  1. Says in the article they moved her to another seat at some point.
  2. I'm sure it violates the terms of service for the hotel so you probably can't. Another way to do it would be to rent out apartments and houses from people then turn around and re-rent them at a higher rate. Again, that's usually against terms of service for things like airbnb so it would take an absolute load of work for a low payout for something that is marginally legal. You'd be better off putting a grand on the Bills at the current odds (28/1) and saving yourself the hassle. -edit- apparently it is legal to resell a hotel reservation and there are companies that do it and then take a cut though one of those companies just went out of business because of the current travel situation. Who knew? It's still a wildly stupid idea to do something like this on the off chance that the Bills win the Super Bowl.
  3. I assumed that's what you were doing but I don't think a publicly traded company with be impacted by who wins the Super Bowl. Publicly traded companies are impacted by sales and revenue not whether or not their employees are happy so unless you think the Bills winning a Super Bowl will cause people to buy more Fords or GMs or bank harder with local banks I don't think it will make much difference. Publicly traded things are also big enough that the impact is spread out over more of the country so if the Bills win sure there will be some people who are excited there will be another fan base in a city with some level of diaspora who are sad. Something like BWW could benefit from the diaspora of Bills fans going to their restaurants for the playoffs but even that would only be or 2 or 3 total days and they already sell an absolute crap load of wings during the NFL playoffs so improving year over year sales is hard to do. If one were really of a mind to do something like this one way could be in getting blocks of hotel rooms downtown for the week after the game in anticipation of a parade and the selling those rooms to out of towners who will flock back for said parade. I don't know that the hotel will be keen on this and it's a massive gamble on your part (not so much of an investment) but there's a way I see to make some scratch. FWIW add sofa manufacturers to the list because I think quite a few will go up in flames that night.
  4. Inbev, SABMiller, Newell Brands (maker of Rubbermaid folding tables), all big Pharma that make heart and blood pressure medications.
  5. Went to Susquehanna State Park in Maryland the other day and saw a bunch of herons and a couple bald eagles. Not quite my backyard, but close enough. I used to have a feeder in the yard but the deer got ridiculous and would just destroy it to get whatever I put inside
  6. Well, once you get to DE it's DE route 1 south either to us 13 past Dover or us 113. I prefer 113 because it has fewer lights and rejoins 13 at pocomoke city, md. Both ways suck on Friday and Saturday and the opposite direction on Sunday. Once you are in that area there really aren't a lot of ways to get around the traffic and it's the primary way to the de beaches and ocean city md from the entire east coast. Traffic can be truly ugly. Anyway, Then you take 13 all the way down and across the Bay Bridge to 64, 64 to VA 168, VA 168 to US 158 158 across to Kitty Hawk to NC 12. Traffic on 158 and 12 can also be ugly because, again, there are no alternate routes to speak of. The best you can do is time your trip so as not to arrive from 10am to 6pm on Saturday. That's the worst. Several mile backups before you cross to Kitty Hawk then stop and go traffic for 10 miles to Duck. Once you pass Duck it's ok to Corolla but getting to Duck is abysmal at that time. I haven't gone Further south so I can't comment about that if you are going to Nags Head or Hatteras. Given that onions pay most of the bills in my house im going to have to disagree with you there. Does Miracle Whip qualify as food? It's edible, but that doesn't make it food.
  7. It is wildly unpopular but I'm with you on this. There are bad people in the military just like everywhere else and deifying people who put on a uniform has dangerous consequences. Do not misinterpret, my family has a strong history of service and I appreciate it but serving does not grant you super citizen status. You are just like the rest of us with the same rights as the rest of us.
  8. Really? I haven't sexually assaulted anyone or done jail time. Have you? I say again, he was my favorite player as a kid. He doesn't deserve to be up.
  9. True, but if OJ were not on yet, do you think he would put on today?
  10. If the drive in wants to pay for the rights I'm sure they can come to an agreement. They aren't going to just let them do it though.
  11. You know that little tidbit they put in every broadcast about re-broadcasting being expressly prohibited without written consent from the NFL? This is what that's about. This would be re-broadcasting. Even if you let people in for free. They need permission from the league to do it and that sort of permission isn't free.
  12. It has been probably 10 years since I've watched a MNF game for longer than 5 or 10 minutes. His name is Anthony. Agree with this. She is brutal.
  13. That deal closed in q1 of this year and, like most deals where the smaller company buys the bigger one it was highly leveraged. It's not a good time for them to have a liquidity problem and that's exactly what this situation has given them. They essentially borrowed 4 billion dollars and have no money coming in. They furloughed two thirds of their staff. Now, if the world goes back to somewhat near normal soon it will be fine, but if it doesn't cash flow is a serious issue and I don't see government's rushing to bail out ticket scalpers and the EU has gotten pissed off with Viagogo already before this.
  14. If they go bankrupt you become a creditor in a long list of creditors. At the end of the line.
  15. It comes down to who you trust to declare Chapter 11 last. The team/league or StubHub. Their cash flow situation has to be downright awful right now and they are practically begging venues, artists and sports to call things postponed rather than cancelled so they can stanch the outflow of money. If there is a second round of shutdowns in the fall/winter I'd be very concerned about getting my money back.
  16. I'm not sold on Allen or Daboll at all and I think the defense is pretty overrated (as in top 15, not top 5)
  17. I'm at 7-9. Maybe 8-8. 3-3 in the division, split them up however you want. L's @ Las Vegas (their home field advantage in year one is going to be insane) @ Tennessee v. KC on Thursday v. Seattle @ Frisco @ Denver
  18. Unless they are up by 40 that's a mistake.
  19. If I were the Jets I'd bury myself next to Jimmy Hoffa and call it a day.
  20. Yes, North Jersey is typically balmy in late December. You know all those tans are fake right?
  21. We all just misread it. It's these to circulate the air in the sweat sock they call a stadium.
  22. FIFA very much does not like governments interfering with soccer no matter how well intentioned.
