just like the quote?

Next Friday (4/9), Johnson & Johnson. Wifey was looking for her Mom late this afternoon and wifey was hell bent on getting J&J for her. I think the main rationale was why do two shots if you can just do one. She ended up finding it locally and booked all three of us...at a Stop & Shop. So I have that going for me, which is nice. I was in no rush to get it as I'll be working from home for the foreseeable future but I guess no time like the present.

No doubt about Facenda being the "voice" of NFL. The other great one that we got to hear live once a week was Cosell. I didn't love him in game, but his Monday Night Football intros set to the MNF theme song and highlights were epic. I can still remember getting pumped listening to him hype "The Juice" before a Bills Monday nighter.

No multi-talented dominions Building mansions without doors The neon of the lizard dancing on his technicolor glow See the magic shining in your eyes And that you're looking for tonight You forgot You forgot You forgot about the city lights

This might be the best thing I've heard Cohen say since he took over: the Mets play most of their Saturday home games at night. Asked about changing the bulk of those to day games, Cohen said, “Why not? I don’t see why we can’t do that. It’s better for the kids, right? We want our next generation to enjoy being at the ballpark and enjoy their affiliation with the Mets, and so I think we should do that.” https://nypost.com/2021/03/29/mets-bringing-back-polarizing-black-jerseys/

3rd easiest schedule next year according to Mike Clay
SinceThe70s replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd take it a step further and omit "at this time of year". The only time you know whether the schedule was easy or brutal is after the fact. Who had us at locked in at 3-1 against the NFC West before last season started? -
It’s nice to not give a ***** this time of year

We're on the same page. Good times. -

I hear what you're saying but it would be a stretch for me to say that idgaf about anything going on in the league right now. A combination of retirement, draft, trade rumor, free agency and lawsuit surrounding the QB position around the league has been really interesting. But I'm not stressed about anything Bills related. We're in a great place coming off a season that was more successful than I expected. If anything I've been pleasantly surprised with our free agent signings. -
I don't want to be a pinhead no more I just met a nurse that I could go for D-U-M-B Everyone's accusing me

While the music played, you worked by candlelight Those San Francisco nights You were the best in town Just by chance you crossed the diamond with the pearl You turned it on the world That's when you turned the world around

You give me a cure all from New Orleans Now that's a recipe I sure do need Some cider vinegar and some elderberry wine May cure all your ills, but it can't cure mine

Thanks for the response and info, I respect your opinion. Any opinion wrt the believability of a CDC hotline making the claim that Pfizer would prevent me from getting it and prevent me from passing it along whereas Moderna and J&J wouldn't? For the record, I haven't gotten the vaccine, afaik I'm not yet eligible and frankly I'm in no rush to get it, quite the opposite. My personal opinion is that the facts about the vaccines remain to be seen. But don't confuse me with an anti-vaxxer. I'll get one of them, just trying to make an informed decision on which one
-
Upthread I asked whether anyone cared which vaccine they got and why. Appreciate all who answered. I was just talking to my sister and she said something that I hadn't heard before. It's anecdotal, second hand and I'm highly skeptical but I thought I'd pass it along anyway. The claim is that someone she knew got the vaccine and was subsequently exposed to someone who tested positive. Sisters friend calls the CDC (they're taking calls?) and in the course of conversation was told that all 3 vaccines will (to some extent) prevent you from getting Covid but Pfizer will also prevent you from transmitting it. Like I said, sounds like BS to me, thoughts?
