  1. I’m not sure it matters for Beasley. I see him primarily as a man beater in the short area. Only people reading the QB eyes in man are robbers or single high safeties. I don’t think either are making a play on that ball. Lastly if it’s an option route doesn’t he need to read the cut?
  2. Agree the short game is his biggest weakness. But this is one of the reasons I like McBeane. They addressed his biggest weakness with a good player. Is cole gonna have the stats he had in Dallas? Maybe not. Is josh gonna have better stats on the shorter throws? Probably cause Beasley gets more separation than all our previous receivers. It was moves like this that the fan base is getting behind.
  3. Yup sorry about that. Got distracted by the chart which had some really funky things going on. I'm sorta trying to ask how much this actually points to real "aggressiveness." Feels like there are a lot other variables involved like system (how often are you asked to throw anticipation throws) and receivers ability to get separation. Sorry I missed that definition.
  4. What is the definition of "Aggresive" Feels weird to think Eli Manning is more aggressive than Mahomes and Watson.
  5. There really isnt a better gauge is the problem. You would have to put them in shorts and let them throw to really know. I think Josh scores well in those situations actually (he seems to be really good at hitting cross bars from time with Simms and Dilfer). The processing and system is what drives a lot of this. The point about extrapolating Dak's attempts from LOS to 10 yards for Josh was great. He attempts throws down field and it drives his numbers down. I dont agree with every play ronin identified but there are some plays he should hit the check down.
  6. Yup. I did the analysis and many of the throws to the flats were not that open (in the 0:27 play Shady is pretty clearly being covered). Couple of situational things too (whos gonna hit a guy in the flat on 3 and 20 or throw to the RB in the middle of the field with < 1 min). Generally I agree his hero ball needs to stop and that should be correctable for such a raw prospect (the PFF guys contend if he hasnt learned now he never well, but I'm not so sure). Take away hero ball and have his receivers help not hinder him would go a long way.
  7. The videos in these tweets are funny cause you can pause it and Barkley is winding up while Allen is chilling. Then advance to Allen’s receiver catching the ball before Barkleys receiver. That load to target time from Josh is insane.
  8. I know there was a cover 1 video or two (one was foster I think) that referenced the quick 4 steps. Those guys are usually on point so I’m gonna defer to them.
  9. Yup they were definitely not all doubles. The others are chip blocks. It could explain why LBs had trouble flowing to the outside but star did seem to hold the middle down based on the ypc.
  10. You should check the article @thebandit27 linked. The eye popping part to me was that Pats averaged 3 ypc in the middle and 10 to the left outside and 6 to the right outside, iirc. Also the article clearly showed Star being doubled, chipped, or trapped (Belicheck game planned for star in the middle of the field, rather than let just let Mason take him 1v1). Star doesnt seem to be the reason we got ran over in that game.
  11. I agree particularly because he didnt have any 1st quarter interceptions. That should also indicate some hero ball.
  12. They can get out of Kroft contract pretty quickly (year 2 iirc). If you think he was the long term solution and not Knox then you’re not seeing the process. Yes Beanes plan to address the TE position long term hinges on Knox. I think a draft choice in this deep class was always the long term solution.
  13. TE was always gonna hinge on if Knox works out. Agree that this is a set back because it means more lee smith. I was ok with the signing considering how deep the class was at the position. Hopefully they can hold it together at the start of the season and Kroft is back for the tough stretch at the end. I was expecting a lot of empty sets based on last year so maybe daboll will go back to that.
  14. Feliciano appears to be the back up to Morse because hes with the ones today. I think Bodine is gonna be traded for a mid-late round pick.
  15. Gotcha missed the 5th year option. Agree hes not a top 5-10 player. Still looks silly though to give him his 5th year option when hes not a top 5-10 player. Feel like they could have not given the 5th year option, drafted Allen, and then tried to negotiate a contract. Thanks for clarifying.
  16. You could sign L. Williams to another contract; why do you need to replace him? If you do sign him then you have him and Allen. In the end good for us cause I think if they take Allen then the Raiders take Q Williams and not Ferrell which probably would have not cause Oliver to drop to us.
  17. I also think Ford might need a minute before becoming RT full time. I think Ford will start at RG and will move to RT either next year or the following. Nsekhe is a short term starter imo.
  18. Yeah but because there are no pads you are unlikely to get any read on this.
  19. This where we’re posting our OL predictions? Im going with Dawkins Spain Morse Ford Nsekhe Long back up center Waddle swing tackle (Nsekhe would move over if needed) feliciano and teller battle for final iOL spot.
  20. Rodgers Roethlisberger and even Foles was running RPO are all mobile. Is it just skewed by Brady and the Manning Brothers winning so many? I agree you need to be good in the pocket but a lot of mobile QBs win (or get to) the Bowl. I'm not really considering Dilfer or Johnson as mobile. I would argue the 2015 Broncos Defense carried Manning versus him "winning" from the pocket. There are many ways to win or get to the Super Bowl; however, I would agree that having a great pocket passer is the most common method.
  21. His bio on pff says #4 https://www.profootballfocus.com/nfl/players/lee-smith/6311 but only lists him as above average.
  22. Basically. They will likely use some for mid year signings and the rooks will be a bit but yeah it rolls over.
  23. I agree with this assessment, but I wonder if/hope an NFL weight room might do something to help his explosiveness. BC primarily runs the ball so maybe he hasn't conditioned his body that way yet. That would be great considering his hands (the full layout catch was very nice).
  24. I've heard good things about his blocking (I'll try to find reference) which was surprising to me since he was a former QB. I think both of these TEs were good pick ups. It was a very good year for TEs so hopefully we found 2 good ones.
  25. I think there is little chance Knox makes it to the PS. Someone would probably pick him up. I think we drop Dimarco and keep 4 TE's. Fisher and Sweeney battling for the last spot but Fisher loses pretty clearly.
